Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Girls Don’t Like White-Haired Curly Guys

[Su Xiaoqi: Zhuqing, I really appreciate your kindness, but there's no need for that. Honestly, I didn't do much.]

Su Xiaoqi had no problem accepting points from Lu Linglong and Nami—he was giving them ideas, and they were simply compensating him in return. He felt justified in taking their rewards.

But Zhu Zhuqing's offer genuinely startled him. He didn't think what he said to her earlier was worth that many points. If he accepted her offer, who knows what the other group members might think of him?

It felt like he was operating an excavator and suddenly unearthed something priceless. Sure, it might make him rich overnight, but he wouldn't dare to keep it. After all, he considered himself a principled and professional excavator operator.

[Sakata Gintoki: Zhuqing, Gin-san wouldn't mind. I love living off beautiful women—it's my favorite kind of freeloading.]

[Zhu Zhuqing: I hate white-haired curly guys.]

[Sakata Gintoki: Hey, hey, hey! What's with you people and your bias against curly hair, huh?! This is discrimination, damn it!]

[Nami: We have no issue with curls—just with shameless, white-haired curly guys.]

[Lu Linglong: Nami's right. It's because you keep making dirty jokes all the time.]

[Sakata Gintoki: Come on! That's not lewdness—it's humor. Don't you get it?]

[Zhu Zhuqing: Su Xiaoqi, what you said earlier meant a lot to me—honestly, it gave me a new lease on life. A simple meal doesn't even begin to repay the kindness you've shown me. Aside from points, I really have nothing else I can offer you.]

[Sakata Gintoki: No, no, no. Gin-san thinks you can give yourself to him! He's got Saiyan blood—your kids would be insanely powerful.]

[Lu Linglong: Are Saiyan kids really that strong?]

[Sakata Gintoki: Of course! Especially half-Saiyans born from Earthlings and Saiyans. You'll see—just watch Dragon Ball Z later. Gin-san's so jealous. Damn it all.]

[Su Xiaoqi: Gin-san, can you not stir up trouble for once?]

[Su Xiaoqi: @Zhu Zhuqing, don't listen to that mop-headed nonsense. Here's the deal—if you really want to thank me, forget the points. Just do me a favor. How about that?]

[Zhu Zhuqing: Of course. Say the word. If I can do it, I absolutely will.]

[Su Xiaoqi: I need you to go to your local blacksmith and get a pair of gravity wrist and ankle weights made for me. Let's say 10 kilograms each for now. I'm just starting my training, so I'll increase the weight gradually later.]

[Su Xiaoqi: You can get a set for yourself too. Start with 3–5 kilograms—anything more would burden your body. You're still young and in your growth phase. When I outgrow mine, you can use my old ones.]

[Zhu Zhuqing: Got it.]

[Sakata Gintoki: You're training like Kakarot, huh?]

[Su Xiaoqi: Yeah, that's right. No one here to spar with, so this kind of training is all I can do. It'd be even better if I had a gravity chamber. By the way, could something like that be built in your world?]

[Su Xiaoqi: My money doesn't work in your world, but I just checked the bank—turns out I've got some gold. Funny thing is, this world lacks living beings, but everything else is perfectly intact.]

[Nami: !!!]

[Nami: Let me go ask around for you! But… can you give me some gold first? Heehee~]

[Sakata Gintoki: No way! Gin-san's handling this! With that gold, I'll never have to sweet-talk any grannies again or work another day in my life!]

[Lu Linglong: Fine, I'll help you ask around too.]

[Su Xiaoqi: Alright, I'll leave it to you. If it's possible to make a weighted training outfit too, I want one of those. I'll send you my clothing sizes later.]

[Zhu Zhuqing: I'll go ask the blacksmith right now.]

[Su Xiaoqi: Thanks! I'm off to get something to eat and look for a place to stay.]

"These guys in the group are seriously entertaining," Su Xiaoqi thought with a grin. "Too bad Hanamichi Sakuragi hasn't said anything yet—he'd make things even more fun."

Su Xiaoqi chuckled as he closed the group chat. With this chat group, life wouldn't feel so lonely anymore.

As the sky grew dim, he grabbed some water and dinner ingredients from a supermarket and checked into a high-end hotel.

"So this is what a rich person's life is like… Damn, it's addictive."

Lying in a massage chair, Su Xiaoqi relaxed and enjoyed a luxury he'd never experienced before.

Back in his old world, he lived in a cramped four-person dorm barely over ten square meters. The facilities were lousy, and every day he had to endure the stench of his roommates' feet.

But now, he was staying in a presidential suite over 100 square meters, surrounded by lavish furnishings, living the dream of wealth and comfort.

This world was strange—though it lacked any living people, things like water, electricity, and gas all functioned perfectly.

Just as Su Xiaoqi was about to start cooking dinner, he received red envelopes from Zhu Zhuqing, Lu Linglong, and Nami.

Looking at the pile of food on the table, he gave a wry smile. "There's no way I can eat all this by myself…"

He sent each of the three a thank-you message and sat down to enjoy his first meal in this new world.

As he ate, he realized something astonishing—he actually managed to finish everything on the table, without feeling full in the slightest.

"Looks like having Saiyan blood really did increase my appetite…"

He quickly figured out the reason and felt thankful that food here didn't cost money. Otherwise, with this kind of appetite, he'd go broke just trying to feed himself.

After cleaning up the table, Su Xiaoqi, feeling a bit bored, flopped onto the couch and turned on the TV.

"Tch, as expected—nothing on any of the channels."

He clicked his tongue in disappointment, but then a bold idea popped into his mind.

"Wait a minute… Could I use the chat group's world-hopping feature to repopulate this world?"

Once that idea took root, it started snowballing—and the more he thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.

He could invite people from the others' worlds—those who were struggling or living hard lives—to move into his world. After all, this place lacked nothing. Land, houses—everything was just sitting here.

But as he kept thinking, Su Xiaoqi realized a major challenge—just figuring out how to bring people over would be a massive problem in itself.

"Forget it. No point stressing over it now. That kind of thing won't be solved overnight. I'll figure it out later."

After dragging himself off the couch, he took a shower, then stood by the window, looking down at the quiet streets and city below.

"This really takes some getting used to… I guess this is the world I'll be living in from now on."

"Mom, Dad… are you doing okay? I'll live well in this world, so please don't worry about me. If I ever get the chance, I promise I'll find a way to come back and see you."

"Good night… my first night in another world."
