“I beg you, Mia. Please tell me that this child is mine,” Henry begged as he looked at the woman holding the little boy in her arms. But, just as he reached forward to hug her—

“Dear brother, just what do you think you are doing? Why are you trying to hug my wife and son?” Lucas stepped in between the two with a cheeky smile on his lips.

He pointed to the boy and said, “Look carefully; he is my son.” 

Mia snorted upon hearing the two men fighting over her son. She hugged the little boy and smiled politely, “Last I remember, I was the one who gave birth to him. So carry on with your games, boys.” 

Mia Wills never knew how feeble life truly was until she lost everything in a matter of just a few hours. Seventy-two hours ago, she was a happily married woman who was about to head for her honeymoon. But seventy-two hours later, she met with her husband’s cold eyes, who asked her to divorce him. 

An accident ripped Mia’s world apart. Not only did it nearly take her life, it also took away Henry Holman’s memories. Her newly married husband. 

With more than three years of memories gone, Henry no longer remembered pursuing Mia and marrying her out of love. Instead, he believed the lies of his first love and girlfriend, Jamie Hudson, who spun a story where she was chased away by Mia, who took her place and married Henry by lying to him. 

And what did Henry do after listening to her lies? He demanded a divorce, chasing Mia away from his life.

Lucas Holman, the half brother of her ex-husband, was back in the city and he returned not only to take back what belonged to him but he was there to do it with a bang. 

And Mia, who was set to forget the night of their entanglement, found herself in another turmoil when Lucas offered a contract to marry her. In exchange, he promised to save her father.

The temptation was too strong for Mia to ignore. 

But as she signed the contract, she swore to never fall for Lucas. 

But would she be able to keep her feelings at bay when Lucas starts showering her with his undivided attention?

"Dad…" Mia parted her lips. However, what was she supposed to tell her father? Ask him to stay away from Lucas; that didn't seem alright. Especially when he had given her a job and helped in stabilising their family. Inwardly, Mia also knew the things that Lucas had done for her. Thus, even though she was wary of Lucas, she couldn't say a word to her father. 


"What? What's wrong?" Mr Wills asked. He blinked his eyes and naively looked at his daughter. 


"It's nothing," Mia replied with a shake of her head. "I was just wondering how to repay Mr Lucas for all the things that he has done for our family." 


Though Mia knew in her heart that Lucas had not helped her out of the goodwill of his heart, she still didn't like to owe him for the little things that he was doing for her father and her. 


And even though Mia was questioning the reason behind Lucas's actions, she felt that it was quite nice of him to come to the hospital and keep her father company.
