Mia sat opposite Lucas. Even though the man didn't say anything, she had a feeling that something was bothering him. Not one to withstand the silence, she asked him, "Is everything alright?" Mia had always been sensitive, and when she felt like something was wrong, she would clear up the misunderstanding if she could.
That was how she was with Henry, and even though Lucas's and hers was not a normal relationship, Mia didn't want them to fall into silence because of an unclear misunderstanding. She thus took the first step and questioned Lucas about his silence. Wanting to know what made the man fall quiet all of a sudden.
Lucas paused. His hand, which was holding the fork, stopped midway. Honestly, a part of him wanted to tell Mia the truth. He wanted to question her why she showed him kindness when she looked down at him in her heart for his status.
