As Aaron contemplated improvements to the magic net,
a voice of prayer surfaced from the depths of his mind.
Normally, he would have ignored it.
These days, the number of people connected to the magic net had long surpassed measurable limits. Every second, countless whispers of prayer were cast his way—treating both the magic net and him as divine beings.
For such meaningless transmissions, his mind usually blocked them automatically.
But this time was different.
This voice belonged to someone with tens of thousands of connection points—someone with the potential to rise to a high-level authority.
Aaron didn't mind dedicating a fraction—one ten-thousandth—of his thoughts to hear the report of such a manager.
"Sovereigns? Supreme Evolution? Attack on the Guardians of the Galaxy?"
The message came from Ayesha, High Priest of the Sovereigns.
Between the Creator and the God of Magic, she had ultimately chosen the latter.
Though Supreme Evolution was strong—indeed, the very creator of the Sovereigns—Ayesha understood the cruelty and horror that came with him.
Even though Adam, incubating inside his golden cocoon, was on the verge of emerging—ready to be reborn at any moment—she placed no hope in him.
Though Adam embodied the pinnacle of Sovereign genetic technology and possessed incredible abilities like traversing the universe, calculations showed that even the perfect Adam stood no chance against the God of Magic.
What's more, in his desperation to capture 89P13, the Supreme Evolution had lost all patience. He couldn't wait for Adam to complete incubation and instead catalyzed his birth prematurely with his own technology.
Even if Adam were to emerge, he would lack basic cognition, much like a newborn—requiring patient education and training. His power would also be reduced.
Whether this version of Adam could defeat the transformed Guardians of the Galaxy was uncertain.
Especially since there were two Apostles of the God of Magic among them!
Judging from the strength of the First Apostle, Hela, their magical prowess now surpassed that of entire civilizations.
Given all this, Ayesha had no confidence in Adam's chances.
Therefore, changing allegiance was the wisest decision.
After defecting, Ayesha didn't hesitate to reveal everything about Supreme Evolution—his objectives, plans, and methods.
It was pure evil.
Ayesha reported in grim detail.
Now Aaron had a solid grasp of who Supreme Evolution was.
In essence, he was a neutral force similar to the Collector, master of the Void—only far more powerful.
So powerful, in fact, that he could be compared to Thanos. And in some aspects, even surpass him.
His brutality was certainly on par with the Mad Titan.
Yet, even after hearing Ayesha's most damning revelations, Aaron didn't consider him as dangerous as Thanos.
He posed no threat to Aaron's grand design.
Still, acknowledging potential complications, Aaron passed the intelligence to Hela, Nebula, and the others, letting them handle it.
Upon receiving the news, Hela and her team immediately changed course and sped toward the last known location of Supreme Evolution.
Meanwhile, Rocket—upon hearing the name—was plunged into painful memories.
He recalled the horrors of experimentation.
He had once believed himself to be a perfect being created by Supreme Evolution—destined for a new world with his companions.
But in the end, Supreme Evolution had discarded them like trash.
All his friends were slaughtered. He himself became a fugitive, wanted for his brain—coveted for research into the perfect lifeform.
Rocket escaped, became a bounty hunter, met Groot by chance, and eventually formed the Guardians of the Galaxy.
But he never forgot the hatred.
Still, he was well aware of Supreme Evolution's power.
Until now, he had kept the truth from his friends.
Because revealing it wouldn't bring justice—it would only bring death.
And because he couldn't face his past.
The trauma was so fresh it felt like yesterday. He didn't want to remember it, let alone return to where it happened.
Rocket had always tried to run.
But the Guardians had become renowned across the universe.
And once again, they'd attracted Supreme Evolution's attention.
This time, he was ready to strike again—ready to hurt Rocket's companions.
Rocket decided he would run no more.
The time for reckoning had come.
The Guardians were no longer alone—they were under the protection of the God of Magic. They had received divine blessings. And Hela, Goddess of Death, led them.
Even if Supreme Evolution commanded vast forces, he was nothing compared to the Kree Empire or the Matrix Race.
And the God of Magic was the deity to whom all other gods bowed.
Thanks to Hela, they already knew what had transpired in Asgard.
They were in awe of Aaron's charisma and power.
As for Hela herself—she had completely abandoned Asgard's throne.
Though she lacked political instincts, others helped her understand: Asgard was now merely the symbolic ruler of the Nine Realms.
Its real influence was confined to the divine domain.
The true ruler of the Nine Realms—and possibly the entire Milky Way—was the God of Magic!
And as promised, Aaron had fulfilled that vision.
He had become the Lord of the Nine Realms—the being revered by gods.
And the true ruler of the Galaxy wasn't far behind.
This was the age of the magic net!
Under the light of the God of Magic, gods and demons alike would transform. All races would kneel!
Though not the one under the spotlight, Hela was the catalyst. As Aaron's First Apostle, it was only right that she held honor.
She believed Aaron would realize each vision shown to her—one by one.
The multiverse awaited.
Standing at the bow, Hela's gaze drifted to the horizon. She saw a vaster world.
Stronger beings.
And she was destined to follow Aaron—to become a goddess who ruled over the multiverse and faced down even mightier foes.
The Guardians began to envision their future.
Smiles broke across their faces.
They saw hope.
The magic net had changed their destinies.
In that hopeful, vibrant atmosphere…
The fleet reached the headquarters of the Org Group—created by Supreme Evolution.
"This is the headquarters of the Auger Group," Gamora briefed. "It's not a constructed facility—it grew from living matter."
"The Auger Group is controlled by Supreme Evolution. It's a super-organization devoted to genetic research."
"He's likely inside."
"But the structure is protected by three impenetrable plasma shields."
"Breaking in won't be easy."
Gamora summarized all known intelligence.
Star-Lord grinned. "Not easy? Don't forget—I'm a thief. There's no place I can't break into. Even if it's the Matrix Clan's base, I can crack it. Leave it to me."
He prepared to hack into the Auger Group's defenses.
But Hela stepped forward.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Star-Lord protested.
"Stop talking and follow the fleet!"
With nearly limitless magical power, Hela didn't bother with the defenses.
She had inherited Aaron's violent style of combat.
Any resistance would be crushed.
Rather than wait for Star-Lord to hack in, she simply smashed through the plasma shields.
This immediately alerted the Auger Group.
They reported the intrusion to Supreme Evolution.
At that moment, Supreme Evolution was en route to Anti-Earth. The news stunned him.
He had yet to confront 89P13—and yet, the enemy had come for him!
Among them was the God of Magic himself.
They had declared war over a raccoon!
"Damn it! How dare they?"
"For an experimental subject?!"
"Why?! Why?!"
"I offered them the best of both worlds—why choose the stupidest path?"
"Wouldn't my friendship be more valuable than a failed experiment?"
The moment he learned that the God of Magic's Apostles had joined the fray, Supreme Evolution's rage ignited.
On one side: the powerful Supreme Evolution.
On the other: a rogue experimental subject.
To any rational being, the choice was clear.
Yet they chose rebellion!
Did that mean they thought 89P13 was equal to him?
He touched his face—his ego bruised.
And he seethed.
"Prepare everyone. We're going to Earth!"
"Including the Anti-Earth Army?"
"Absolutely. The God of Magic must pay!"
His fury boiled.
Since he had been insulted, he saw no need for diplomacy.
If necessary, Earth would burn with them.
A regrettable loss—but worth it to recover 89P13.
"And activate the contingency in 89P13."
"He's my property!"
"No one takes what's mine!"
Rocket, as one of his creations, had a kill switch embedded inside.
It could end his life instantly.
Though Rocket's brain was more valuable alive—preserving its activity for research—if control couldn't be restored, death would suffice.
Losing brain activity would complicate things, but nothing was worse than losing control altogether.
"Tell the Sovereigns to send forces too. They're just aesthetic test subjects—but they'll make fine cannon fodder."
Ayesha had already begun showing signs of rebellion.
No reason to keep her alive.
Better to extract full value before she was wiped out.
As for the Auger Group…
Rescue was no longer viable.
Their attackers weren't just the Guardians.
They were backed by a massive fleet.
And among them stood the Goddess of Death.
If they couldn't be saved, then let them serve as bait.
Lure Aaron's subordinates in.
While he headed straight for the real target—Earth.
He'd destroy it in one stroke!
Just like past experiments…
He had already harvested Earth's insights into music, beauty, and culture. The planet had no further value.
If it meant killing the God of Magic—he would detonate it without hesitation.
