Scene: Back at the Campsite
Ben and Gwen return to the Rust Bucket after the encounter with the robot.
MAX (concerned)
So let me get this straight…
You found a device that turns you into aliens?
BEN (nodding, showing the Omnitrix)
Yeah. And it looks like I can only stay transformed for ten minutes… then it takes about three minutes to recharge.
I wonder if one of the aliens could help me build some kind of armor—y'know, something to protect me in case I change back mid-fight?
MAX (sternly)
Absolutely not.
We don't know what that thing really does. And I'd rather keep you safe than have you running around picking fights.
Before Ben can respond, a loud mechanical crash BOOMS nearby. A massive humanoid robot crashes into the clearing, kicking up smoke and debris.
BEN
Whoa—
MAX
Ben, wait! Don't—!
GWEN
BEN!
Scene: Battle Site
Ben sprints through the trees, ignoring their calls. As he reaches the scene, he sees the robot towering over a small group of people trapped beneath rubble. Its chest begins to glow—charging a powerful energy beam.
Ben looks down from a rocky ledge above, panic in his eyes.
BEN (desperate)
Come on, give me something—anything that can stop this!
He slams the Omnitrix dial and leaps off the cliff, free-falling as the watch recalibrates. Mid-air, he slams down the core. Green light engulfs him—
Just as the beam fires.
Scene: Max and Gwen's POV
Max stares from the tree line in horror as the blast hits directly where Ben landed.
MAX
BEN!!!
GWEN (gasping)
Wait… look!
The beam doesn't explode—it's being absorbed. The light fades to reveal a new alien form: tall, sleek, with glowing lines and spark plug-like appendages extending from his fingers and head. The energy from the robot is flowing into him.
Scene: Alien Reveal – Feedback
FEEDBACK (Ben's voice, distorted)
Guess it's time to give you a taste of your own medicine!
He unleashes the stored energy in a focused blast, firing it straight back at the robot. It strikes true—
KRABOOOOOOM!!
The robot explodes in a burst of sparks and metal. The civilians cheer as debris rains down safely around them.
FEEDBACK (turning to leave)
Alright, show's over. I better get back to the Rust Bucket.
Scene: Later, Back at Camp – Two Hours Later
Ben sits by the fire, quiet. Max walks over and sits beside him.
BEN (softly)
Are you mad at me?
MAX (after a pause)
Mad? No.
What you did… it was brave.
Stupid, but brave.
But that's who you are.
I could try to forbid you from using that watch again… but I know you, Ben.
You're going to jump in to help people whether I say yes or no.
Ben looks down at the Omnitrix, his expression conflicted.
GWEN (joining them, arms crossed)
And you're not doing this alone, got it?
We're gonna be the ones bailing you out of trouble every time you leap in without thinking—because let's be real, you rarely think first, dweeb.
BEN (grinning)
Hey! I do think sometimes.
It's just… my body moves before my brain catches up.
He stands up, holding his wrist high as the Omnitrix glows faintly in the firelight.
BEN
But no matter what… I'll do my absolute best.
Promise.
Max smiles quietly. Gwen rolls her eyes—but there's a small smirk on her face.

Fun fact! Originally I was going to place this self-insert story during Alien Force… but decided the classic series gave me more room to explore a younger Ben growing into a hero. Still rewatching the show to refresh everything, but so far, just going with the flow!
