Hi guys! So my exams been going.. well not great, but at least it's going. However, next week I have three consecutive core courses I have to pass as a nursing student. What I'm trying to say is that it is likely I won't update at all next week. However, I will try to finish this arc of Sera and Lucian understanding thier past before I go on a break so I don't leave you guys hanging too much. Till then, happy reading!
Sera's Pov
"Sera," the other Lucian said, his voice quiet but clear. "You can let go now."
The words were gentle, but there was a distance in them. A coldness I hadn't heard before from him. My breath caught in my throat.
His Sera pulled back slowly, blinking at him with wide, teary eyes.
He didn't look at her now the way a mate should. The way he always had. Not with love. Not with recognition. Just politeness.
