Sera's Pov
I stood frozen, barely breathing as I watched the two of them—myself and Lucian, but not us—speaking with the Moon Goddess beneath the silvery glow of the garden's moonlight. It was surreal. Like watching a memory I hadn't lived but somehow belonged to. Every movement, every glance between them carried a gravity I couldn't look away from.
The Moon Goddess had a gentle, ageless presence, her voice both a melody and a command. "It's time," she said to them. "This world can no longer hold your fight. You must let it go, and begin again. Abandon this world and reincarnate."
Her words settled over the scene like snow, soft but inescapable.
The other Lucian frowned, his jaw tight. "Why?" he asked. "Why is that the only way? There has to be something else. What will happen to this world if we leave it behind?"
His voice cracked at the end, just barely, but the other Sera reached for his hand. They were already mourning what they were being asked to surrender.
