The four Executives had no words to reply to her.
"Is the sect master not here?" Azelis asked, her expression flat.
"No. He is at the frontline," Executive Rudh said before he sighed. "We knew those two had shady dealings, but to think…"
"What about that piece of trash Rakin?" Azelis interrupted him as she asked and glanced at a spot down on the mountain, where Rakin was standing with other Tamers.
Rakin's expression was ashen and ugly as he saw the hologram. His name was mentioned multiple times, and it was clear that his life in this sect and chances to make Azelis his were over.
'Goddamn idiots!'
He contacted his family without further ado, telling them to pick him up as soon as possible.
The executives looked at Rakin before turning to Azelis, their expressions complicated.
"You know we can't do anything to Rakin. He is not directly involved, even if he may have pushed the button," Executive Jasmine said with a soft sigh.
