Chapter 194 - 194. Up in flames

"Oh, it's time! Tenmard, go to your place." Melhior said with a wide grin on his lips, when he suddenly pulled himself up after long minutes.

"Good luck, boss." The man nodded and turned around to go about his own business, while the Onegod sat grinning on the edge of Floating Air Barracks.

"Let the show begin." He chuckled under his breath, when he had waited long enough to be sure that his companion had taken his place. Then he stood up and clapped his hands. At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then slowly orange-red flames rose in several parts of the Floating Barracks. "Run, my little lambs, the world is burning." The man laughed as he looked at his work with outstretched arms.

At the same time, several parts of the Floating Barracks simultaneously became aware of the fire. At first, only the townspeople tried to stop the flames, of course in vain, but then other people in the city noticed that something was wrong. Marianne, the world's most famous tailoress, and her husband, Matthias, the best blacksmith in the world, left their home deep under the sea in concern when they heard the first screams.

Tele Tete, Physalis Alkekengi, and the Shadows only noticed the problem when the flames reached Floating Air Barracks and the teachers had to start evacuating the school. At the headquarters of the Immortal Mist, a loud bell stopped Suk and Teveli in their conversation. The bell turned out to be a fire alarm, when Kamu and Ajtony literally ordered the Mist's assassins to the surface.

Benkó and Achilles stared at the flames with wide eyes when they first appeared, but they quickly gathered themselves and ran back to Floating Air, where Razvan, with the help of Citar and Wandi, was helping the still half-asleep Rahul out of the Athamanas' quarters. The poor boy seemed completely unaware of what was happening around him and it was a miracle that he was able to stand on his feet.

"Boss! Does anyone know what's going on?" Suk asked Razvan, when the Athamanas were somehow once again together in the chaos.

"We have no idea what's going on here, but we need to help stop the fire." Razvan said seriously, but before the team could do anything, a loud shout broke through the desperate screams.

"Good evening, Barracks! You can't believe how touching it is that you're all here!" At the strange voice, all the cultivators with greater strength in the city turned as one towards the black-robed, hooded figure standing grinning on the edge of Floating Air Barracks. "I am not that important a person." The stranger chuckled. "However, since you are here, it is fitting that I greet everyone." He raised one hand to his mouth, as if to hide his laughter. "Greetings Matthias, the greatest blacksmith in the southern seas, and his dear wife, Marianne, who weaves with the skill of spiders."

"He knows who you are." Matthias muttered with narrowed eyes.

"About you too, eventhough you hide it well." Marianne grimaced beside her husband.

"Greetings half-demons, demons, daimons, danovuses, oh and of course the ancient danovus." Melhior continued to chuckle. "Greetings Immortal Mist and their long-lost Ishán. As well as the three leaders of the Shadows, and of course the great leader of Chájna." He pretended to bow.

"Three?" Kamu narrowed his eyes.

"Don't even ask, I thought there were two." Ajtony stopped the question.

"Greetings, Ghost king. Oh and here is the great leader of the Predators, what an honor, it's been a long time since anyone has seen you." Melhior laughed. "And last but not least, greetings to "Csito" and the Athamanas." As the man said this, it was as if he was looking straight at the group.

"Who the Fene is that guy?" Achilleus grimaced, staring at the figure standing in the middle of the fire with his hands clenched into fists among his companions.

"Now you must want to know who I am, and how I know about all of you." The strange man put his hands on his hips. "Allow me to introduce myself." He paused here, then placed his right hand over his heart. "I am the Onegod and this night is my work!" He announced. "No, no! No stupid sudden movements, you will come out worse in the end. Anyway, there is nothing to worry about here. You know, the world is coming to an end. Chaos awaits around every corner. Although, if you ask me, it deserves it. It is time for you to be punished for what you have done." As he said this, the man's voice rose strangely. "But! As the good Onegod, I have decided to give you a little warning. If you do nothing and just sit on your asses, the whole world will be like this!" He spread his arms, pointing at the fire.

"He is crazy." Suk grimaced and was about to attack the guy when Razvan put his hand out in front of him. "Boss?" The boy asked in a worried voice.

"He is too strong for you, Suk, you wouldn't know what to do with him." The leader of the Athamanas grumbled.

"Rahul! You shouldn't faint now!" Came Citar's worried voice and when he turned towards The Bolacsuk boy was holding a nearly fainted, snow-white Rahul in his arms.

"So, my dears, try to stop the end of the world. Who will be the hunter and who the hunted? Let me see if there is anyone strong enough among you to reach me. Or will I just have to snap to destroy everyone." Melhior sighed, not stopping his monologue for a moment. "Take this as a warning. Everyone here today. Sacrificed for the days of peace, the clock is ticking. Every minute counts! Catch me if you can!" He laughed and snapped, as a result of which all the flames in the two Barracks went out at once, and the black-cloaked Melhior disappeared as if swallowed by the earth.

"Where did he go?" Benkó started looking around, as did many others in the two Barracks, but no one saw the strange figure and no one got an answer to his question. The fire disappeared as if it had never happened, not even the smell of smoke filled the air.

"I think we will have a lot of work to do in the future, Marianne dear." Matthias said seriously, still staring at the spot where the stranger stood, even though other figures were already there and arguing with each other. "There will be war." He announced.

"It really seems so." The woman agreed with her husband. "Have you seen his energy somewhere before?" The woman asked.

"This is what's annoying, I have never seen anything like it before." The blacksmith grumbled.

"Is he that strong?" The worried question came.

"To be honest, I don't know. I can usually tell how strong someone is, even the half-dead Mukei, but I don't see anything from him." The young-looking blacksmith sighed.

"Then I'd better get to planning and get ready for anything." Marianne folded her arms in front of her.

"Exactly." Her husband nodded as the couple silently watched the worried cultivators gathered in the Barracks.
