"Shave" — the most basic move of the Six Powers — was also the easiest to learn. Its principle was simple: by stomping the ground dozens of times in rapid succession, one generates enough rebound force to move at high speed. From the enemy's perspective, it looks as if the user vanishes.
Kaze had only trained for a few hours before mastering this physical technique.
By the time Shisui could react, three of Kaze's fingers had already plunged into his eye socket.
In that moment, Kaze held his breath.
He drove his fingers in with brutal force, giving Shisui no chance to cast a genjutsu or activate Susanoo.
With a clean and ruthless motion—
Kaze ripped Shisui's left eye out!
Squelch!
A splash of crimson followed the extracted eyeball, scattering through the air like dancing red butterflies.
"AAAH!"
The sudden ambush made Shisui scream out instinctively.
But right after that, everything went dark in front of him.
Reflexively, both of his hands reached up, trying to recover his left eye.
But Kaze was a step ahead — his toes kicked off the ground as he leapt away with precision and speed.
From the moment he activated Shave to the successful extraction of the eye—
The whole sequence had been seamless, clean, and took less than a second.
Even the famed Body Flicker Shisui only realized what happened after the pain struck.
It was already too late.
"Got it…"
Kaze steadied his footing, eyes locked on the eyeball in his hand.
Three black tomoe swirled inside a blood-red pupil.
Shisui's left eye — Kotoamatsukami.
The same eye Itachi had used in the original story to break free from the Edo Tensei control.
Now, it was finally in Kaze's possession.
However…
Even though Sharingan eyes were plug-and-play in the Naruto world, Kaze had no intention of gouging out one of his own for this.
Thanks to his Uchiha lineage, he already had his own fully developed three-tomoe Sharingan — and might even awaken the Mangekyō in the future.
More importantly…
Kotoamatsukami didn't have to be embedded in his body to work.
He could do what Itachi did: implant it in a crow, for example.
As long as he stored the eye properly, that was good enough.
With that in mind, Kaze carefully held Shisui's left eye in one hand and retrieved a pre-prepared nutrient solution container from his clothes.
Opportunities always favored the prepared.
Ever since the Third Shinobi War, Kaze had gotten into the habit of carrying such bottles on him—just in case he came across a spare Sharingan or Byakugan on the battlefield.
Click.
He expertly twisted the lid open with one hand, dropped Shisui's left eye inside, and sealed it shut.
Whew…
Staring at the long-coveted Kotoamatsukami finally in his grasp, Kaze let out a deep sigh of relief.
"Ka… Kaze…"
On the other side, Shisui was panting heavily, trying to calm the storm of emotions raging within him.
Not in his worst nightmares had he imagined this — not only did Danzō covet his Sharingan…
Even Kaze had his eyes on it!
"Shisui."
Despite having achieved his goal, Kaze wasn't in a hurry to leave.
Through the sensory web he had constructed, he could feel several Root shinobi rapidly approaching.Even the barrier around the Naka Shrine couldn't hold them off for long.
"Is this what you call your ninja way?"Shisui knelt on one knee, now forced to locate Kaze by sound alone.
His heart burned with bitterness and unwillingness.
"So much for your nonsense about 'my heart and actions are as clear as a mirror, everything I do is for justice'…"
He recited Kaze's so-called ninja creed mockingly.
Because nothing about having your eye forcibly ripped out felt even remotely like justice.
To Shisui, Kaze was no different from Danzō.
But even with Shisui's sharp sarcasm, Kaze's expression didn't shift in the slightest.
Just like those words…
"My heart and actions are as clear as a mirror. Everything I do is for justice."
Even if it meant taking Kotoamatsukami by force, he did it openly — with no guilt.
He had always believed his actions were right.
No regrets.No compromise.No redemption arc.
Even though Shisui couldn't see anything now, he could feel that Kaze was still standing there.
"What's your next move?" Shisui asked coldly. "Kill me here and pin it on Danzō?"
"Then rile up the Uchiha clan and spark a coup?"
Despite his injuries, Shisui ignored the pain.
His mind spun rapidly, trying to piece together Kaze's plan and counter it then and there.
"You won't succeed, Kaze."
"Your strength might be great, but the Third Hokage and Danzō aren't weak either."
"Especially Danzō — he has Izanagi up his sleeve…"
"Yes, somehow, Danzō has already gained access to our Uchiha clan's secret techniques."
"Even if you and Fugaku work together, you still may not be able to defeat them."
"And don't forget — the Uchiha's reputation is already at rock bottom. If a coup breaks out, the other clans in the village will side with the Third Hokage."
"At that point, Konoha will be bathed in blood and plunged into misery."
"The Sand Village, eyeing Konoha's water supply… The Stone Village, craving Konoha's fertile land…"
"They'll jump at the chance to invade."
"Your plan will only drag the village into another war…"
Shisui's voice was strong and forceful as he laid out the situation before Kaze.
What the Uchiha clan lacked wasn't just brute strength — they lacked support from the people.
"Kaze, becoming Hokage isn't about gaining power. Only those who have earned the people's trust…"
"…can become Hokage."
Though Shisui had "guessed" Kaze's entire plan, he couldn't see any path to success.
Shisui's speech grew faster and more urgent — desperately hoping Kaze wouldn't do something reckless.
As Kaze looked at Shisui, eyes now tightly shut, a strange expression flickered in his gaze.
He had imagined countless possible reactions Shisui might have after having his eye taken.
But he hadn't expected this guy…
Even now, even after everything — Shisui was still thinking about Konoha.
He had to admit, this guy's Will of Fire was unwavering.
"Shisui."
Kaze really had considered killing him right here and now — pinning the blame on Root to stir up the Uchiha clan.
But after hearing everything Shisui said, he found himself wanting to respond.
According to the calculations of his mind web, the Root shinobi were still about 40 seconds away.
He had a little time left.
"The conflict between the Uchiha and Konoha has never been just because our clan wants to rebel," Kaze said calmly.
"There have always been problems on both sides."
"But in a situation like this, to unconditionally pledge loyalty to the village, and dump all the blame and the need to 'change' onto the Uchiha…"
"The end result will always be the same — the annihilation of our entire clan."
"If the village could truly treat everyone equally — if they didn't try to suppress the Uchiha, and instead tried to guide and accept us in the right way…"
"…no one would throw away a good life just to start some bloody coup."
Kaze paused for a moment before continuing, "But let's not even talk about the village. You and Uchiha Itachi — have either of you ever truly treated the Uchiha equally?"
"You haven't."
"You two have always drowned yourselves in this self-sacrificing, self-righteous delusion called the Will of Fire."
"But this world doesn't need some abstract, hollow thing like the Will of Fire."
"What it truly needs is the spirit of our people."
"Only by awakening and uplifting that spirit… can the Land of Fire make real progress."
(T/N: Ok, Since some of you want me to make sure that Shisui doesn't die, I'll try to do it. If the OG plans to kill him, I'll maybe make some changes to try and let him survive. Anyway hope you enjoyed this chapter.)
