Hayate explained the rules of the fight to Reika and Gaara.
Both would fight until one of them died or admitted defeat.
However, if he felt the outcome had been decided, he could intervene and stop the confrontation.
Finally, Hayate looked seriously at both contenders.
Sasuke... no, Reika Uchiha was a young girl of about 14 or 15 years old. She had long, straight black hair tied back in a practical ponytail to keep it from getting in her way during battle.
Her eyes, dark and deep, conveyed seriousness and determination. At that moment, Hayate noticed she had activated her Sharingan.

Reika had a slender, athletic figure, as was common for a well-trained young Kunoichi.
Her face was fine and elegant, with a serious and unshakable expression as she faced her opponent. Very different from the one she had shown minutes earlier, when her enigmatic master—whom Hayate didn't know—had made her blush with just a few words.
She wore a simple black shirt with the Uchiha Clan emblem on the back.
Over it, she wore a black cloak that gave her an imposing presence.
Finally, at her waist hung a straight sword, a Chokutō. Hayate noticed the blade was made of chakra metal.
Then, Hayate turned his gaze to Gaara, a boy who also appeared to be around 15 years old.
He was slightly shorter than Reika, with very pale skin and short, spiky brick-red hair.
His eyes were a light turquoise, with no visible pupils. He had no eyebrows, and his eyelids were darkened, giving him a disturbing appearance.
On his back, he carried a large gourd—container of the sand he used in battle.
Hayate, who had seen him fight before as an examiner, knew how dangerous he was.
Gaara was a powerful user of the Kekkei Genkai known as Magnet Release, which allowed him to convert chakra into magnetic forces.
Hayate discreetly looked toward the Kazekage of Sunagakure.
The Kazekage, Rasa, also possessed Magnet Release, being capable of controlling Gold Dust.

Hayate was worried about Reika, a young and talented Kunoichi from Konoha.
What would happen if Gaara ended up killing her...?
Hayate would make sure nothing like that came to pass.
Finally, he sighed with concern and, after a brief silence, started the match.
"REIKA UCHIHA VS. GAARA! LET THE SECOND MATCH BEGIN!"
Immediately, the sand from Gaara's gourd began to pour out and spread across the battlefield.
Reika didn't waste any time and drew her sword.
"Kusanagi no Tsurugi: Chidori Katana!"
Reika channeled her Lightning Release chakra through her Kusanagi Sword, significantly enhancing its sharpness through high-frequency vibrations, and also increasing its range.
Thanks to this technique, she could cut through almost anything and, if she managed to wound her enemy, numb them with electric shocks.

Reika felt she could never thank him enough for everything he had done for her.

Immediately, his gaze shifted to Izuna, seated next to Mikoto and Fugaku.
Izuna was already watching him, a calm smile on his face.
Naruto didn't know, but Izuna had never stopped training in the Pure World.
Although Izuna had never met the Fourth Raikage, A, he did know of the Third Raikage—also called A—through the stories Tobirama had told him during their time together.
When Tobirama was still the Second Hokage, it seemed he had met a young boy from Kumogakure with a technique that rivaled his Flying Thunder God Technique in terms of speed.
That boy would go on to become the Third Raikage of Kumogakure.
Upon hearing this story, Izuna had immediately taken interest in the technique.

Fugaku was also impressed.
"Why are you both so surprised? Did you doubt my abilities?"
"To be honest, I thought you'd be as much of an idiot as your brother," Fugaku replied, not taking his eyes off the fight.
"Fufu~" Mikoto laughed upon hearing this, not denying it.
She had thought the same until they finally met in person.
Izuna rolled his eyes at Fugaku's comment.
Many in the stands recognized the technique of the Fourth Raikage, now used by Reika Uchiha.
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, brought a hand to his forehead, anticipating a massive headache.
It was only a matter of time before Kumogakure accused them of espionage, infiltration, and the theft of classified information.
The Lightning Release Chakra Mode developed by the Third Raikage was one of Kumo's greatest secrets.
For a moment, Hiruzen wished he had died long ago, just to spare himself from so many problems.
He leaned back slightly in his seat, burdened by the headache he felt.
For a moment, Hiruzen felt a small twinge in his old heart.
At this rate, he was going to have a heart attack.
Maybe, if he was lucky, he'd be reunited with Biwako sooner than expected.
