Chapter 86: So What If You Have Money?

On the auction stage, the Spirit Douluo elder spoke in an excited tone, "Honored guests, we have now arrived at the final three headline items of today's auction! I'm sure you've all been eagerly waiting for this moment."

"Enough with the chatter," he continued. "Now, let's present our first featured item!"

As his words fell, a small cart covered in a red cloth was slowly pushed onto the stage.

All eyes in the venue locked onto the cart, and many people began breathing heavily. They all knew that underneath that red cloth lay the ultimate treasures of the Soul Master world.

Most of the guests present were well aware that they could never afford these soul bones. They were simply here to witness history, to catch a glimpse of these legendary artifacts. Some had never even seen a soul bone before and knew they might never get another chance.

The Spirit Douluo elder carefully lifted the red cloth. In an instant, a dazzling light burst forth, illuminating the entire venue.

On the cart, resting on a finely crafted tray, was a brilliantly radiant crystal like left arm bone. Its mesmerizing glow and the surging energy fluctuations it emitted made it seem utterly irresistible to every Soul Master present.

Many people's eyes filled with burning greed, as if they were moments away from rushing the stage to seize it.

"Hmph!"

A cold snort echoed through the venue, followed by a suffocating pressure descending upon the crowd.

The overwhelming force instantly cleared the minds of those intoxicated by greed, sending chills down their spines and making them break out in cold sweats.

This pressure did not come from Ye Cheng but from another Titled Douluo among the VIP guests most likely someone affiliated with the auction house, helping to maintain order.

The Spirit Douluo elder, now regaining his composure, introduced the item, "This soul bone originates from a 60,000 year old Shadow Gale Wolf and is a left arm bone. As you all know, soul bones are incredibly rare treasures."

Pausing briefly, he then declared, "The starting price for this precious soul bone is 8 million gold soul coins, with each bid increment no less than 1 million."

The price was entirely reasonable given its value. However, even though many wealthy guests in the hall had expected a high price, hearing such an astronomical figure still left many crestfallen.

If the price had remained at 8 million, some might have been able to afford it by selling everything they owned. But everyone knew this was just the starting bid the final price would undoubtedly skyrocket.

Realistically, the winning bid was estimated to exceed 10 million a sum far beyond their reach.

Thus, when the Spirit Douluo elder announced the starting price, no one in the general seating area even dared to press the bidding button. Silence filled the venue.

After a brief pause, the first bid was placed.

However, the bid did not come from the general seating it came from one of the VIP rooms. These were the real players in the game.

"10 million gold soul coins!" A guest from Room 3 called out, their voice as gentle as a spring breeze, yet carrying an undeniable determination. They immediately raised the price by 2 million, making it clear they were serious contenders.

"15 million gold soul coins!" A guest from Room 2 followed, raising the bid by 5 million without hesitation, demonstrating their absolute confidence.

"18 million gold soul coins!" Room 4 chimed in, unwilling to back down.

And so, the guests sitting in the general seating area could do nothing but sit there, staring blankly as the VIPs kept throwing money around.

For the first time in their lives, many realized just how poor they were.

Inwardly, they cursed: So what if you have money?!

Not only did they think it, but the jealousy and resentment in their eyes were practically overflowing.

In the end, the Shadow Gale Wolf Left Arm Bone was sold for 31 million gold soul coins to a bidder in Room 5.

Inside Room 1

Ye Cheng, upon hearing the final price, was somewhat surprised even though he had anticipated a high value.

He had originally estimated that a left arm bone like this would fetch around 20 million. Never in his wildest dreams did he expect it to break 30 million!

"These imperial aristocrats are filthy rich…" he muttered inwardly. "Damn feudal nobles, hoarding all this wealth from the people. They should all be strung up on street lamps!"

Back on the Auction Stage

Without wasting any time, the Spirit Douluo elder signaled for the next item to be presented.

Another small cart, covered in a red cloth, was pushed forward.

Once again, as the elder lifted the cloth, a dazzling radiance filled the hall.

This time, the soul bone was also an arm bone but instead of a left arm bone, it was a right arm bone.

In general, right arm bones were considered more valuable than left arm bones.

Since over 90% of people were right handed, soul bones exclusive to humans naturally reflected this bias. As a result, right arm bones were in greater demand, making them more expensive.

"Ladies and gentlemen, our second item is a 60,000 year old Earth Barbarian Bear Right Arm Bone. As such, the starting bid is 10 million gold soul coins, with increments of at least 1 million."

This time, no one questioned why the starting price was higher than the previous item it was simply common knowledge that right arm bones were more valuable.

"20 million gold soul coins!" The Room 2 bidder immediately doubled the starting price.

"30 million gold soul coins!" Room 3 followed without hesitation.

"40 million gold soul coins!" Room 4 placed an instant bid.

A brief silence followed.

Then, after a few moments…

"45 million gold soul coins!" Room 2 increased the bid again.

"46 million gold soul coins." Room 3 followed.

"50 million gold soul coins!" Room 4 declared.

Inside Room 1

Ye Cheng watched the insane bidding war unfold and couldn't help but be speechless.

'Damn… the only difference is that it's a right arm bone instead of a left arm bone, and the price jumped by nearly 20 million?'

These people were ridiculously wealthy.

Back on the Auction Stage

The Spirit Douluo elder cleared his throat before making an announcement.

"Ahem… Next, we present the final item of today's auction!"

Another small cart, covered in a red cloth, was pushed onto the stage.

As the elder lifted the cloth, a skull shaped soul bone was revealed.

"As you can see, this is an extremely rare head soul bone one of the most valuable types of soul bones in existence!"

With genuine admiration, the elder continued, "As we all know, there are six types of soul bones. Among them, the most coveted are the torso bones, followed by head bones.

Not only do these bones provide significantly greater benefits, but they are also far rarer than other types!"

"For this reason," he said, pausing briefly, "the starting bid is 50 million gold soul coins, with increments of no less than 5 million per bid."

At that moment, the entire auction hall fell completely silent.
