Chapter 134: Good News and Bad News, Those Without Immediate Worries Must Plan for the Future
Han Li casually squeezed the little glowing orb in his hand. It had a nice texture.
"So, I will become the master of this plane? But if that's the case, won't my future strength be limited by you or, rather, by Douluo Continent itself?"
Han Li pondered as he rubbed the glowing orb between his fingers.
"No, Father, you and I are special existences. Due to your influence, Douluo Star's evolution will take a unique path it will not ascend into a pure energy based plane like the Divine Realm, nor will it require lower planes to maintain its position."
"Douluo Star itself will be your Divine Kingdom, a Divine Kingdom with a tangible form. Although the cause and effect sequence is reversed you appeared after Douluo Star your presence influenced my awakening. Once I fully control this plane, it will be as if you created it from the very beginning."
"In terms of divine rank, you will be at the level of a Creator God. Until you reach the limits of what the universe can support for a Creator God, your strength will not be hindered. On the contrary, the evolution of this plane will rely on you."
"Even in the worst case scenario, you will steadily reach the absolute peak of the God King level."
The little glowing orb grew more excited as it spoke. After all, as long as Father kept growing, its authority would eventually surpass the five God Kings of the Divine Realm combined.
"What about the Divine Realm? Are they just going to sit back and watch Douluo break free from their control?"
Han Li suddenly realized a serious problem his path to ascension was practically digging up the Divine Realm's foundations.
"For now, you don't need to worry about that, Father. The Divine Realm is not solely dependent on Douluo as a subordinate plane. In fact, it even provides energy feedback to its lower planes to some extent. However, for unknown reasons, they haven't taken much action regarding Douluo."
"But one thing is clear: The Divine Realm is not lacking in energy. What they truly need is a powerful subordinate plane to serve as an anchor and connection. Since Douluo's evolution does not conflict with the Divine Realm it is taking a different evolutionary path they will actually do everything in their power to help you become a god."
The little glowing orb flickered and floated onto Han Li's shoulder.
"Yes, before I become a god, they will do everything to support me."
Han Li let out a meaningful sigh.
He sat down, deep in thought, letting the glowing orb continue circling him.
Becoming a god beforehand was fine. Even becoming a god itself was not an issue. But after he became a god what then?
Sure, if Douluo became a Divine Realm, it would benefit the existing Divine Realm.
But could the Divine Realm really accept a weaker subordinate evolving into an equal?
Or worse, could they accept a plane that could eventually sustain itself one that no longer needed to send new talents to the Divine Realm and instead became a necessary foundation for its stability?
Could the Divine Realm really tolerate a situation where they depended on someone else's existence?
Three possible outcomes:
"Throw a feast, then execute him.""Force him into submission, make him their pawn.""Recruit him, turn him into one of their own."
Han Li refused to accept any of those options.
If before becoming a god he had to act cautiously, and after becoming a god he still had to bow to others, then what was the point of ascending in the first place?
Wouldn't that just make him a god in name only?
So, the Divine Realm before his ascension was his greatest support, but the Divine Realm after his ascension might become his greatest enemy?
What about Shura? Or that Sea God who was so desperate to escape?
What role would they play in this situation?
Han Li drummed his fingers against his knee.
He needed to think carefully about his future approach.
Maybe he should first accept a god position, then betray them once he was strong enough? Or perhaps, he should trap them instead?
Han Li continued tapping his knee, lost in thought. Eventually, he grabbed the little orb and interrogated it further before finally letting go.
After an extended period of contemplation, he stood up.
"You should be able to seal off the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and temporarily obscure the Divine Realm's surveillance, right?"
Han Li looked at the floating little orb, speaking with serious intent.
"Yes, Father. Do you need me to do so right now?"
The little orb stopped moving, understanding that it was time to prove its usefulness.
"Seal off the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well first. As for blocking the Divine Realm's gaze, wait until I need it. Keep pretending to be asleep in the meantime."
Han Li pondered for a moment before giving his instructions.
"Understood, Father. Just call for me in your heart when the time comes."
"I will remain dormant for most of the time this will allow me to better merge with my instincts and resist the Divine Realm's influence. However, no matter when or where, I will always respond the moment you call."
The little orb shined brighter, seemingly trying to prove its loyalty.
"Good. You can go now. I'll call you if I need you."
Han Li almost dismissed it, but then suddenly paused and asked,
"Wait. How closely is the Divine Realm watching me right now?"
"Their focus has weakened significantly, but occasionally, multiple divine senses still glance in your direction. However, there have been no individual divine scans lately only group observations."
"...Alright. That's enough for today."
Han Li nodded in confirmation, signaling that the little orb could leave.
"Your will is my command. Until next time, great Father. I will always be waiting for your call."
The little orb flashed one last time before vanishing from Han Li's spiritual space.
His own spiritual body followed shortly after, returning to reality.
"Hah…"
Han Li exhaled deeply, his eyes slowly opening.
The return of the Plane's Awareness had brought new changes into his once peaceful life.
The good news? Becoming a god was as easy as eating or drinking.
The bad news? Once he became a god, he might face his most dangerous challenge yet.
Still, at least he had time to prepare.
Hmm… his "dutiful son" did give him a few ideas. There were possible solutions to this problem.
And worst case scenario? He could simply join them.
Han Li let out a bitter laugh.
He was only a Soul Elder, so why was he already thinking about divine level conflicts?
Other transmigrators at this stage were still playing house with Tang San.
Why did his story take such a sudden detour?
Han Li remained silent for a while before standing up.
Forget it. No need to dwell on distant matters. That was the endgame, and he already had a backup plan in place.
For now, the priority was to keep growing stronger. He couldn't rely on uncertain factors only his own strength.
He also needed to start building his team. Fighting alone wasn't his style. He preferred team battles. Even if his allies couldn't directly help him in the future, at least they wouldn't become his weakness.
And if worse came to worst, he would drag them into the Divine Realm with him.
That way, he'd have the leverage he needed.
Taking a few steps forward, Han Li opened the door and gazed at the sky.
"The Divine Realm's attention has lessened? Are they discussing what to do about me?"
"One day in the Divine Realm is one year on the continent. Hopefully, they take their time deciding."
"Shura… it's time for you to step up. Don't disappoint me."
