An Junxi closed the door to her room and stood in front of the wardrobe, lost in thought for a while before remembering to look for clothes. After rummaging through her drawers, she finally found a T-shirt and shorts, changed into them, and slowly walked out. Gu Yikun was sitting at the dining table waiting for her.
Gu Yikun reverted back to his serious demeanor and said, "Come over, I made some Xiao Chai Hu for you." She had gotten drenched in the rain earlier, and he was worried she might catch a cold the next day.
Gu Yikun's thoughtfulness warmed An Junxi's heart. She walked over, took the cup in her hands to warm them, and said, "Thank you, Mr. Gu."
Gu Yikun said, "From today on, call me by my name."
An Junxi looked up at him, hoping he would say more, like telling her he liked her.
But Gu Yikun didn't continue speaking.
An Junxi felt a bit disappointed. She mustered up the courage to ask, "Mr. Gu, about what I said on the phone earlier, what do you think?"
