Chapter 12 - Dear Diary

As they reached the familiar lecture hall, they saw the lecturer explaining to the other attendees what had happened to them and that it wasn't dangerous. However, Robert refused to believe that. Stray dimensions, instantaneous loops—it was not normal for him, and a sick feeling still stuck in his head.

After all the regular people and Hans left the classroom, Raven looked at Robert and said,

"The matter has been discussed with the Count. If you feel an anomaly in something, you should immediately come to the Austich Trading Company's counter and whisper this to the clerk there."

He took out a small crumpled paper from his left pocket and handed the note to Robert.

"Until then, please don't reveal the events to someone else. Otherwise, you will be persecuted."

Raven warned Robert about the consequences.

Raven took out his wand from his pocket and swished it above him, and he vanished in a small flame, leaving behind the same complex magic circle that Jing left.

With that, Robert looked at the clock hanging on the wall near the reception area and checked that the time was still 11 a.m., the same time they were all brought into another dimension.

After confirming the time from the clock, he left for his home. Walking through the cobbled streets, he looked at a building with a glass door, and on top it was written:

{Moretti Stationery}

He opened the door and stepped inside. The doorbell rang as it swung open. He looked around the interior—many shelves neatly arranged in rows, each holding different items. He saw the counter at the corner of the store.

He walked across the tiled floor, which was patterned in black and purple squares, slightly dusty. As he passed the shelves of glue and covers, he searched for a diary-like book. He selected the cheapest option, costing only two pennies and containing roughly 50 pages including the covers.

After he bought the book, he took it and started walking along the footpath, looking around. He was wondering what he should do now, but his mind wasn't working straight after the incident in the stray dimension.

As he reached his apartment and opened the door, walking a few steps into the hallway, he heard the same words from the upper floor again.

"Drop the usage of water, you thief!"

It was the voice of Owen, shouting at another poor tenant. As he reached his room, he looked at the gas lamp, which was flickering.

Oh… I left it open.

Robert realized this and turned it off. He sat at the table and started writing.

"Date: Twenty-second February, Fifth Decade

I am not going to fill this with unnecessary formalities. I'm going to write this straight.

I was transmigrated into this world on the date of the twentieth or twenty-first of February of this decade, according to this world's calendar.

However, I am starting to think about what I should do from now on…

The thing is, I have been transmigrated into this strange world in the body of another person I don't know. I haven't tried to explore this world much—things like what its shape is, or what the laws of physics are here, since the magic clearly doesn't obey the ones I learned on Earth.

So I'm sure those laws won't apply here. Now I'm thinking—if those laws aren't obeyed, then maybe the shape of this world is something else entirely. I'll try to research this on days when I'm free.

Apparently, even after several protective measures, I was still brought into a stray dimension while the others were in the dimension Raven intended. So I'm thinking that some superior force is interrupting my travel through dimensions and pulling me toward it.

And that woman… I think she might be that force, or the physical representation of it, trying to bring me to her. But if she's so powerful, why can't she bring me here directly? Why is she using other methods?

And the other woman who gave me the vision of the future of this city, Cosford—how can I trust her? What if she's also mixed in with that superior force, trying to distract me by showing false visions?

Yet I stand conflicted whether to trust her or not. Because suppose I manage to gather support somehow, and then the invaders don't show up—I'll be framed as mad. But if I do nothing and the invaders do show up, I won't be able to do anything, and I'll forever live in regret.

I think my future goals for now should be as follows:

1.Get John Topez on my side. He is influential.

2.I will seek the Austich Trading Company and discuss the problems with them, as they know paranormal activities are happening to me.

3.With the date with Angelina, I will ask about several topics.

Thnku"

He closed the diary and looked at the clock. He walked over to the bed, looked at the alarm clock, and set it to 3 p.m. He collapsed into bed, the exhaustion from the travels kicking in, as he closed his eyes and slept.

Hope I don't get those nightmares again.
