The battlefield stilled.
A single figure stood alone—
The soldiers of every nation instinctively backed away, forming a wide circle around him. Spears lowered. Swords trembled. No one dared move too close. The air itself seemed to shudder beneath his presence.
The unknown person slowly lifted his gaze and smiled.
Then—
WHOOSH.
With a flick of his hand, an invisible wave of force spread outward. A ripple of darkness washed through the soldiers standing closest.
Suddenly—
"AAAHHHHHH!!"
Cries of agony echoed across the field. Flesh withered. Skin shriveled. One by one, the soldiers collapsed, their bodies rapidly decaying into hollow skeletons. Streams of faint green life energy were drawn from their bones, swirling into the air before being sucked toward the unknown person's body.
He inhaled the energy deeply—savoring it—and then laughed.
"So feeble... humans are so feeble." His voice rumbled like distant thunder.
"I gave them power... yet they remain pathetic."
