Chapter 19 - The Calm Before the Eternal Storm

Location: Northern Territory, Mountain Village – Valley of Peace

---

The winds of the north whispered through the towering peaks, carrying the chill of ancient snow and the silence of forgotten places. High above the clouds, nestled between the mountains, lay a small, untouched village. It was known as the Valley of Peace, a place few dared to reach, and fewer still remembered.

At the edge of this quiet land, a single figure walked along the stone path — a man cloaked in black, with three swords at his side. His coat fluttered with the wind as if the mountains themselves bowed in quiet recognition.

Kai (internal monologue):

"It's been a long time since I came here... The place hasn't changed."

---

Kai passed through the village without a word. most were gone now, and those who remained lived in silence. As he climbed further up the slope, he reached a large clearing at the edge of the cliffside.

There, standing tall like a monument of memory, was a giant tree, its bark dark brown with age, its roots winding into the mountain itself. Beneath it was a small patch of earth — undisturbed, peaceful, sacred.

Kai knelt beside the tree.

Kai (softly):

"Hi, Alen… I'm here."

He placed his hand on the ground where he had buried the only man who ever believed in him.

Kai (quietly):

"I took your revenge… That's the only thing I could do for you."

---

[Suddenly — the wind stirs.]

The leaves above rustled gently. Then, without warning, a faint glow of silver light shimmered in front of Kai.

A soft voice echoed in the air.

Alen's Spirit:

"…Kai. You're still the same."

Kai looked up, eyes calm but alert.

Before him stood a translucent figure — the soul of Alen, smiling like he always did, the same old gentle grin that once walked beside fate without fear.

Alen (grinning):

"I told you before, didn't I? You'd change everything. And you did. Now... I think I can finally take a rest."

Kai (scoffing lightly):

"Why are you always talking about resting? You were never good at staying still."

Alen (smiling):

"Because rest is peace… and peace is rare in this world."

The spirit shimmered, slowly breaking apart into floating fragments — like petals carried by the wind.

Kai (softly):

"…Rest well, Alen."

The last trace of the soul vanished into the sky.

---

[Kai stands slowly.]

He turned away from the tree, facing the towering mountains ahead. His eyes narrowed.

Kai (coldly, determined):

"Now… I have to meet him."

He walked forward, leaving behind the Valley of Peace.

The grand gates of Lumiya Palace creaked open as two figures arrived under heavy escort. The sun shone over the royal banners fluttering in the wind — gold and crimson, marked with the crest of the Lionheart.

King Godfrey, aged but still radiating strength, walked side by side with General Edward Hawk, his most trusted blade.

They had just returned from inspecting the damaged outposts around Lumiya, the aftermath of the vampire siege.

Edward Hawk (stoic):

"The capital stands, but barely. The vampires weren't after conquest… They were testing something."

King Godfrey (grimly):

"I know. That's what worries me."

They entered the palace and made their way to the royal wing.

King Godfrey (to the guard):

"Where is Yuhi?"

A maid quickly stepped forward and bowed.

Maid:

"Your Majesty, Princess Yuhi is currently in the Royal Mage Tower… in Aries the Grand Mage's chamber."

---

– Royal Mage Tower

The tower was a place of old magic, filled with glowing runes and swirling arcane artifacts. Inside, standing near a crystal map of the kingdom, was Princess Yuhi — her armor partly removed, but her presence no less commanding.

Across from her stood Aries,

The doors opened.

King Godfrey (smiling):

"Hii, my little princess."

Yuhi turned immediately. Her expression lit up.

Yuhi (rushing forward):

"Father!"

She hugged him tightly, her face burying into the folds of his regal cloak. King Godfrey held her with a proud smile.

Yuhi (pulling back):

"Hello, Uncle Hawk."

Edward Hawk (nodding):

"You're glowing with strength, Yuhi. That battlefield aura still clings to you."

---

[After a short moment of warmth, Yuhi's tone sharpens.]

Yuhi (seriously):

Aries told me about lumiya current situation master can you,

"Tell me about the Red Moon Night."

The room fell silent for a second. Edward crossed his arms.

Edward Hawk:

"It wasn't natural. We found inform about Edric bloodworth the vampire king he will attack on lumiya on red moon night and Red moon night will come within three days."

Yuhi (focused):

"Then we don't have much time. They're preparing for war."

King Godfrey (quietly, with regret):

"I'm sorry, Yuhi. I know you just came back from battle… But I must ask you to ready yourself again."

Yuhi didn't flinch. She looked directly at her father.

Yuhi:

"I was already preparing."

Edward Hawk (chuckling):

"You don't need to worry, my King. This princess isn't like the others. She was born for battle."

Location: Palace of Edric Bloodworth – Crimson Throne Hall

---

Thunder cracked across the crimson sky as night began to fall.

The moon, already tinged in red, loomed larger than usual — bleeding its light across the land. The Red Moon Night had returned.

Inside the dark halls of the Bloodworth Palace, lit by black flames and towering crimson banners, the air was thick with bloodlust and ancient magic.

At the center of it all sat Edric Bloodworth, the Vampire Overlord, on a black-and-red throne carved from obsidian and dragon bones.

Beside him stood Liza, silent and deadly, her eyes glinting with anticipation.

Before them, the major vampire generals — each with centuries of blood on their hands — knelt in reverence.

Edric (rising slowly, arms outstretched):

"Tonight… our era begins."

His voice echoed like thunder, soaked in wrath and madness.

Edric:

"The moon has turned red again. Do you feel it? The pulse of ancient vengeance… the heartbeat of war!"

He began to pace down the steps of his throne, looking into the eyes of each general.

Edric (growling with fury):

"Tonight is the night of REVENGE. The night of BLOOD. The night of our FUTURE!"

Liza (softly, behind him):

"No more hiding. No more shadows."

Edric (raising his hand):

"We will burn their cities. Drown their lands in crimson. Let humanity see what TRUE power is!"

He laughed — a wild, monstrous laugh — like a storm crashing through the mountains. The castle itself seemed to shiver.

Across the black stone courtyard, an army of vampires stood in formation — armored, armed, and feral. Their eyes glowed red under the bleeding moonlight.

The ground trembled from the sheer force of their bloodlust.

Vampire Captain (shouting):

"FOR THE BLOODWORTH KING!"

Thousands:

"FOR BLOOD!!"
