Chapter 105 - Chapter 106: The Arrival of the “Smurf”

Chapter 106: The Arrival of the "Smurf"

"Haotian Nine Absolutes: Break!"

With a surge of power, Tang Hao propelled himself directly toward Ah Yin, who was hovering helplessly in the air.

"Here I come, beauty!" Tang Hao thought, his mind darkened with twisted intent. In the Slaughter City, he had often vented his relentless killing intent on women. Had diseases like STDs existed in this world, he'd likely have been long afflicted.

As Tang Hao closed in, the thrill of capturing and tormenting Ah Yin coursed through him, his smile turning even more sinister.

Ah Yin wished to retaliate, but her soul power had been scattered by the sheer force of Tang Hao's last attack, leaving her unable to gather energy in the brief seconds left.

As the distance between them shrank, Head Instructor Lu Feng, observing from below, became frantic. He reflexively summoned earth elements in an attempt to strike Tang Hao down.

"Stay out of this! Eighth Soul Skill: Thunder Wrath Destruction!"

Tang Xiao, abandoning all notions of honor, smashed Lu Feng with his hammer.

"Puh!" The unexpected blow shattered Lu Feng's Martial Soul True Body, and he flew backward hundreds of meters, crashing to the ground with blood gushing from his mouth.

Though severely injured, Lu Feng barely managed to stay conscious thanks to his high level of cultivation and strong physique. However, he could no longer move, as multiple bones in his limbs had been fractured.

"Ha ha…" Tang Xiao panted heavily. He hadn't expected an academy for advanced soul masters to harbor so many formidable fighters; he and his brother had nearly fallen into a trap.

With three Soul Saints now incapacitated and Ah Yin, a control type soul master, within Tang Hao's reach, victory seemed certain

BOOM!

Just as Tang Xiao felt assured of their triumph, a sudden explosion drew his attention. Looking up, he saw Tang Hao embedded in the ground, creating a large crater in the shape of an "X."

"Who's there?!"

A wave of immense soul power swept over Tang Xiao, filling him with dread. Tang Hao's "target," Ah Yin, was now cradled in the arms of a mysterious figure in black robes.

"Who is this? Is this really just an advanced academy? With fighters like these, I'd believe it was an elite sect!" Tang Xiao thought, shaken.

Meanwhile, Tang Hao scrambled out of the dirt pit. Haotian Sect soul masters were known not only for their combat prowess but also for their remarkable resilience.

The newcomer was none other than Ye Wen. After completing the absorption of his first soul ring for his second martial soul, he had hurriedly tracked down Ah Yin. Given his superior speed, he had arrived shortly after Ah Yin and the Tang brothers began their skirmish.

To Ye Wen, two mere Soul Douluo, even if they were the famed Haotian Twin Stars armed with numerous Haotian Sect techniques, posed no threat. Even if every Title Douluo in the Haotian Sect showed up, Ye Wen was confident he could eliminate them all, as their physical attacks were completely ineffective against him. Within his domain, they would stand no chance.

However, Ye Wen knew that taking on the entire Haotian Sect could provoke an even greater threat Qian Daoliu, the high priest of the Spirit Hall. It wasn't that Ye Wen feared a 99th level peak Douluo, but Qian Daoliu and the divine examiners possessed a unique ability beyond that of ordinary soul masters: divine power. This mysterious force made Ye Wen wary of any direct confrontation with such individuals.

Recalling Qian Daoliu's history of eliminating anything that posed a threat to the Spirit Hall's dominance such as Dustblade Chen, the 98th level father of Sword Douluo Ye Wen surmised that if he displayed power capable of decimating the Haotian Sect, Qian Daoliu would likely seek to eliminate him as well. Given these considerations, Ye Wen decided to confront the Haotian Sect under a different guise.

In the nick of time, Ye Wen had assumed a different form and appeared, kicking Tang Hao away before he could lay a hand on Ah Yin.

Ah Yin recognized Ye Wen immediately, after all, over a year of marriage had made his presence unmistakable to her. Following Ye Wen's telepathic instructions, she remained silent, letting him carry out his plan.

"Who…? Why did you ambush me?" Tang Hao growled as he rose, furious at having been stopped just before he could seize Ah Yin.

Sensing the overwhelming aura around Ye Wen, Tang Hao quickly adopted a more respectful tone.

"Who am I? A mere junior like you doesn't deserve to know. Maybe if your grandfather, Tang Chen, were here…" Ye Wen's deep, aged voice rang out, startling the two fearless brothers.

Ah Yin had recovered by this point, and Ye Wen set her gently onto a nearby air barrier. Playing along, she addressed him with a respectful bow.

"Senior, please help us uphold justice."

"Go down and tend to those injured boys. Leave these two to me," Ye Wen replied.

"I'd agreed to help that kid Ye Wen look after his academy, only to find these two troublemakers showing up just as I was enjoying a drink. I owe him for this. I'll make it clear to every faction in this land: Tianxing Academy isn't a place where any common fool can pick a fight."

As Ye Wen finished speaking, a terrifying wave of pressure engulfed the battlefield.

Black Black Black Black Black Black Red Red Red!!!

A soul ring combination of six black rings and three red rings, an unheard of configuration, materialized around Ye Wen, astounding everyone present.

Especially shocking were the three 100,000 year rings. The first was an ordinary 100,000 year ring, while the second and third rings each bore golden markings, far beyond the understanding of those watching.

"This… how is this possible? A ten thousand year soul ring for the first ring? It has to be fake," Tang Hao stammered in disbelief.

Ye Wen, floating regally above, sneered, "If your family's weaklings can't handle things, don't blame others. My soul ring combination may be unusual, but your old ghost has already started down this path, though he'll never escape that pit he's trapped in. So tell me, Haotian Sect, what makes you so arrogant? Do you really think only the Upper Three Sects have Title Douluo?"

With that, Ye Wen released an aura mimicking that of a 300,000 year soul ring a pressure equivalent to that of a 97th level Super Douluo.

Tang Xiao swallowed hard. Despite his curiosity about his grandfather's confinement, he forced himself to bow and apologize, struggling to maintain composure in the face of this powerful "stranger."
