God King Odin and Queen Frigg grew increasingly frightened as they read more, especially since Thor was still explaining that much of the information wasn't analyzed by himself, but by Nick Fury on his behalf.
Thor was merely recounting it now, but the revelations were astonishing.
"Oh my God!" Queen Frigg gasped as she watched the video showing Thor being killed by an arrow. Though it occurred in parallel universes and alternate timelines, it still filled her with dread.
She couldn't help but stare blankly at her husband. She felt responsible for letting her son fall into such danger, even if it was only a possibility—it terrified her.
"You mean he is a time traveler? From a universe beyond the fourth wall? And we are just characters written by scriptwriters in that universe?" asked God King Odin.
Their worries were entirely different.
"Yes, if what he complains about in his diary is true, then this might actually be the case. Though I don't want to admit it, it may be true!" Thor said.
God King Odin's expression darkened. If this was the truth, then he himself had become a joke. He thought it was his own will that guided Thor's training, but now he was told maybe his will never truly existed.
It was orchestrated by others—others who made him think and act as he did.
"But Nick Fury, who is from that Earth, said it might not necessarily mean our world is false. Maybe the existence of our world sent a signal, which was transmitted to the minds of those scriptwriters in their world, inspiring the idea to create us. So our world might not be exactly the same as the stories they wrote!" Thor explained.
"This is also reflected in Rowan's diary!" Thor added.
God King Odin quickly steadied himself. Whether their story was fictional or not, at least he believed his own experiences were real.
Not everyone could deny that.
"So what do you want us to do by telling us this and bringing him back?" God King Odin asked.
"It says here I am the lone star of Tiansha.
I inquired about it.
In the Chinese dialect, it means all my parents, siblings, lovers, and everyone related to me will die!" Thor's voice carried disappointment as he said, "I want to change this outcome, especially this one—Loki. Because of Loki's situation, Mother will die. I want to understand exactly what is going on! And your father…"
Thor paused for a moment, then continued, "The people on Earth used this method to get Rowan to reveal more information. I hope that through this method, Rowan can disclose more relevant details. I hope it works!"
"Son, don't be saddened by our deaths!" Queen Frigg said softly. "If death is my fate, then I will embrace it.
I was raised by a witch, so fate holds no secrets for me.
I only hope you live well.
If you are the protagonist of this story, then even if we're gone, you must live on. Don't forget—you are the king of Asgard. You will lead Asgard forward, with or without us!"
Queen Frigg was not shocked upon suddenly hearing her fate. Being raised by a witch, she had long been familiar with such destinies.
"No. I can't accept it!" Thor said fiercely. "According to Rowan's diary, there are many timelines. Everyone's different choices create different timelines. My choices will create other timelines. The fate of the stars—I don't want it, I refuse to accept it!"
Seeing their eldest son so fired up, Odin and Frigg exchanged glances and sighed in relief.
"I hope that through this diary's future revelations, I can prevent this tragedy in advance!" Thor said.
"You have grown so much!" Odin said, looking at his son.
He hadn't expected Thor to mature so quickly. Learning that his parents would die seemed to spur his growth beyond anyone's expectations.
"I still don't want my future to leave any legacy!" Thor added.
"It's one thing to be unaware, but if I know and don't try to stop it, I'll regret it for the rest of my life!"
"So, Father, Mother, please don't just accept your fate. Survive for me, okay?" Thor begged.
The God King couple exchanged looks, then nodded firmly.
"We will do everything we can to survive!"
A few days later, Rowan had read through all the magical tomes in the entire library. Most were analyses and theoretical materials on various magics, but many also covered practical applications.
After finishing, Rowan's understanding of the magic in the entire Marvel world improved greatly—he was no longer a novice.
Having studied iconic Kamar-Taj magic, spatial portals, mirror spaces, and more, he had already mastered much.
His learning had been deep and rapid—so fast that if the people of Kamar-Taj witnessed it, they might be terrified.
He absorbed knowledge at an almost astonishing rate, learning wherever he could.
"It's done!" Rowan said casually, pulling out his diary, ready to record.
In recent days, due to system demands, he had hurried through his reading and only jotted down brief notes.
Now, he wanted to properly record his first diary entry in Asgard.
Unknowingly, after writing so long, Rowan had developed a habit—not merely to satisfy the system, but to document his life.
[Asgard is truly a Divine Grade civilization in the magical realm. There are so many books here—it's amazing. This is just one of Asgard's magic libraries, and even so, I've learned so much.
Now, even if I encounter a powerful magical enemy, I won't be helpless!
The people of Asgard are very hospitable. Sadly, all of these good things will soon be destroyed!]
