Leonhardt quickly dropped the ginger tea on the sink inside the bathroom and rushed to Kaelith. He dragged him up by the shoulder, but Kaelith's body just lay limp there.
"No… no… no…" Leonhardt shook his head frantically as he shook Kael's body. He cupped his face and called out to him.
"Kael! Kael!" he repeated, tapping him harder in desperation to wake him up.
"Fuck… what should I do?!" His brain struggled to think beyond panic until it clicked. "Water."
He quickly laid Kaelith's body flat on the floor and pressed on his stomach, trying to force the water out. Then, positioning himself properly, he held Kaelith's nose and brought his lips close, performing CPR.
He kept tapping and shaking Kael, all the while continuing with CPR. As he pressed his lips to his again, hoping, pleading for a response, Kaelith suddenly sneezed. All the terror in Leonhardt's eyes melted away, and he quickly wrapped his arms around Kaelith, holding him tightly.
