Velmora approached with slow movement. In her hand, a circular arrangement of flowers—like a small crown—made from wildflowers with pale purple petals and bluish whites, still fresh as if just picked.
"Nathan…" she whispered, barely audible.
Nathan turned around and stood up. "Velmora," he said.
"This… is for you," Velmora continued with a slight smile, offering the flower ring.
Nathan accepted the flowers. His hand touched the soft petals, and his eyes narrowed a little. "This... looks like a crown," he murmured with a small smile.
Velmora nodded nervously. "Wear it on your head…?" her voice almost vanished.
Nathan looked at her for a moment—then, without saying much, he placed the flower crown on his head. It fit perfectly, light, and its scent was faint—like leaves after the first rain.
