Chapter 86 - He's going to kill us all (Annabelle)
"Thaddeus or whoever he is doesn't scare me, and if he wants a fight, he'll get one. But for now, I need to take care of your mother first. She mentioned that at the Vampire castle, Draven had a supplier of blood from donors who were paid for it. It's an arrangement with humans," he revealed, piquing my curiosity.
The human world has always seemed sacred to me, but I was unaware of such an arrangement. Were people so desperate for money that they would sell their blood?
"Wait, so it's like a trade?" I asked, intrigued. He smiled, though it seemed forced. "There are agencies involved, like hospitals, but it's a black-market operation selling to them. Some individuals do it solely for the money."
As difficult as it was to accept, my greatest fear was that he would end up fighting with Thaddeus. However, one of my questions was answered regarding how the vampires managed to survive without hunting for blood as they did before.
