Then Roonie muttered, "If I join, Kiyon might not survive one month."
Veyne just smiled and said nothing. It's not like Roonie would follow words anyway; he was happy to plant just the seed for now. He just had to wait and see if this seed would germinate or die.
Roonie asked, "Yeah, you were talking about the home arrangement, right? Do you have anything in mind?"
Before Veyne could answer, the car started beeping. Beep beep! [We are just a kilometer away from the destination.]
Veyne took a deep breath and checked the time on his phone. It was already 30 minutes past 9 p.m.
He looked at Roonie and said with a smile, "Just let me handle all the mess. You just enjoy the show."
Roonie raised his eyebrow but then waved his hand. "Don't worry, I'm just here for some enjoyment."
Veyne nodded and closed his eyes. He stopped thinking about the game and other stuff. Only the memories of the past flashed through his mind.
