In an inn in a certain part of the city, the Wraiths were busy preparing to step out. Similar to the City Lord, they were also searching for the mysterious Foundation Establishment realm cultivator that the whole city was looking for.
After being in this city for close to a year, this was the most concrete lead they had. Even though they were not sure whether it was their target. Still, it was the only target they had found to be able to pursue.
However, unlike the guards, they were able to infer some things from the recent happenings. The guards would usually find those 'traces' later in the afternoon, meaning they had to have been placed there earlier.
However, if it had been placed too early, it would have been discovered much earlier as well. So the time between when it was placed and when it was discovered wasn't too far from each other.
