The Fire Ferrets (Mako, Bolin, and Korra) were seen practicing in the pro bending arena's gym early in the morning. Winter and Tohra were seen also practicing their hand to hand nearby, while their friends practiced their bending.
The owner of the pro bending league they're involved in comes by to pay them their winnings for the last match. The teens stop their practice to collect their earnings.
" Ah, wait. There's the Entry Fee for the tournament." Butahka said taking a portion of the money.
He continued.
" There's the Avatar's equipment, Apartment Rent, Gym equipment...," He continued as now there was just a small handful of money left.
Bolin was hopeful until that too was snatched away leaving them with no money at all.
"And then there's Groceries as well.," Butahka said snatching the last of the money leaving them with no money at all.
Mako then slightly glares at Bolin, to which he shrugs.
"What? I'm a growing boy!," Bolin said rubbing his stomach.
"Oh there's one other small matter, the Fire Ferrets need to anti up 30,000 Yuans for the championship round pot.," Butahka said.
Bolin's eyes widened at this.
"30 thousand yuans?!," Bolin asked shocked.
Butahka then put a hand on Mako's shoulder.
"Sorry about that, kids. You have until the end of the week to come up with the dough. Otherwise you're out of the tournament.," Butahka said as he walked away.
Bolin then turned to Korra who came to join the two of them.
"You.. wouldn't happen to have a secret Avatar bank account overflowing with Gold, would you?," Bolin asked.
Korra emphasizes her point by pulling out empty pockets.
"Sorry, I got nothin'.," Korra said.
Winter and Tohra then came over as they heard commotion from their conversation just a minute ago.
"Hey guys, so why are you asking Korra for money Bolin?," Winter asked.
"We need a way to come up with thirty thousand Yuans for the pro bending tournament.," Mako said.
"I see...," Winter said.
Bolin then spoke up.
"Ooh! I got it! I've been teaching paboo, to do circus tricks recently. Now people would pay good money to see that.," Bolin suggested.
Mako sighed.
"Come on Bolin, let's be serious about this.," Mako said.
Bolin frowned.
"I was being serious..," Bolin said slightly depressed.
Korra looked to Winter and Tohra.
"You two wouldn't happen to be able to help, would you?," She asked.
Winter gave her a look as if to say "really?".
"Do we look like we just have wads of cash on us? 😑," Winter asked.
"😅 Ah.. Sorry I asked.," Korra said sweatdropping.
She continued.
"I've never needed money. I've always just had people taking care of me.," Korra said.
Mako picks up something as he starts walking away.
"At least you had something.," Mako said.
Winter raised an eyebrow at this.
"We've been orphans, just kinda on our own ever since we were little.," Bolin explained.
Korra's facial expression changed to one of sympathy as she heard this.
"It seems we're alike then, in that regard. Myself and Tohra over here never knew our parents very well. They were killed by a tyrant when we were small. Been on our own since.," Winter said.
"Oh.. sorry about that.," Bolin commented.
"🤷♂️eh.. I didn't effect me much, but Tohra took it pretty hard. He's had.. some.. well... anger issues when thinking about that person who killed our parents.," Winter said shrugging.
"I'll figure something out, I always do.," Mako said.
He walked away as Bolin and Korra continued to chat with the saiyan siblings.
Korra had taken a bit of an interest in Tohra ever since the other day. Bolin was rather interested in them too as he and the avatar decided to talk with them.
"So.. eh... Tohra, right?," Bolin asked.
Tohra looked to the earth bender and nodded. That was until winter lightly chopped at his head.
"Tohra, we've been over this. He won't understand you if all you do is nod. You need to speak up more.,"Winter said slightly irritated.
"Sorry sis, I will try.," he said.
"Wait.., did he just say that other chick was his sister?," Bolin thought.
Tohra then spoke up to answer Bolin's earlier question.
"Yes, I'm Tohra.,"Tohra said.
"Oh, Right! You wouldn't mind helping us out, would you?," He asked.
Tohra smiled at the other teen. He liked talking to Bolin, he was nice.
"No, I wouldn't mind.," Tohra said.
"Great! Then just meet me and Paboo in town then tomorrow, ok?," Bolin said.
The dark saiyan teen nodded as Bolin walked away from them. Winter gave her brother a questioning look after his conversation with the earth bender.
"What was that about?," She asked.
"I'll explain later sis.," Tohra said.
"Well okay. Come on, we should get back. Master Tenzin and his family are probably expecting us and Korra back by now.," Winter said.
Korra then falls in beside them as they travel back towards air temple Island.

The next day...
Bolin is seen in the town square the next day as he is trying to raise money for their pro bending slot by having his pet ferret do circus tricks.
"Come one and all, people! As Paboo crosses the ladder of.. doom!," he said with a shock.
He then looks to paboo who's busy cleaning himself. The ferret gets the message and performs the trick. As he he's nearing the end, Bolin whispers to him.
"Stick the landing, buddy.," Bolin said.
The ferret the jumps off the end end flips before landing on his feet.
"Thank you, thank you folks! You are too kind.," Bolin said.
A person walking by tosses some money into the cup Bolin has. The teen picks it up as he is still talking.
"You can just put any more money you have here in this cup, to see Paboo perform another trick.," He said aloud as people continue walking by.
"Alright, 1 Yuan down.. 29,999 to go.," Bolin said to himself.
Just as he was staring into the cup with a single yuan inside of it and had set it down, a hot rod pulled up beside the curb he was at. It was revealed to be a young man with darkened skin and brown hair with mostly a mixture of water tribe blue and earth Kingdom greens for his clothes.
"Hey Bolin, what are you doing here?," The man asked.
Bolin looked up and saw who it was, becoming a little nervous.
"Oh hey there, shady shin...," Bolin awkwardly greeted him.
"So.. I hear you're a big time pro bending player now, huh?," Shin asked.
Bolin rubbed the back of his head a little embarrassed.
"Oh, well.. ya know.," Bolin replied rubbing his head.
"Lightning Bolt Zolt is looking to hire some extra muscle if you're interested.," Shin offered.
Bolin became a little apprehensive at the offer, Mako had warned him about the triple threats.
"I.. don't know Shin. Mako warned me to stay away from the triple threats.," Bolin said.
Shin waved the response off.
"Ah, your brother ain't the boss of you. You can do what you want.," He said before tossing a wad of cash into Bolin's cup for donations.
This surprised Bolin as his eyes became big due to the amount of cash he might receive from this job.
"Huh?! Wha?!," Bolin said as he saw the money.
Shin smirked at this, seeing Bolin's reaction.
"So, you game?," He asked.

The scene transitions to Mako working at a factory using his fire bending to create lightning for a machine before briefly taking his mask off to breathe.
It then transitions again to the brothers apartment after Mako gets home as he calls out for Bolin.
"Bolin, I'm home. I picked up your favorite dumplings.," The fire bender said.
He then began to eat a couple as he talked.
"I found some work at the power plant, it makes good money. Bo?," Mako said in question receiving no answer.
"You here bro?," He asked. Still receiving no answer.
He then looks out of the window and spies air temple Island, where he knows the Avatar is staying. He smirks.
"I bet the little lovebird is making a housecall.," Mako said.
He decided to go check in and see if his brother was there.

Air Temple Island...
Tohra helps Jinora and Ikki spin the air bending gates with a gust of wind as the Avatar is seen practicing moving through them without being hit. She effortlessly does so and comes through the other side unscathed. Winter high fives her.
"Great job, Korra!," Jinora said.
"I'd say your starting to get the hang of air bending teachings now.," Winter said before noticing Tohra look towards the distance.
"What is it, Tohra?," Winter asked.
"Someone's coming. I think it's your friend, Korra.," Tohra said.
"My friend?," Korra asked confused until she saw who it was.
Winter smirked as she recognized the visitor.
"Ooh! He's kinda cute! Is he the cool firebender that drives you crazy?," Ikki asked.
"Does he drive you crazy in a good way or... does drive you crazy as in you like him?," ikki asked again.
"What? No he-," She started but cut herself off as Mako approached her.
"Oh, Mako! I'm surprised to see you here.," Korra said as she cleared her throat.
Jinora and Ikki could be seen silently giggling in the background as Korra and Mako talked.
"Have you seen Bolin? I don't know where he is.," Mako asked.
Korra's expression softened as she heard the concern in Mako's voice.
"No, I haven't seen him since practice this morning.," Korra replied.
"Alright, thanks. I'll go find him.," Mako said.
"I can help you look for him.," Korra offered.
"Nah, don't worry about it. I'll find him. It's just.... Bolin has knack for getting himself into stupid situations.," Mako said.
Winter smirked at this.
"Hey, cool guy you can cut the macho act. We'll help you find him. Myself and Tohra can search from the air if you want.," Winter said.
"Good thinking. We can take Naga too.," Korra said.
Mako raised an eyebrow at this.
"Who's Naga?," He asked.
Korra smirked as she explained to him who Naga was.
"My best friend, and also a great tracker.," Korra replied.
"Hey, Korra I'll come with you two. Tohra can search from the air.," Winter suggested.
The Avatar nodded as she thought that'd cover more ground.

Republic city.. later...
While Korra and Mako search from the ground, Tohra and Winter search from the air. The two saiyan siblings stretch out their senses to see if they can sense Bolin anywhere, sadly with no luck.
"Find anything, Tohra?," Winter asked.
Tohra shook his head negatively.
"No, I didn't pick up anything. What about on your end, sis?," Tohra replied.
Winter also shook her head negatively.
"Nothing over this way either, I'm afraid. Maybe he's further away then... I'll look over this way, you stay with Korra and Mako. I'll be back in a bit.," Winter said.
Tohra nodded as winter rocketed off in another direction. He knew she'd make sure to stay nearby though, in case they found out anything.
The dark saiyan teen then descended before softly landing with a "tok!"sound, signaling to the two other teens that he had landed behind them. Korra turned her head to look at the teen as she spoke.
"Any luck?," Korra asked.
Tohra shook his head.
"Unfortunately, no. My sister's looking into the area nearby to here though.," Tohra said.
"Oh.. that's too bad. Well since you're here, I guess you could help us search on the ground.," Korra said.
Tohra nodded.
"Of course. That is the idea.," Tohra said.
The saiyan turned towards Mako before he spoke up.
"Is.. there any place Bolin might be normally at this time of the day?," Tohra asked.
Mako nodded before beckoning the saiyan to follow them, and Korra's polar bear-dog, Naga. Tohra nodded and followed them closely.
Timeskip... nightfall
Later that evening, Korra, Mako, and Tohra all came to the city square. It was an area where Bolin usually hung out at.
"This is his usual hangout...," Mako said looking around for any sign of his brother.
Nearby there were kids playing as others went about their business.
"Have you seen my brother around at all?," Mako asked.
A kid came up to him and made conversation with the young man.
"Maybe... my memory is a little fuzzy. Maybe you could help me out.," The kid said holding his hand out.
Mako chuckled.
"You're good skoochy. You see him?," Mako said handing him some cash.
"Yeah, I saw him.," Skoochy said.
"When?," Mako asked.
" Bout noon. Looked he was doing some kind of monkey rat circus or something and then..," Skoochy said before holding his hand out again.
Mako forked over the money to keep him talking.
"Shady shin showed up and flashed some serious cash. The Triple Threats, The Agni Kais, The Red Monsoons... sounds as if they're all muscling up for something real big. That's all you're getting out of me!," Skoochy said as he ran off.
Korra raised an eyebrow at this.
"What's the matter, Mako?," Korra asked.
"Sounds like there's a turf war brewing and Bolin's caught right in the middle of it.," Mako said worried.
Tohra then scowled as he picked up on something. Korra seemed like she noticed this and turned to look at the other teen.
"What is it, big guy?," Korra asked.
"Bolin, not far. Very near. Big trouble.," Tohra said.
Winter, who was nearby walked up and rejoined them.
"You know where Bo is?," Mako asked.
"I wouldn't say Tohra exactly knows, he can feel Bolin's energy though.," Winter said walking up to them.
Korra turned and smiled at the female saiyan.
"Oh Winter, you're back!," Korra said.
"😏 what, you miss me already? I was hardly even gone for that long.," Winter said smirking.
Korra gave the teen a look before Winter spoke again.
"Relax, I'm only kidding. I'll help you two look for him.," Winter said.
She turned to Tohra.
"You think you could stick nearby, Tohra? I'm going to go with Korra and Mako to help them look for Bolin.," Winter asked.
The dark saiyan nodded.
"I'll stay nearby and check things out from the air.," Tohra said.
"Thanks, Tohra.," Winter said before gaining the attention of Korra and Mako.
"Come on, you two. Let's get moving.," Winter said.
Winter then ran ahead of them, while Korra and Mako followed with Naga.
"Where are we going, tough guy?," Winter asked.
Mako felt his eye twitch, but chose to simply answer her question.
"The hideout of the Triple Threats.," Mako said as the three teens made their way across a bridge, leading to the other side of town.
"The Triple Threat Triads? I beat up some of those yahoo's when I got into town.," Korra said.
They made their way towards the hideout mentioned as Naga spotted a ferret. This ferret was revealed to be pabu. Winter raised an eyebrow at this.
"No, Naga! Pabu is a friend, he's not a snack.," Korra said.
"Ok, that's odd though...," Winter said.
"What is?,"Korra asked curious.
"Pabu being here, on his own. As far as I've observed, Pabu is always with Bolin. He's never on his own. Something is definitely wrong.," Winter said.
The female saiyan turned to the teens.
"I'll see if I can get a view from the air real quick. So... don't go anywhere.," Winter said.
The saiyan elevated into the air. Once she was airborne, winter spread out her senses to see if she picked up anything. She felt a small tingle in her senses, alerting her to a faint ki signature. That was most likely Bolin. But why was his energy fading so quickly? Unless...
He was moving away from them somehow. But that was odd, why would his energy level be moving away from them so rapidly?
Mako looked skyward towards the female saiyan with a questioning look.
"Um... What's she doing up there?," Mako asked.
Korra just smirked.
"She's seeing if she can feel Bolin nearby.," Korra said.
"Feel him?," Mako asked puzzled.
"How's she supposed to do that?," Mako asked.
"Not sure how she does it, but Winter somehow is able to sense a person's energy...even when their far away.,"Korra explained.
"Ok.... second question then. How's she doing.. THAT?," Mako asked.
"Oh, that. Well... Winter and her brother, Tohra, are both capable of flight apparently. Though... I have no clue how they can do that.," Korra admitted shrugging.
Mako was silent as he was still trying to wrack his brain on how that was even possible. He ultimately decided that it wasn't worth worrying about right now.
Winter then descended before looking at both teens.
"Find anything?,"Korra asked curious.
Winter nodded.
"Good news is, Bolin's pretty close to where we're at.,"Winter said.
"And the bad news?,"Mako asked.
"Bad news is... he's moving away from us for some odd reason..or he's about to anyways if we don't hurry.," Winter replied.
"We should get moving then.,"Mako suggested.
" Agreed. Let's go you two.," Winter said as she started running ahead.
Korra and Mako then followed on Naga as they made their way through the city.
Timeskip- A little while later...
The trio of teens arrived at the hideout of the triple threat triads, only to be greeted by eerie silence. That wasn't normal.
"This isn't right.," Mako said concerned.
"What's wrong?,"Korra asked.
Mako began checking around for any guards.
"They usually have at least a couple of thugs posted just outside here. This is weird..," Mako said concerned.
The teens made their way towards the door, as Mako signaled to be as quiet as possible. This didn't stop Korra though as she just walked up to the door and kicked it down. Mako sighed as he and Winter followed the avatar into the room.
Winter put a hand on korra's shoulder, as the girl raised an eyebrow.
"What's wrong with Mako?,"She asked.
"You need to be a little more discreet, Korra. But... we can talk about that another time.," Winter said sighing.
Korra nodded and just followed the saiyan into the hideout. The teens looked for several minutes, but couldn't find anyone. It looked as if the place had been trashed.
While the avatar and the young fire bender looked, winter heard a noise come from the back. Asshe investigated, she saw Bolin and some other benders tied up and gagged in the back of an armored truck that was pulling away.
"Korra! Mako! They're getting away with Bolin!," Winter alerted them.
The teens rushed to the back and saw the armored truck with other men on motorcycles speeding away with Bolin.
"Naga, come!," Korra shouted.
The Polar bear dog came at her owner's call as Korra and Mako gave chase with Winter following from the air. Mako threw a few streams of fire, which were dodged by the men on bikes. Korra then brought her hands up and earthbended to knock the mystery men off balance.
This did not have the desired effect however, as they were able to still stay on their feet. One of the men stopped his bike and threw a lasso to trip of Naga, sending Korra and Mako flying before tumbling on the ground.
A group of men flipped over to them as the the two benders engaged in a fight with these men. They didn't fare particularly well against them, as they were left stunned and on the ground after a few quick jabs from the chi blockers. It seemed like they'd be captured too, if it wasn't for winter slamming down in front of them. Her landing cracked the ground.
She put up a martial arts stance before disappearing. The thugs looked around before being sent airborne by Winter delivering a lightning fast combo of punches, knees, and kicks. They would've approached this newcomer if not for the glare she gave them and the enormous amount of ki radiating off of her. Naga and Pabu jumped and scared off the thugs as they escaped.
The white aura surrounding Winter disappeared as she offered Mako a hand.
"Need a hand, Mako?,"Winter asked.
"Uh, thanks.," He said still in shock.
"Don't mention it. Now, if you can wipe that silly look of surprise off your face we can start looking for Bolin.," Winter said smirking.
Mako felt his eyebrow twitch again at the insult. This girl was a little... annoying. He didn't really like the way she felt the need to insult him to his face for some reason, but he let it slide because of how big of a help Winter was. Mako wasn't stupid enough to deny that she was very strong. She was probably stronger than anyone he knew, he was just reminded of how much power Winter really had watching her easily fight off the chi blockers just now.
Korra got up and tried to bend, but soon found that she couldn't. Mako could tell the avatar was frustrated about this.
"I can't bend!," Korra said in surprise.
She tried bending once more to no avail.
"I still can't bend!," Korra said slightly panicked.
" Calm down, it'll wear off eventually.," Mako said.
Korra looked towards him.
"Mako, who were those guys?," Korra asked.
"Those were chi blockers. They're Amon's henchmen.," Mako replied.
"Amon?," Korra asked.
"He's the leader of an anti bending group called the equalists... (sighs in frustration as he palms his face) I can't believe Bolin got himself into something like this!," Mako said frustrated.
"We'll find your brother, Mako. Don't you worry.," Winter said comforting him.
"Come on, let's keep looking for him!,"Korra said.
The teens nod as the trio begins searching. They search all through the night, to find nothing.
"We've been looking all night to find him and still nothing.,"Korra said.
After a few minutes of thinking, Korra has an idea as she leads Naga towards her desired location. They head to the park where Korra stayed when she first arrived in Republic City. Naga was allowed to rest as she and Pabu both began drinking from the water fountain.
"So what's this idea, Korra?," Winter asked.
Tohra, who had caught up to the group only moments ago, nodded also curious.
"When I first came here I ran into an equalist supporter right over there. I'm betting that he knows where Bolin is.," Korra said.
"How do you know that for sure though?,"Winter asked.
"I don't.... but, it's the only lead we have.," Korra replied.
Winter nodded and decided to trust Korra. The saiyan then looked at Mako, before speaking up and gaining his attention.
" So Mako, perhaps you could indulge me on something... It's something I've been wondering about for a little bit.," Winter said.
She nodded towards Korra who asked the question that was on both of their minds.
"Why is Bolin running around with the Triple Threats?," Korra asked.
"Oh well we used to do some work for them back in the day and..," Mako answered before Korra cut him off in surprise.
"What?! You're a criminal?," Korra asked surprised.
"No, I just ran numbers from them and stuff! I had to work and do what I had to do to protect my little brother!," Mako said.
"I'm sorry Mako, I didn't mean anything by that.," Korra replied.
"Nah, it's fine. You didn't know.,"Mako said waving it off.
"Mako, can you tell me what happened to your parents?," Korra asked concerned.
Mako sighed.
"They were mugged. A fire bender cut them down right in front of me, I was 8.," Mako said.
Both Korra and Winter put a hand on his shoulder to comfort him.
"Bolin's the only family I have left. If anything happened to him I..," Mako trailed off.
"Mako, don't worry. We're going to find your brother, that I can promise you.,"Winter said.
Timeskip: Morning
The scene shows Korra has fallen asleep on Tohra's shoulder. Winter and Mako were awake already and waiting for Korra to wake from her sleep. She woke up to the sound of protesting as she slowly opened up her eyes. She jumped back when she saw how close she was to Tohra.
"Gah! Ah.. ah.. T-Tohra! My bad I uh...," She stammered before noticing he was looking ahead.
"There's someone protesting benders over there. And they're very loud.," Tohra said.
Korra followed his line of sight before recognizing the man on the small podium. She turned to the others.
"That's the guy.," She said.
"Amon calls you to action, take back your city!," The man said.
He kept protesting until he saw Korra.
"You do not frighten me, Avatar!," He said before she smacked away his megaphone breaking it.
"Listen up, my friend got kidnapped by some chi blockers last night. Where'd they take him?,"Korra asked scowling.
"I have no idea what you're talking about.," The protestor said.
"Oh, I think you do know.," Korra said before stomping on the ground and earthbending the table with flyers into the air.
This caused the flyers to go everywhere as the man began gathering them. One was picked up by Mako as he read it.
"Come experience the Revelation tonight at 9:00..," Mako read aloud.
He turned to the protestor.
"What is this Revelation?," Mako asked.
"Like I'd ever tell you!," He said.
Tohra walked up to him and violently grabbed the man by his shirt.
"I have no idea what happened to your friend, but if he's a bender... he's getting what's coming to him!," the man said.
Winter cracked her knuckles before glaring at the man.
Just then a police officer came into the scene.
"Hey! What's going on over there?," The police officer asked after blowing his whistle.
"The Avatar's oppressing us!," the man said.
Tohra glared at the man again before shoving him to the ground.
"Let's scram!," Korra said.
The four teens left as Mako picked up a few flyers upon their exit.
Later...
"Ugh I wish these equalist guys would put some kind of location on where their gathering is on these!," Korra complained.
"They probably didn't because they don't want just anyone walking into their event.," Mako reasoned.
"That's true... (she pauses) hang on, Mako, can I see those for a second?," Winter asked.
Mako nodded and handed them to her.
She flipped them over before coming to a realization. They did put a location on it... it was just hidden!
"Find something?," Mako asked.
"Yeah actually I did.," Winter replied.
She slid the flyers over to him.
"You seeing this? There's 4 different images here... almost like..,"Winter trailed off before Mako and Korra understood what she was getting at.
"Almost as if it's a puzzle?," Korra asked.
"To a map.," Mako realized.
He then put the pieces together and matched up the location on the map of the bus station they were at with that of where this event was happening.
"Bingo! That must be where it's going down.," Mako said.
"Korra.," Winter said.
"Yeah?," Korra asked.
"Since you're the avatar, you're going to draw a lot of attention. So here's what I was thinking to avoid that.,"Winter said before whispering into her ear.
She then turned to her brother.
"Tohra, we'll need you to be close by in case things go awry.," Winter told him.
"Understood, sister.,"Tohra replied.
"Keep an eye on things from the air.," Winter added.
Tohra nodded.
"I'll feel for your energy if things don't go as planned.," Tohra said.
Winter nodded in agreement.
The teens agreed as they now had a plan.
Evening..
Winter, Mako, and Korra all walked up to the venue where the Revelation was taking place. They all put on disguises so no anti bender personnel or supporters would recognize them.
"This is the place?," Winter asked.
"Yeah.," Mako replied.
"Alright, let's go.," Korra said.
As they walked up, Winter wrapped her arm around Mako's. This confused him.
"What are you doing?," He whispered.
"Sh! This will draw less attention. We're trying to look normal, remember?," Winter responded.
Korra followed in behind them as they walked up to the door.
"This is a private event. No one gets in without an invitation.," The larger man said.
Mako then pulled out a flyer for the Revelation and handed it to the the man.
"Do you mean... this?," Mako asked.
The man looked at the flyer before smiling and stepping aside.
"The Revelation is upon us my brother and sisters.," The man said as the trio walked through.
As they walked in they saw a large crowd of people gathered and waiting in front of a stage.
"I knew a lot of people hated benders, but I just didn't expect there to be so many in one place.," Mako said.
The lights came up on stage.
"Give it up for your hero... your savior... AMON!," A man's voice said.
This illicited a loud cheer from the crowd as a man with a dark hood and a white mask rose to the stage with his soldiers.
He walked to the front of the stage, taking the microphone and beginning his speech.
"My quest for equality began many years ago. When I was a boy we lived on a small farm, we weren't rich and none of us were benders. We struggled to make ends meet, no thanks to the firebender who extorted my father.," Amon began.
A/N: I know that isn't exactly word for word what he said lol give me some slack. Not trying to make a carbon copy of the show, I at least have to make it a little different 😆.
Amon continued with his story telling of the fate of his parents, which led to the reason he wears the mask that he has on.
"I'm sure many of you are aware that the Avatar has recently arrived in Republic City. (The crowd boos, causing Korra to slightly cover her face with the scarf she wore) If she were here, she would tell you that Bending brings balance to the world. However this is not the case. It has been the cause of every war and every conflict in recent history.," Amon said continuing.
Korra grit her teeth at this.
"The spirits have long been seen as guardians of our world and they say that the avatar has failed humanity. They have chosen me and granted me a power to usher in a new Era of balance. They have granted me the power to take a person's bending away... permanently.," Amon finished.
Korra widened her eyes, that was impossible.
"That's... impossible.," The dark skinned girl said in disbelief.
Amon continued.
"I know many of you have been wondering... what is the Revelation? You are about to get your answer. But first, a demonstration.," Amon said before a bender was pushed towards the front of the stage.
"Evryone please welcome Lightning Bolt Zolt, He's a firebender... and one of the most imfamous criminals in Republic city.," Amon said.
Booing was heard, prompting a response from the man.
"Ah, Boo yourself!," Zolt said.
"Now, in the interest of fairness... I will allow Zolt to fight for the privilege to keep his bending.," Amon said.
Zolt smirked.
"You're gonna regret doin' that pal!," Zolt said.
Zolt then began to firebend towards Amon, who dodged expertly. He even used Agni Kai, a lightning type of bending. However, that too was no use as Amon got behind Zolt. He held his arm up while pressing his thumb to the crook's forehead, causing the lightning to fizzle out and ultimately the Fire did as well. Afterwards, the now former fire bender fell to ground, weakened and confused as he tried bending only for nothing to come of it.
"What the? What in the world did you do to me?!," Zolt asked confused.
"Your fire bending is gone... for good.," Amon said as the crowd cheered. Other benders were brought out, including Bolin who had no idea how he ended up there.
The teens spotted Bolin as Korra went to make a move towards him. Winter held up her hand.
"Wait Korra, we mustn't be rash. There has to be some other way to cause an opening to grab Bolin.," Winter said.
Mako then pointed to the pipes in the room.
"You see those? Those have to be powered by steam, if you can create enough steam for them to break, that should give us the opening we need.," Mako said.
Korra nodded.
"Got it.," Korra replied.
"Korra, good luck.," Winter said.
The avatar quickly went to the back where the pipes powered by steam were. She twisted the wheel making steam come out of the pipes and start to fill the room.
"Not enough. Maybe....," Korra said as she then spotted a smaller handle.
The same thug who guarded the entrance to the event then saw her.
"Hey, what are you doing back here?," The thug asked.
"I just got lost looking for... the bathroom. Is there something the matter, my brother?," Korra said grinning.
This only caused the man to take out a wrench before swinging it towards Korra. He missed and hit some of the pipes, creating a hole in them.
Meanwhile, time was running out as the last bender before Bolin met the same fate as Zolt. Now it was Bolin's turn. He was pushed up there, and it showed that he was nervous. Amon faced him as he was legitimately scared internally.
"Uh.. hi mister Amon, sir.. I think there's been a huge misunderstanding.," Bolin said stalling.
"Come on, Korra. What's taking so long?," Mako wondered.
Winter looked at Mako before taking off her disguise.
"Winter, what are you doing?!," Mako asked.
"Buying time. Don't worry yourself, I'll be careful.," Winter said elevating to front of the stage.
She landed in front of Bolin as she glared at Amon.
"Huh... so you're Amon. You wouldn't mind trying to take my bending away would you? Care to take a crack at it? I'm not exactly what one would call a normal bender, I'm a bit... special you see.," Winter said shifting into a martial arts stance.
Back with Korra, she used the her bending to knock him out and create more steam.
"There, this should be enough.," Korra said as she began bending the steam and expanding it.
Seconds later the pipes exploded as steam poured into the room where people were gathered. Those gathered began to panic as they ran away. Winter smirked.
"Nice work, Avatar. I knew you could do it.," Winter said as she and Mako made quick work of the few guards on stage.
"Mako! Winter! I love you guys!," Bolin said as he was suddenly free.
"Bolin! Less talking, more running!," Winter said.
"She's right Bo. Let's get out of here!," Mako said as the trio of teens ran for it.
As they ran, Winter turned to Mako and spoke.
"I'll meet you two outside. Gotta contact Tohra!," Winter said.
Mako nodded as him and Bolin ran.
Outside...
The brothers made it out of the backdoor and were descending the ladder when an equalist thug used his electric weapons to shock the ladder.
Both of them fell to the ground temporarily. He leapt and narrowly missed electrocuting them a second time.
Bolin was the first to fight him as he hurled pieces of the street and the ground at the thug. The man dodged all of his attacks before electrocuting Bolin in the chest.
Mako tried his luck with Fire bending. Unfortunately, he fared no better.
"You benders need to understand.. there's no place for you in the world anymore.," The thug said.
He's then promptly slapped to a wall by a spike of the street hitting him. It revealed Korra, who came to help.
"I wouldn't count us out just yet.," Korra said.
More thugs and chi blockers surrounded them as Winter came back. This wasn't good, they were surrounded.
"TOHRA!!!!," Winter shouted calling for her brother.

Tohra then comes flying in from out of nowhere as he begins to backfist, kick, Clothes line, and toss away chi blockers surrounding them. He's encased in an Emerald green aura the entire time. He then grabs Mako and Bolin and rockets away from there, winter and Korra quickly following behind.
"Hey big guy. Boy am i- wahh!!!!!," Bolin said before he's grabbed as they rocketed off.
The impact blows away some thugs that would've chased them.
"Let them go. The Avatar is the perfect example to tell the city of my power.," Amon said.
Later...
Tohra, Winter, and Korra all arrive back on Air Temple Island safely after dropping off Mako and Bolin somewhere safe. Tenzin sees the trio and greets them.
"There you are. I was about to send a search party out to look for you. Are... you alright, Korra?," Tenzin asked.
Korra shook her head.
"Korra, where were you?," Tenzin asked.
"I was at an equalist Rally. I saw Amon.,"Korra said.
"Amon?," Tenzin asked worried.
"Tenzin, he can take people's bending away.," Korra told him.
Tenzin grew concerned, that was alarming.
"That's not possible.... Only the Avatar has ever possessed that ability.," Tenzin said.
Korra looked at him.
"But I saw him do it.," Korra said.
Tenzin softened his expression.
" I believe you. I don't know how Amon has achieved this power, but it seems this rebellion is more dangerous than ever. No bender is safe.," Tenzin said.
Korra felt a large hand on her shoulder, she recognized that it belonged to Tohra. Perhaps because she felt insecure at the moment, she took the hand and leaned against it.
"Don't worry Korra, we'll help you. Amon. Bad.," Tohra said.
She nuzzled up against Tohra's larger hand as she closed her eyes.
"Thanks, Tohra. I appreciate that.," She said as she shook slightly.
Winter put a hand on her back to comfort her as well.
"Don't you worry, Korra. Whatever it takes, we'll help you stop that lunatic.," Winter said.
One thing was for sure, it would become a bit more dangerous for benders going forward. The siyans would be determined to help her though, in whatever means necessary.

Hey guys! Sorry if it's been awhile since I updated this lol. If you're wondering how the story will change just stay tuned and find out. If you can't already tell who Mako's paired with there are some subtle hints in the chapter. As for the two time patrollers... they'll be in the story eventually. It may just be a little bit until I find a good spot to introduce them to the main cast of this story.
Obviously, because of who Mako will end up with, that will change the interaction between him and Asami. I have something a little different planned for her. She'll still have a prominent supportive role but her role will be a bit different since there are saiyans part of the main cast.
