Chapter 61 - Sephora

Sephora settled on the other empty seat inside the carriage to see the princess royal bringing her legs to herself on the seat opposite hers, her face buried in her lap in shame, shaking uncontrollably in tears.

Sephora pitied her. No one could understand her intentions and fears more than she did. Being too introverted had made her so good at reading people—even down to every step they took.

She understood the princess royal was so insecure and had been overwhelmed greatly by the drastic change in the pattern of her existence.

Someone who had been deprived of thirst all his life would see a spring in a desert as too good to be real at first encounter.

It wasn't her fault if she was yet to accept that a vampire king from another plane of existence was uncontrollably fond of her. If only the king could be patient enough to give her time to have a reason to believe that he was all hers like her mate gave her.
