--- Chapter 98 ---

Desolate Mountain, Dao Academy.

"Xiao Wu, we are here," said Han Yuan calmly.

The little rabbit in Han Yuan's arms gradually opened her exhausted eyes and looked down, seeing the majestic yet tall gate of Dao Academy with the beautiful land full of vitality behind it.

Her eyes widened slightly because this sight was many times better than Nouding City. She also felt the air was better and cleaner than outside.

Xiao Wu's eyes couldn't help but lit up, "What is this place?"

Han Yuan smiled and replied, "Dao Academy. Also, the place would stay for the next few years."

"Here, you will enroll as Special Admission Students and live like any other students, including the standard accommodations like uniforms, living space, and food."

"I will also grant you protection from hostile forces and teach you the way of human cultivation."

"The new way of cultivation..."

"However, don't forget that you're still my pet. You will be my test subject, so remember to be obedient."

"Do you understand?"

"Xiao Wu understood!" Xiao Wu replied with a solemn nod. Too bad, the serious face only makes her young face cuter instead.

Han Yuan rubbed Xiao Wu's head, "Don't be so nervous. I'm not a devil or something."

"Just live your life in the academy. I won't restrict your freedom as long as you follow the rules."

"Mm." Xiao Wu hummed, thinking Han Yuan was very generous.

What a kind human!

Dugu Bo watched this with a weird expression. This little rabbit is getting the stick and carrot treatment and doesn't realize it. Then, he shook his head because Han Yuan was terrifying when manipulating someone's heart.

Of course, not all manipulation is horrible. Sometimes, steering people from something they shouldn't know is good, too.

Ignorance is bliss.

It's better to live worry-free every day than knowing you could die every day waking up, right? This world wasn't for weak people, after all.

Dugu Bo chose not to dwell on this matter for too long. He believed Han Yuan would treat him nicely by sincerely following him. Well, it could be a manipulation of the heart as well. Nevertheless, Han Yuan had done more for the Dugu Family than they could ever repay. Not to mention, Han Yuan had entrusted Dugu Bo with the God Slayer Project, which further firmed their bond.

Above all else, beating Tang Hao up feels soooooo damn satisfying!

Dugu Bu knew he couldn't achieve this without Han Yuan's generosity.

"Young Master, I will be back and heal my wounds." Dugu Bo said to Han Yuan, excusing himself.

Han Yuan nodded, "Thank you for the good work, Senior."

"I will complete "That" as soon as possible."

"Hehe, I'm excited to hear that!" Dugu Bo chuckled before disappearing into the mountain range.

Xiao Wu's body became significantly relaxed when Dugu Bo left. Her eyes started darting all over Dao Academy curiously.

Han Yuan grabbed Xiao Wu's waist and said, "Let's go. I will introduce you to someone."

"But remember, don't ever, ever, ever learn bad habits from her."

"..." Xiao Wu tilted her head in confusion.

Han Yuan didn't bother explaining and moved into the academy, reaching the dean's house near his hut. He knocked on his door and said, "Erlong, wake up. I need your help!"

The rambling noises echoed in the house as Liu Erlong rushed to her front door and opened it with a sweaty appearance. Her red dress clung tightly to her body, framing her enticing body.

Han Yuan narrowed his eyes, "What were you doing in there?"

"N-Nothing. Um, it's just a regular exercise." Liu Erlong hurriedly replied with flushed cheeks.

"Hmm, I hope so..." Han Yuan obviously smelled something fishy here but decided to overlook it this time.

He pushed Xiao Wu forward and said, "Anyway, this is Xiao Wu, and you will take care of her from now on."

"Uh, I don't think I can nanny a child." Liu Erlong replied, hoping Han Yuan would change his mind. After all, the house is her sacred place, and she had done some unholy stuff in her room. An extra person living there would limit her from exploring things.

Han Yuan smiled, "Thankfully, Xiao Wu wasn't just a child. Don't you feel it? She's a 100,000-year-old transformed spirit beast."

"What?!" Liu Erlong exclaimed, her eyes widening as she finally sensed the aura of the spirit beast from Xiao Wu.

In this world, only individuals who had reached the Spirit Douluo Realm or higher could perceive the true identity of a transformed spirit beast. As a Spirit Douluo expert herself, Liu Erlong could see Xiao Wu through as a 100,000-year-old Soft Bone Rabbit.

Han Yuan pulled Xiao Wu back and waved his hand in front of Liu Erlong's face, "Hey, don't scare my pet like that. Also, treat Xiao Wu like any other human being as she has taken this path of no return."

"Hmph, I know!" Liu Erlong pouted. She stared at the adorable girl with fluffy rabbit hair, "Hello, Xiao Wu, my name is Liu Erlong."

"Don't worry, I'm the dean of this academy."

"From now on, anyone who wants to bully you must get past me first!"

"Including me?" Han Yuan asked jokingly.

Liu Erlong's expression morphed into an awkward look as she replied, "W-Well, beside Xiao Yuan..."

"..." Xiao Wu.

Alright, anyone but my lord.

Even then, Xiao Wu doesn't feel threatened by Liu Erlong. In fact, she felt this fiery-looking woman gave her a sense of comfort like her mom did.

The Soft Bone Rabbit sighed in her heart and bowed, "Please take care of me from now on, Dean."

Liu Erlong patted Xiao Wu's head and giggled, "What a good girl."

"Warm..." Xiao Wu enjoyed the head pats, though it was less enjoyable than Han Yuan's.

Han Yuan rolled his eyes because these two had a mother-and-daughter relationship in the original timeline, and it seemed they would act the same in this timeline, too.

"Anyway, Xiao Wu, be good and stay in Erlong's place for a few weeks. If you are uncomfortable, I can always give you a dorm room." Han Yuan said casually.

"Mm..." Xiao Wu replied softly.

"Hey, what do you mean by that!" Liu Erlong huffed unhappily.

Han Yuan rolled his eyes, "You said that you couldn't take care of kids earlier."

"Uh..." Liu Erlong would never think her words would bite her back on the ass.

"Well, it's night already. I gotta have some sleep first." Han Yuan yawned as he suddenly remembered something. "Oh, by the way, Xiao Wu. Take this pill, and it will conceal your spirit beast's aura."

"It's called Aura Suppression Pill."

"It lasted a few weeks until I developed techniques to prevent your spirit beast's aura from leaking."

Xiao Wu caught a round blue pill, and her eyes shone, "Thank you, my lord!"

"Well, then... Have a good rest, Xiao Wu." Han Yuan patted the little rabbit a few times and vanished, leaving Liu Erlong and Xiao Wu alone at the front door.

Liu Erlong gently took Xiao Wu's hand and said, "I know you have a lot to share. Why don't we go inside and talk over some hot chocolate?"

"Do you like sweets, Xiao Wu?"

"I am!" Xiao Wu replied excitedly.

"Fufu, then you're up to a surprise." Liu Erlong dragged the innocent little rabbit into her dragon's den. "I also have many stories about Xiao Yuan to talk about."

"A-About my lord?" Xiao Wu became curious.

The little rabbit doesn't know that she is about to get corrupted.

...

...

Han Yuan went to his hut and checked Ah Yin's condition before entering the hut. Thankfully, the Blue Silver Emperor has a tenacious vitality, and the vitality pill he gave helped accelerate her recovery.

Tomorrow. Han Yuan would plant her in the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.

"Xiao Yuan, you're back." A hug suddenly comes from the front.

Han Yuan felt softness hitting his face
