From his palm to his wrist, Mori's hand had turned into pure blue energy, he pointed his Katana at Alex with one eye gleaming with blue energy "Alright Alex, let's go!", he said with a cold look in his voice. Alex on the other hand was ready to charge towards Mori, a serious and cold look in his red eyes, his hair turned into pure red energy "Sure! I'll humor you." Alex blitzed himself all the way towards Mori at a very frightening speed, Mori seeing that Alex had already blasted himself towards him had immediately countered Alex's sharp claws with his katana, this singular clash caused a huge spark of energy to crack all over the place in a violent manner. Alex was rushing at Mori, with his fingers turned into red energy, while Mori was clashing with Alex's powerful strikes. They both stood in a place as they clashing violently, energy souring all over the place like lightning. It was as if Mori and Alex were going blow for blow, only that Mori was countring Alex's fast paced strikes with everything he had. Mori was finding it difficult to keep up, but he still remained focused. Alex proceeded to kick Mori into the air with a very violent force, this left Mori stunned while showing a face of difficulty "Tch! So much force with one kick!". Alex flew towards him in the air and threw a powerful punch at Mori. Mori swiftly blocked the punch, it was so strong that crackles of dark red energy started striking all over the place like rain. Alex and Mori started to dart all over the sky at speeds that exceeded that of light. While the fight kept on going like this with both forces clashing all over the place like lightning, kinto muttered "Well, they've started to take this fight to another level.", Sōn added "Yeah, and Alex seems to be taking this fight seriously.". Alex and Mori kept on clashing in the air, with each blast of energy decimating the ground and forests around the wastelands. Deo added "Atleast they aren't trying to cause too much damage.", Kazuki with his arms folded, added to Deo's comment "Yeah.". As the fight kept on going blow for blow all over the air, Mori flew back and started sending huge slashes of blue energy at Alex. These slashes were much more powerfull and bigger and sharper than the previous one's he had used before. Alex seeing this, started to fly all over the sky in order to dodge them, he was dodging all these slashes with insane skills, and fluent movements. As Alex kept dodging and fly, he was able to get close enough to Mori, Mori was stunned for a moment seeing how fast Alex appeared before him "He's even faster than I thought.", this was the thought that had crossed Mori's mind. Alex quickly created an "Ultimate Blade of Death", and attempted to strike Mori with it. Mori was able to swiftly block Alex's strike, but a huge slash of red energy flew out of Alex's powerfull strike even after Mori had blocked it with his sword. Mori was showing signs of difficulty while blocking Alex's attack "Fucking hell... Even while you're at your base, you're still going toe to toe with me while I'm giving this fight everything I have.", he thought to himself. Alex on the other hand seemed concentrated, a terrifying calm in his eyes. Both he and Mori started to clash blades all over the sky, they were showing amazing skills in clashing, blocking and dodging each of their strikes, but Alex had more force behind his powerfull sword strikes, this forced Mori to be on the defensive for most of the fight. Deo while watching the sword fight play out, had both hands folded "Looks like Alex is packing more force with his blows. It's almost as if he's trained with much more heavier weapons for him to be able to give out crazy sword strikes like that.". Kazuki turned his head to Deo, his arms were folded as well "You could tell?", Deo turned to Kazuki with a proud smirk "Offcourse I can. Once you're a master of using a wide variety of swords and other weapons, being able to understand the kind of powerful strikes a person is throwing around is not hard.", Kazuki replied "I see.", and turned his head upwards looking at the fight. Kinto on the other hand was carefully analysing every strike he saw "I can barely keep up because I'm at Base right now, but even I can tell that Alex is dominating that fight. It's funny because Mori is from a family who are masters at fighting with weapons.", Sōn replied "I know, right? Although I don't know why Mori decided it would be a good idea to fight Alex like this.". Kazuki replied Sōn "It's because he's pissed at himself.", all the boys turned to Kazuki "What do you mean?", Kinto asked. Kazuki continued to explain "Think of it. Right from when we first met Mori, he's always been a prideful person who believed his skills were superior to others, as long as he continued to grow them. Fast forward to about three to six years later, most of us have developed our own unique abilities despite being on the same rank. Not just that, but some of us have even forgotten some skills we once used before turning into power houses and gaining more abilities. The thing is, Mori is angry at himself for throwing away a few skills. He must have remembered that he had a couple of powerful abilities during his fight against one of those dragon kins. Mori isn't challenging Alex because of petty reasoning, he's doing it because he wants to remember every single thing he had dropped all for the sake of advancing.". Kinto paused for a moment ".... Solid point.". As Alex and Mori kept clashing blades violently, Mori sheeted his sword back and then blasted a slash of energy at Alex with one wave of his hand. Alex looked at the slash flying towards him almost a hundred times the speed of light. Alex quickly dodged the slash, he had a look of shock on his face, "This is bad.". Mori called to Alex's attention "Hey Alex. Remember this?", a huge amount of red and blue energy blasted out of his arms, they were forming blades of steaming hot energy. Alex had a grin on his face with a small scratch on his cheek "How could I ever forget?". Alex instantly remembered Mori using this same technique on him during the assassination exams "THE DEATH BLOCK TECHNIQUE!", Alex said with mild excitement, picturing himself as his 12/13 years old self standing against a younger Mori who just activated that technique back at the stadium. Alex at the time was showing a facial expression of shock and annoyance while Mori's cold eyes seemed to be concentrated. Now, Alex had a smirk of amusement on his face while looking at that attack, while Mori still had that look of concentration in his blue eyes. No smirk no curling lips. Just straight focus.
