'Are you ready to die, Dara?', Saphire demanded slowly swinging her sword before her. She gnashed her fangs. Dara gulped. He inhaled, his chest rising. And as he exhaled he let out a powerful war cry. His pulse eased down. His sweat became less. His skin hardened further and his determination shot to the heaven.
'Are you ready to die, Saphire?'
'Hahaha! Humans are truly funny! If you had more time and trained harder, I am sure you could have reached my level one day. Sadly, that day will never come!' And shot forth. Fast. And with the elegance of a queen. It was as if the wind itself carried her. Dara responded in kind, carving in the ground during his jump. He thrust one arm and Saphire swung her sword – Claaanng! The impact was strong and the resulting pressure swept away the tress and rent the earth. Sword and fist continued clashing. No one gave in. However after the 100th exchange Saphire managed to push Darah back. In addition the, the first cracks appeared on his skin.
Nonetheless, he went on, stirring up the ground beneath him. (Dara: I must keep her busy!)
'If you play like that you could make it!', Saphire commented. 'I mean keeping me busy! But is that truly what you desire? Is that truly how you want it to end? I am not prodding you towards foolish action! However, what do you crave right now? Answer!' A grin spread on Dara's face. He took the next swing head on, parried it with his head. And sure enough, his head started bleeding. His blood was giving off a light glow and in it there were diamonds.
'I want to defeat you!' And his fist shot forth. Fast and stronger than all the punches he had thrown up till now. Baaam! And the punch sent Saphire flying. Yet, she laughed:
'That's it!' Still in air she twisted and came to a halt, hovering there The tornados that had gathered around the two closed in, destroying everything in their path.
'The demon's power you took, Dara! He was an old friend of mine! I don't despise you for what you have done. You only tried to survive. However, if you are already facing me with his power, his body, then you should also face me with his mind and determination. The wind is my friend, the tornado my family. Here in the sky I reign and I shall judge you by the storms. Wrath of the tempest!' The many storms shot at Dara. In the process they formed to giant foxes and at the same time the wicked energy of Saphire merged with the storm, giving them a black color, the tip clad in violet energy.
'Damn!', was the only thing Dara could utter. However, he knew after that he would speak more for he would still be alive. He touched the ground. Closed his eyes. And concentrated. He dived deeper in his concentration. And his eyes opened, his head still gazing down. 'I see! He was truly a strong warrior!' He rose and as he did the ground underneath him turned to diamond and giant part of the ground rose up, surrounding Dara. Dara closed his fist and as he did the chunks crumbled, taking on the form of swords. 'My diamonds shall shatter the earth and break the sky!' The swords started glowing, even brighter. 'Gemstone Apocalypse!'
The sword shot at the foxes and the resulting impact was devastating. It even changed the landscape. And in all this chaos. Dara had lunged at Saphire, her eyes closed due to the strong light. Still her animal instincts were enough to act. She clad her sword in black wind and the sword itself started glowing violet. Then she used the wind to catapult her at Dara. As they came closer Dara formed a mighty fist, concentrating all his power on it.
Lastly the two clashed. Saphire had struck Dara first, severing his right shoulder. Dara spat blood. Yet, this didn't hinder him from launching his other fist. And with that fist he punched a hole in Saphire's stomach. It wasn't an immense one but still that wound was severe enough. Both were still alive and Dara would dare another attempt. But with her sword Saphire severed his other arm. Well, Dara had still his head he used to headbutt Saphire into the ground.
Dara landed with a strong baaamm. Standing, he grasped for air. His blood was forming a sea beneath him. Saphire rose to her legs. The wicked energy was on her wound, probably healing it.
'You did well!', she praised. And as Dara was about to close his eyes he perceived a sea of flames in the heaven. It burned the few clouds away and even the tress on the ground were not spared. (Saphire: That energy! Another celestial rank being!) Out of these flames a fire beam shot out and clashed into the ground, just some meters before Dara who surprisingly felt calm, good. Out of this fire beam Seraphina stepped out. And when she had done all fire extinguished. She gazed at Dara who was about to fall. She caught him and put him slowly down.
'You fought well, soldier! Rest now. I will take care of the rest!' She rose to her legs and turned to Saphire.
'What is an angel doing here and then even from your rank?'
'I am here to stop you and all the others!'
'I see! So you are part of the resistance! You must be under the orders of your princess! Did you happen to see our prince as well?'
'No. But I am sure when he arrives here he'll take care of everything!'
'Hahahah, that damn traitor? If he comes here, I will kill him myself!'
'For that you would have to be alive and I don't see a future where that would be the case. I am Seraphina, one of the ten dragon monarchs let's have a fair match!' Saphire's wound had mostly healed by now. (Saphire: The ten dragon monarchs! I see! I might die today!)
'I am Saphire, ten tailed demon fox. Let's have a fair fight!' The women were ready. And one thing was sure a destroyed ground would be the least of the problem when these two started fighting!
