"I am telling you, I have been following her around like some creepy stalker for a week now" Aurora was saying to Jav, her unexpected partner in their quest to unravel the mystery called Noic. "And I have had several close calls, that is a miracle if she doesn't suspect anything. Like a leech, I have been on to her, so trust me when I tell you that she is not planning anything, if she were, I will know"
"Or maybe she hasn't started her plan yet" Jav said, refusing to believe the grey alien is who she says she is. "Yes, that's it, she wants us to think she has no devious plans and let our guards down so that at a later time, she would kick start her mission just like that, none of you being the wiser. She can fool you all, gullible as you humans can be, but not me."
Then just to annoy Aurora, he added, "I am the superior being after all"
He was successful as Aurora rolled her eyes.
"Like I said, there is no point in following her about, I think we should lay off investigating her" Aurora said, "It's not so nice, you know"
"Phssssh!" Jav waved off her last statement, "Sometimes you sound almost as stupid as Brady boy, and I pegged you for the smart one. We are talking about the safety of our ship and the fate of our mission and you are talking about being nice. Who cares if it's nice or not?!"
On second thought, Aurora decided that if Noic was planning something against their ship, it would be better if they can find out now and it doesn't matter if their technique of finding out is nice or not.
"Alright, so what are we going to do now?" Aurora asked leaning forward over the lab table.
"Just leave it to me" Jav replied. "You go worry your pretty little head about something else while I work on our new friend and get result way faster than you. Give me two days" with a wave of his hand he dismissed her as he got back to work.
Aurora didn't like the way he dismissed her like some annoying little assistant, but didn't really say anything about it as someone else entered the lab. She just turned and left quietly.
Jav may have said for her to leave it to him, but he cannot remove her from this case just like that. No way. And who made him the boss anyway?
