Chapter 9 - [ XOLAN The Dawn of the Sun ]

Xolan, the youngest of King OSIRIS's sons, arrived this year like his brothers to prove himself worthy of his royal blood.

"The boy is good, I won't deny it… he's just like his father."

The Hecatoncheire slowly lowers her hand and glares at Xolan with anger, though her expression remains cold and unmoving. Suddenly, one of the three Suns pierces the night sky. How is it possible? How can a single prince summon the Sun just moments before its setting?

Xolan tenses his body. With a swift motion, he hurls a fireball at the Hecatoncheire. A tremendous explosion rips through the air, the creature blasted backward its arms, this time, do not regenerate.

Everyone freezes.

They all understand deep inside: if that small attack had hit anyone else, they would have been utterly obliterated.

Xolan assumes a strange stance. He lifts his chest toward the sky. A beam of light shoots down from the Sun and fills him with power. The Sun itself bows to the will of King OSIRIS's son.

"AAAAAAAH!"

The Hecatoncheire tries to flee, but Xolan, now overflowing with divine energy, throws his hammer along with all his might. The blow strikes true. The beast is shattered completely.

The entire arena trembles. The King watches with anticipation.

Through the smoke, through the thunderous noise and the rubble scattered across the ground, all eyes are on the center of the arena curious, terrified.

"What the Fuck… Boom boom… what just happened?"

"The Sun… it disappeared."

"Xolan, are you okay?"

The smoke clears. Xolan stands tall, one foot planted on the monster's crushed head.

"WE WON!"

Long ago, the seven kingdoms were divided based on the strength and origin of their royal bloodlines. But the kings were never truly equal. Each one had a unique and often immeasurable power.

The Justice Kingdom was always the one that birthed the strongest warriors. The Lightbearers, who shone their light upon that land, granted it the right to judge and protect all of Argus.

Yet beneath that kingdom, deep within the earth, lies the Golden Kingdom a realm of ancient secrets, hidden monsters, and warriors whose power borders on the divine.

The arena erupts in celebration. Cheers. Praise. Recognition. His fellow competitors lift Xolan high. The entire stadium rejoices, honoring his strength.

"Hmm… now that's a powerful opponent," Gustav mutters, eyeing Xolan. The prince meets his gaze his eyes blazing with intensity.

"Hah… that look. It's like he's been wanting to fight me this whole time," Gustav says, surprised.

"Come on, Gustav, do you really think you could beat the prince?" Lora asks.

"I'd be more than happy to show him what a godly battle looks like AND I WANT IT NOW!" shouts Samuel, lost in his own madness.

"NOW THEN! The next teams will continue in the arena later, after a short break. Thank you all for your understanding!"

"Hey! Someone bring me a glass of wine! OSIRIS, old king… what kind of power do you give your children… you truly have my respect more than any of the other kings."

"Father!"

"Oh, my little one… my beautiful jewel. Let me see this pretty girl I raised."

"Honestly, I don't know… with so many warriors, who will reach the top? Who knows… maybe some of the Mythical Warriors are hidden in the crowd, observing… looking for the next great fighter."

"What are the Mythical Warriors? That's the first time I've heard of them."

"Oh… uh, right… I never told you," he mutters, knowing that if he did, she'd dream of becoming one of them.

"Well, um…"

"Princess, allow me to explain," Tristian says with a calm voice."Each kingdom has a secret group. The strongest warriors whether criminals, vagrants, nobles, or even lost souls may join. But once they enter, they can never leave. Anyone who tries is executed by the High Order."

"The Mythical Warriors train in secret, deep within Argus. They are the ones who keep balance across the planet… and hunt down monsters."

"So beings like that really exist…" the princess thinks.
