Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: New World

3rd Person POV

Location: Unknown

"So, still not talking?" the agent in black sneered, yanking the bloodied prisoner's head up by the hair.

"I'm innocent... *cough* Please... I just want to see my family..." the man gasped.

"Bring him in," the agent said.

"You mean the new guy? Who took over for that rookie," his partner chuckled. "Honestly, this job's for monsters. He's doing the kid a favor."

A quiet voice cut through the room.

"You do realize the guy standing right there, right?"

Both agents froze and turned.

In the corner stood a man in a sharp blue suit, silent until now, who was also watching everything inside the room.

Young, but already feared, there was a rumor that he was trained from a young age to be the organization's top agent.

The agency's new Head Interrogator, Agent Y/N.

He stepped forward. No words. And that was enough to send chills down the spine of the two agents.

"So, your name is Dimitri Alexander," Y/N said, eyes locked on the bloodied prisoner. "Let me introduce myself. I'm Y/N. And so far, the only useful detail I've confirmed... is that you have a family."

The prisoner flinched but said nothing.

Y/N continued, voice calm but cutting, "Let's be specific—your wife, Sofiya Alexander, age 37. One daughter, Katerina, age 7. And a son, Ivan, age 9. Sound familiar?"

Dimitri's eyes widened. He stared at Y/N, fear rising in his chest as Y/N offered a cold, knowing smile.

"Bring them in."

The door swung open. Three figures with bags over their heads were dragged in and thrown to the floor.

"Now, here's how this works," Y/N said, raising a pistol and aiming it directly at the smallest figure, trembling and crying beneath the hood. "You either confess... or I start with the youngest."

"NO! STOP—PLEASE! I CONFESS!" Dimitri screamed, panic overtaking him. "I CONFESS TO EVERYTHING! JUST DON'T TOUCH THEM!"

Y/N didn't move or blink.

Confession secured.

"Good job," Y/N muttered coldly—then, in one swift motion, he fired three shots.

All three hoods dropped, blood dripping from each head.

"NOOO!!—"

Before Dimitri could even grieve, Y/N turned the gun on him and pulled the trigger. A shot to the neck.

Y/N looked at the stunned agents. "Report it like this—the prisoner confessed, then start acting up. In response, I neutralized him. After that, dispose of any remaining family or known associates of that family as well"

One of the agents finally spoke, shaken. "But... why the kids?... He confessed."

"Huh, hmm... they could've leaked something. So I neutralized them. All we needed was a confession to move forward—doesn't really matter if he was actually behind it," as he said that, Y/N pushed the two agents away as he walked away from the bloodied scene of the dead family.

Location: Star Palace

Suddenly, Feldway jolted awake, scratching his head. "What... the f*** was that?"

"Commander?" a familiar voice called out.

Feldway looked around and saw himself lying in a bed, with Obera standing beside him.

Taking in his surroundings, he let out a sigh of relief.

Feldway POV

Well, that was… rather strange.

"Commander? Are you okay?" Obera called out from a distance.

I glanced around, confused. "Why am I floating in a giant bath? And why is Dino in here with me?!"

"Uhh… what?" Dino mumbled, just waking up.

Obera, standing a bit away, replied, "Dino said the water looked comfy. As for you Commander—Lord Veldanava said it would help heal your wounds."

Well I do feel a bit refreshed, considering all the beating I went through, and why is my body feeling a bit pumped up.

I see… that's kinda of good news…

Wait!

Who is it?!?

Why does it sound so eerily similar to the voice I heard during every time I go unconscious..

But it's also different, it sounds more masculine..

How are you speaking now? More importantly—are you even on my side? You should be, considering your origin, as being part of me. So clarify.

[Data collected]

Following exposure to the magicule surge from Entity: Mad Titan Asura, core stability was at risk.

Leading to Ultimate Skill, Michael initiating containment, absorbing the foreign magicules and breaking internal network barriers.

Upon immersion in the liquefied Stardust, system formation was completed, leading to the ability for communication>

So what's you gonna bring on the table?

I don't want some useless voice stuck in my head forever, you know?

I see. In that case, I do have a question. Can you tell me more about the Time Stop the Titan used? I already know how to move within it, but it would be rather helpful to learn how to use it myself.

I see. I'll try it in the futur—

"Look who's awake! Feldway, for my sake, could you stop zoning out?"

I turned to see Veldanava lounging at the far end of the bath, grinning like a child who have something new to share.

I am both intrigued and scared at the same time.

"You look pretty good, you know. My body suits you—especially when you're butt naked."

Butt naked? Wait— I looked down.

Oh. Right. There's nothing there.

"Yeah, obviously," Veldanava said, waving a hand. "Still, put on something. Have some decency."

This guy… what's wrong with him?

Still, he had a point. I closed my eyes and materialized a crimson cloak over me.

"Damn it," I heard a quiet whisper. Obera. Far enough to pretend she wasn't watching.

What does she mean by it? Anyhow who cares.

I turned to Veldanava. "So? Why are you here?"

"Oh yeah… uh, this."

He casually tossed my sword, Ark. I caught it—but it felt… heavier.

"What happened to—"

"Questions later. You, Dino, and Obera—come with me."

A magic circle lit beneath us, and in a flash, we were gone.

I opened my eyes again—floating.

In space.

I turned slowly… and froze at the view ahead.

No… it couldn't be.

"Looks like it's gonna rain for a while," Veldanava said, watching the sky. "After your fight with the Titan, the world overheated a bit. This rain… it's nature trying to cool itself down."

Back in my era, this would later be called the Two Million Years of Rain.

"So beautiful…" Pico whispered, eyes wide with awe as she stared at the downpour from above.

"This… will lead to the birth of a new world," Veldanava said softly, his tone unusually calm, almost reverent.

I didn't want to break the moment… but—

I placed a hand on Veldanava's shoulder. He turned to me.

"Boss… I can't return to my fake form. Any idea why?"

"Not now, Feldway!!" he snapped, waving me off like an annoying bug. "Can't you see I'm having a moment here? Let me enjoy the birth of a new world without your constant questions! Waaa!!"

Yeah… still the Veldanava I know.
