"By the way, I want to talk to you about something," Kojou said, the awkward look on his face shifting to seriousness.
"..." Seeing Kojou's solemn expression, Asagi's face also turned grave.
"First, I want to ask you—do you want to become my Blood Servant?" Kojou asked. After what happened with Nagisa, he was worried about Asagi's safety. "But before you answer, I want you to hear what happened over the past two days and decide after thinking it through carefully."
"Alright..." Asagi nodded silently as she listened to Kojou's story. He told her everything that had happened with him and Nagisa.
First, he explained the Beast Vassal inside Nagisa—how it had entered her body, something he still didn't understand despite having regained all his memories.
After telling her about the Beast Vassal, he spoke about Diana, how he'd seen her about to be kidnapped by Beastmen, how he'd helped her, and why he'd allowed the Beastmen to escape without intervening before taking Diana to his home.
Next, he mentioned the Guild. Asagi already knew of its existence, but he told her about the Quests, how he'd trained in the Time Chamber for two years, and how he'd mastered mixed martial arts.
"..." Asagi listened silently, though her expression shifted from surprise to shock, disbelief, and a whirlwind of emotions as Kojou continued.
Then, Kojou explained how he'd gone out to buy juice, ice cream, and snacks for them to enjoy after dinner, leaving Nagisa and Diana alone.
He told her how, after he left, Diana had gone to bathe while Nagisa prepared dinner—only for Beastmen to break into their apartment, attempting to kidnap Diana and kill Nagisa.
"What?!..." Hearing how Nagisa had nearly died, Asagi couldn't help but shout in panic. "Kojou! Is Nagisa-chan okay?!"
"Calm down. Nagisa is perfectly fine," Kojou said, glancing at the people around them and bowing slightly. "Sorry for the disturbance."
Clearly, the other customers had been startled by Asagi's sudden outburst, and Kojou could only apologize for the noise.
"Thank goodness Nagisa-chan is safe..." Asagi sighed, her tense body finally relaxing upon learning Nagisa had survived. "So, what happened? How did Nagisa escape them?"
Though relieved, Asagi was curious—how had Nagisa survived when Kojou wasn't home and Diana was bathing? Even if she'd called for help, the Beastmen would've killed her before it arrived.
"It was because of the Beast Vassal inside her. When it sensed danger, it awakened and defeated the Beastmen who tried to kill Nagisa," Kojou said, setting down his cup of hot chocolate. "But as you know, a Beast Vassal drains its host's life force drastically. Because of that, Nagisa only had a few days left to live..."
"WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!..." Asagi screamed, cutting him off, her worry for Nagisa overwhelming.
Her shout drew the other customers' attention again—and this time, they were visibly annoyed.
"Calm down, Asagi. I already told you Nagisa is completely fine," Kojou said hurriedly, seeing Asagi was about to rush off to see Nagisa immediately.
"Excuse me, sir," a waitress approached at that moment. "Please lower your voices. You're disturbing the other guests."
"Right, we'll be more careful," Kojou nodded with an apologetic smile.
"Then, enjoy your time," the waitress bowed politely before leaving.
"Sorry, I lost my composure," Asagi apologized, having caused trouble for Kojou twice now on their first date.
"Don't worry about it," Kojou said, smiling slightly. "Let's get back to it. After my Beast Vassal dealt with the Beastmen, Diana noticed the commotion. When she found Nagisa unconscious, her life fading with every passing second, she called me."
"I was on West Island when Diana called, so I asked Natsuki-chan to help Nagisa. With her abilities, Natsuki-chan could temporarily stop Nagisa's life force from draining further," Kojou said, taking a sip of water—his throat dry from talking so much after the hot chocolate. "After my call, Natsuki-chan went to aid Nagisa while I rushed back at full speed. When I arrived, I made Nagisa...
Though Kojou didn't finish, Asagi was sharp enough to understand.
"You made Nagisa-chan your Blood Servant," she finished for him, sighing.
"That's right," Kojou nodded, not daring to look at Asagi's face. Her sigh made him think she was disappointed in him.
"I see... That's good to hear," Asagi said, her tone relaxed as her tense body finally unwound.
"Huh? That's it?..." Kojou blinked in confusion, clearly not expecting this reaction.
"Well, I already agreed to you having a harem," Asagi said calmly, smiling faintly. "And obviously, Nagisa-chan had some romantic feelings for you. Honestly, I'd been thinking of setting you two up. Even though I decided to share you, I'd rather it be with someone I know well than a stranger."
"Seriously?..." Kojou muttered in disbelief. He never expected his girlfriend to think like this. "But seriously, Nagisa and I are siblings!"
"Even if you're siblings, you're not blood-related anymore since you're from the Kaleid Bloodline," Asagi said dismissively. "Besides, you're the Fourth Primogenitor. Human laws don't bind you. So I don't think you need to worry—what matters is that you and Nagisa-chan are happy with your relationship."
(⓿_⓿) Kojou could only stare at Asagi in shock. This was not the reaction he'd expected—not even in his wildest dreams had he imagined things turning out like this.
