I needed to get her and the girl to safety, but when I'd got close enough to touch her, she'd growl, and her eyes would flicker between the glowing blood red and white. The only thing keeping her from abilities in check was the collar. That thin piece of metal was all that protected me from whatever she was capable of right now.
Wherever her mind was, it wasn't in a place that could recognize me.
