I woke up coughing and gasping for air.
I pulled myself off of the ground and looked around
"This land is malleable to become anew"
Kilgue continued the incantation
"We thought you died!"
Leon teared up
"How much time is left!" I said, pulling myself off of the ground
"Shit! I don't know!"
"Terra, Fatiscit.
The incantation continued on.
I dashed towards Kilgue, so fast it seemed as though I teleported.
This is only a portion of my awakening? Holy hell!
I shoved my fingers in Kilgue's mouth, stopping the incantation
He gagged and fell backwards
"I'm so badass!" I accidentally said aloud
"I mean- I'm way stronger now" I wiped the saliva off of my fingers
"You've gotten stronger.. Now I'm going all out!"
He grinned
"This isn't your full power..?" I was confused
"Yes!" He leaped up in the air and jumped around like a child
"Pride, The chimera bearing the letter of Z, grant me your blessing."
He stopped moving a focused
There was a short pause after he called upon "Pride"
Suddenly the wind picked up, the grass was waving frantically, My shirt was moving as though it were trying to escape off of my body.
The wind picked up and felt as though I were standing in a hurricane, and Kilgue was the eye of the storm. Trees were uprooted from the ground and structures fell apart. Suddenly the storm came to a halt and died immediately, leaving nothing in the air but a distasteful aura.
I wiped the debris from my eyes and what stood before me was no longer Kilgue, or that's what it looked like.
What stood before me looked like a poor imitation of an Orc from what I could only assume is a Chimeras standpoint.
He was 7 feet tall, bore dark green skin and had 2 tusks on its lower jaw. Things got weird at his unnecessarily large muscle mass. He had sharp scales that spanned from his fingers all the way up to his shoulders. He bore those same scales around his chest area. His entire jaw was encased in these same scales, essentially sealing his mouth, leaving only his two protruding tusks. His hair seemed to grow longer compared to the short buzzed look he once had, it spanned down to his eye level. His eyes turned red, and they had a distinct glow to them. Spikes grew from his back and wrapped around his body to cover his stomach and he had a large horn on his forehead.
Kilgue opened his mouth, breaking the scales as he did so. He took a deep breath.
The air became frigid as the sun became hidden from view. So much so I could see my own breath
"If you're bluffing I'll mangle you." He put his sharp claws up by his face and flexed them
I took a gulp, knowing I was too far in–so far in that return wasn't an option. My only option to escape was to defeat the Ogre standing in front of me in the 15 minute time frame using the power allotted to me.
I threw my daggers to the ground knowing that they weren't enough to pierce through his scales.
I assumed a fighting stance, preparing for the worst.
"I'm more serious than I'll ever be." I said, with a slight tremble in my voice.
Kilgue lunged towards me, attempting to impale me with his sharp claws and way faster than ever before. However due to my heightened senses I could track him perfectly.
I dropped to the ground, narrowly evading the attack.
He dug his feet into the ground, bringing his momentum to a grinding halt. He then grabbed me by my legs and tossed me into the air.
I used bursts of wind to stop my ascension, but that left me with yet another problem. My freefall.
Kilgue leaped up after me using the same Impaling-lunge attack he did before, and it connected, piercing me through my lower stomach.
Blood dripped through my mouth. However I used this opportunity to start a counter attack.
While his hand was still through my body I grabbed him by his horn and kneed him in his face. And this is what made me realize that I can win.
His nose began to bleed.
Surprise filled my face as I kneed him over, and over again. My knees developed sores from the scales on his jaws and his tusks however they healed fast.
Kilgue's eyes rolled back into his head and he removed his arm from my stomach. The wound healed up quickly after, however I could still feel that there was slight damage to the organ.
Distance began to build between Kilgue and I as we plummeted towards the earth.
Boom!
The entire island of Aeoland tipped as the two masses that were Otto Von Blaire and Kilgue Spaith crashed down.
Kilgue wasted no time and pulled himself out of the ground to attack me. I was slower as I decided to bury myself in the ground and tunnel out through a different area
When I exited my tunnel, Kilgue was already waiting for me, he jabbed at my head using his horn.
"Take this!" I heard Maelin's voice
A light flash of light came from behind me, blinding Kilgue. After the flash dissipated I turned to look at Maelin.
Leon was assisting Maeling to her feet, as she couldn't stand on her own, she was holding her wand high in the air before she collapsed back to the ground
I guess that took a lot out of her.
Using Kilgue's confusion to my advantage I decided to rush him. However as I got closer, he revealed that his confused state was merely a fake that he used to lure me closer.
His horn was raised in my direction, glowing red.
I put my arms up to block and a powerful beam engulfed my body, knocking me away. This powerful beam sent me off of the sky island entirely.
I was left confused, everything moved at once. My eyesight was blurry and I was spinning out of control.
I attempted to regain my balance and composure, and a dark figure could be seen leaping off of the sky island, chasing after me.
"I offer you the highest form of gratitude! Otto Von Blaire, for being a worthy opponent!" He laughed loudly as he hawked me down
"Bring it!" I shouted back
Kilgue caught up to me and latched onto my body, making me spin even more. He threw punches at my head and I attempted to fend them off
We were nearing the ground and I needed to get back up to the sky island, I won't survive this fall.
"What will you do!? Otto!"
He said as he rapidly barraged me with punches
I have little magic reserves left, and its flame magic, so I need to make the most of it.
I created an explosion from my body using flame magic, which was successful in getting the ogre off of me.
Now for my next problem, I need an extremely compact burst of flames from my feet and hands to send me high enough to get back up to the sky island.
I looked down, charging up mana in my feet before I felt a tug on my shoulders, like someone is grabbing them. At first I thought it was Kilgue but I looked up and to my surprise it was Maelin
"What are you doing down here!"
I shouted, putting my hands on my shoulders where hers was
"Saving you!"
"Hold on tight!"
"What!?" Is what I said before I was yanked back into the air, and my momentum was completely stopped.
We were suspended in the air
"Holy hell are we flying!?" I kicked my feet in the air.
"How are you doing that!?"
"Fairies can fly!" Maelin she said with strain in her voice as she started ascending upwards
Boom
Kilgue crashed into the ground, it wasn't long until he comes back up
Maelin and I successfully make it back to the sky island and we both drop to the ground.
Maelin's nose started bleeding
Kilgue came flying upwards by the edge and landed right behind me
"Clever trick, boy!" He grabbed my head and slammed it towards the ground before dragging it across as he ran.
When he finished I laid there, motionless.
"Otto.. Don't tell me you're finished." He whispered in my ear
Kilgue grabbed me by my hair and made me look up towards the city in the distance
"Don't tell me that flame is extinguished now. C'mon, kill me." He grabbed my hand and put it around his throat.
"I'll.. Kill you.." I weakly said under my breath
"What's that..? I couldn't hear you."
"I said.. I'LL KILL YOU, YOU COCKY BASTARD!"
I tightened my grip, attempting to tear out his throat.
But to no avail.
I didn't even make his scales crack or buckle.
I tried again
"What happened..? Powers are all gone!?" He grabbed me by my shirt and threw me towards the edge of the sky island
I landed just barely on the edge.
I squirmed on the edge, attempting to move.
Blood pooled in my mouth
"Someone's exhausted. Here, I'll put you to sleep." Kilgue put his foot on my chest and made a blade out of earth
"What are your last words, although no one will hear them or be alive to remember."
"Go to hell." I weakly said before lying backwards
Wait! What the hell am I saying! I want to live! I'll take it back!
"So be it. Farewell." He readied the blade to jab at my throat
Suddenly a large gust of wind whooshed past us going upwards, strong enough to uproot a tree. Along with the gust of wind followed loud laughter
