Somewhere in the first half of the Grand Line...
Inside an exquisitely elegant room, a woman of unparalleled beauty stood by the window.
"Chris... I miss you. I really miss you!"
A gentle breeze swept in, lifting the glossy black strands of Hancock's hair slightly. Her red dress fluttered faintly, enhancing her breathtaking beauty.
"What are you doing right now? Are you thinking of me, my love?"
"Should I call him now?"
"No, no... Chris must be training. I can't disturb him."
Her mesmerizing eyes gazed at the sparkling blue sea outside, lost in a daze as she muttered to herself.
If any other woman acted like this, she'd seem like a delusional fool.
But this was Boa Hancock—the most beautiful woman in the world. Even her lovestruck ramblings were enchanting, enough to make anyone's heart flutter.
Knock knock—
A voice came from outside the door.
"Sister Hancock! There's news about Lord Chris!"
"WHAT?!"
Shock.
Then—absolute delight.
Hancock spun around, her eyes gleaming like stars.
"Come in at once!"
The door creaked open as Marigold and Sandersonia hurried inside. They knew better than to keep their sister waiting when it came to news about Chris.
"Tell me—quickly!" Hancock demanded, her voice trembling with excitement.
Sandersonia stepped forward with a smile. "Sister, we just bought a newspaper... and there's news about Lord Chris!"
"Here, see for yourself."
She handed the paper over, knowing Hancock would want to read every detail herself.
Hancock snatched it up, her eyes instantly locking onto—
Chris's photo.
"Ah—!"
A gasp escaped her lips, her flawless face lighting up with joy.
"Chris is in the newspaper! Wonderful, absolutely wonderful!"
Marigold and Sandersonia nodded in agreement. "Yes, Lord Chris has made headlines. It's great news!"
They had long accepted Chris as their sister's beloved—practically their brother-in-law already.
But Hancock wasn't listening.
"So handsome... so incredibly handsome~"
Her fingers traced the image, studying every inch of Chris's face as if memorizing it.
"My beloved is perfect in every way... Ah, how I adore him~"
Marigold and Sandersonia exchanged glances, sighing in resignation.
Their sister wasn't even reading the article—just obsessively staring at the picture.
Hopeless.
Marigold cleared her throat. "Sister... don't you want to read the actual news about Lord Chris?"
Sandersonia added, "Yes, there's important information about his latest activities!"
That snapped Hancock out of her trance.
"Oh! Right!"
She finally focused on the text, absorbing every word with intense concentration.
Marigold and Sandersonia shared another look.
Hopelessly in love.
Their sister was brilliant, powerful, and regal—but the moment Chris was involved, she turned into a lovestruck maiden.
They had even consulted Elder Nyon about it, only to receive a cryptic response:
"In the East Blue, they say love is a tempest."
So they let Hancock be.
After a long silence, Hancock's eyes sparkled with admiration.
"So incredible..."
"Chris is truly the greatest—far surpassing even me!"
"My first bounty was only 80 million... but his is 100 million!"
Her voice filled with awe.
"I've never heard of such a high first bounty in the Four Seas!"
"Chris, you're one of a kind. No one can compare to you..."
"I love you... I adore you... I long to be in your arms~"
And just like that—she slipped back into dreamy fantasies, her cheeks flushing.
This time, Marigold and Sandersonia didn't interrupt.
Ahem.
Eventually, Hancock regained her composure, her expression turning serious.
"Marigold, Sandersonia—we must hurry."
"Chris's name now echoes across the seas. The whole world knows him!"
"I cannot fall behind. I must keep pace with him—stand by his side!"
She turned back to the window, her gaze firm.
"Amazon Lily's name must also shake the world!"
"I will not drag Chris down. Never!"
Marigold and Sandersonia nodded firmly.
"Understood, Sister! We'll set course for the New World at once!"
With that, they left.
Hancock, meanwhile, settled onto her throne, reopening the newspaper.
She would read it again.
And again.
Every word about Chris was precious—she wouldn't forget a single one.
"Black Coat Chris... What a dashing title~"
"And this angle... He looks so dashing..."
"Ah! What if Chris wore white? How breathtaking would that be?"
"One day... I'll wear a white wedding dress, and he'll wear a white suit..."
"Perfection."
And so, the room was once again filled with Hancock's lovestruck murmurs...
