On Saturday afternoon, Jacob didn't rush back to the Lin family residence. Instead, he went to the restricted training area to practice. There, he unexpectedly saw Nina also training, working seriously with her six Pokémon.

So that explained why Nina only attended classes in the morning—she came here to train in the afternoons. It seemed that Nina was just one step away from becoming an Elite Trainer. With her two Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, her promotion to Elite Trainer status was only a matter of time. Such a young Elite Trainer would be rare in the entire capital.

Nina's outfit was different from what she wore in the morning. She had on shorts that revealed her slender, toned legs, and a crop top that showed off her trim waist.

Jacob had always thought Nina's waist and legs were her most striking features. In this outfit, she immediately caught his attention.

Of course, this was also because Trainer Nina had a really good figure. The only drawback was her rather modest chest despite her age.

Perhaps because she noticed Jacob's gaze, Nina's face turned slightly red, though she maintained her cool expression. She didn't speak to Jacob and continued training her Pokémon independently.

Jacob, realizing he was staring, quickly collected himself and called out his three Pokémon to begin his own training session.

Two hours later, while Nina was taking a break, Jacob approached her and asked, "Miss Nina, are you free tomorrow?"

"Just say what you want," Nina unscrewed her bottle of water and took small sips. Sweat had dampened the hair on either side of her face and was sliding down her rosy cheeks.

"Miss Nina, I want to go to the capital city, but I recently offended Richard. I'm worried it might not be safe, so I wanted to ask if you could come with me. Are you available?"

Jacob's actual intention was to use a one-time treasure-hunting device to search for rare items in the capital, with Nina serving as his bodyguard. Of course, he couldn't directly say he was looking for treasures, so he made up an excuse about going shopping.

Nina wanted to refuse, but then she considered that Jacob had been in the capital for a month without having much free time to enjoy it. Seeing his expectant expression, she didn't have the heart to say no. "Just this once," she said coolly. "What time tomorrow?"

"I'll let you know. I'll call you in advance."

After his afternoon training, Jacob hurried back to the Lin family home and saw Scott and Jude again. Both elders were very happy to see him, especially Elder Scott, who talked with Jacob for a long time after dinner.

He asked about Jacob's exclusive Z-Moves and whether he had any new experimental theories. Scott was becoming increasingly impressed with Jacob. The grandfather and grandson talked for nearly two hours until Jacob reminded Scott that he should go to bed and rest early, bringing their conversation to an end.

Back in his room, Jacob quickly opened a package that had been delivered almost two weeks ago. He finally had time to check its contents.

After opening the package, two stones appeared on the table. One stone appeared to be Gengar's Mega Stone. Jacob examined it closely and felt confident in his identification—yes, this was definitely Gengar's Mega Stone. He was thrilled. Another Mega Stone! Now he just needed a Gengar.

Ideally, he'd find a Shiny Gengar. A Mega-Evolved white Gengar would look incredibly cool. Jacob was just daydreaming, though. He still needed two Dragon-type Pokémon to complete his primary mission. Even if he wanted to capture a Gengar, it would have to wait until he had collected all six required Pokémon.

Jacob then turned his attention to the second stone on the table. This stone resembled a Wishing Star, but unlike those depicted in games and anime, this Wishing Star was dim and ordinary, emitting none of the brilliant light seen in the games. Apart from its distinctive shape, there seemed to be nothing special about it.

Jacob played with the Wishing Star. Since he had found one, he decided to make Dynamax phenomena his next research focus. Although he had this intention, Jacob wasn't entirely confident.

In games and anime, Dynamax was connected to the Eternatus Pokémon, and this world had no records of Eternatus or Dynamax energy ever appearing. Therefore, Jacob wasn't confident about researching Dynamax capabilities.

Jacob was also curious about the origin of this Wishing Star. According to lore, Wishing Stars, Wishing Pieces, and Wishing Chips were all fragments of Eternatus's body. The origin of this particular Wishing Star was quite mysterious and might be the key to uncovering the secrets of Dynamax in this world and perhaps even finding Eternatus itself.

"Ding, mission triggered. [Dynamax]"

"Use the Wishing Star to find Eternatus's secret location and unlock the power of Dynamax. Eternatus is an extremely powerful Pokémon that requires a trainer of at least Elite level to have the ability to protect it. This is a long-term mission requiring completion of prerequisite tasks. Prerequisite 1: Collect 3 Wishing Stars. Prerequisite 2: At least one Pokémon must be at the Elite level."

When Jacob heard the mission prompt, he was momentarily stunned. This mission was far beyond his current capabilities. It would take him at least several years to become an Elite-level trainer. For now, all Jacob could do was collect as many Wishing Stars as possible.

Jacob put away the Wishing Star, planning to take it to the laboratory for study during his next visit. Ever since he had developed his own Z-Move, his status at the laboratory had risen rapidly. He now had his own independent office and could use the laboratory facilities at will—a truly great feeling.

After storing the two stones, Jacob wanted to lie down and browse his phone to relax for a while, but when he checked the time, it was already eight o'clock. If he didn't hurry, he would have no time for evening training.

After two hours of training, Jacob showered and lay on his bed, scrolling through TikTok. Some time ago, he had gained a bit of fame for developing the corresponding movements for Z-Moves. He had registered a TikTok account, and his followers had quickly grown to tens of thousands. Of course, most of these followers were fans of his appearance rather than his academic research. What serious researcher had time for social media anyway?

He had only posted one video on TikTok so far—his interview video—and it had received hundreds of thousands of likes.

Jacob thought about posting another video when he had time. Perhaps he could use his TikTok fame to help him purchase evolutionary stones more quickly. However, he was also concerned that stones bought using his celebrity status would definitely come at inflated prices.

Speaking of TikTok, Jacob recalled Asher's mischievous whispers from the other night. That evening, Asher had tearfully shared his mysterious account and password with him.

Should he take a peek? Just a quick look... In the end, Jacob's curiosity overcame his better judgment, and he secretly logged into Asher's account.

He had no followers and no posted content, but he had liked 7,300 videos. All of these were the accumulated interests of Asher. When Jacob opened the liked videos, a particular phrase came to mind.

"So many flowers they dazzle the eyes, and grass so deep the horse's hooves can't be seen." This account had been thoroughly cultivated—quite the achievement!

Jacob took a brief look and found that although Asher enjoyed viewing videos of attractive women, he didn't flirt or send private messages—he just silently liked their posts, which was relatively harmless.

Just pure appreciation—appreciation with scholarly integrity. Jacob quickly watched a few videos, quietly exited the account, and logged back into his own.

At eighteen years old, he was young and passionate. If he continued watching such content, it might corrupt his principles, which wouldn't be worth it.

After quitting TikTok, Jacob opened a secondhand marketplace app to see if there were any good stones for sale. The results were, unsurprisingly, somewhat disappointing.
