After a while, Xavier decided to go check on Elena as he could feel her fears and worries. He reached the door to her bedroom and as he tried to knock, she stepped out.
"Are you okay?" He asked, narrowing his eyes a little as he scanned her. His heart broke when he noticed her red eyes, proof that she'd been crying. He didn't want her to cry. He hated it. It stung.
"Yes, I'm okay. Did you need anything?"
"Not really. I came to check up on you."
"O-okay. I'm fine. Just tired."
"Elena I'm sorry," Xavier muttered, his eyes dropping. "I had made Killian mad and ruined the mood earlier."
Elena gave a weak smile. "It's not your fault. Killian was already angry before that as he didn't like the idea of giving you recognition." She chuckled bitterly before adding. "He sure hates sharing me with you."
Xavier let out a deep exhale as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Trust me, he'll come around."
Elena looked away, her eyes brimming with tears. "I-i don't think so."
