Without hesitation, a Rasenshuriken materialized in his hand.
Infused with Sage Chakra and Yang Release, the Rasenshuriken had been enhanced to an absurd degree, capable of obliterating Deva Path Yahiko in a single strike without question.
Activating Divine Descent Technique, Kai instantly appeared beside Deva Path Yahiko. However, just as he was about to unleash the Rasenshuriken, an immense repulsive force surged forth, flinging him away.
He tried again, only to be repelled once more by the overwhelming force.
"Completely disregarding the cost to his lifespan to compress the cooldown of Shinra Tensei? Damn it, could he be planning..." Kai's eyes widened as a certain technique surfaced in his mind, his expression growing increasingly grim.
"Uncle Shishio, Third Hokage, forget everything else for now! Evacuate the villagers immediately! If my guess is correct... the entire Konoha might be destroyed!" Kai's eyes remained locked on the floating Deva Path Yahiko, his tone heavy with urgency.
Both Hiruzen Sarutobi and Mitarashi Shishio froze momentarily. Seeing the severity in Kai's expression, they realized the gravity of the situation. Without further hesitation, they abandoned the rampaging summoned beasts on the outskirts of the village and sprinted toward the heart of Konoha to carry out the evacuation.
As expected, Deva Path Yahiko, now suspended in midair, suddenly came to a halt. Slowly, he raised his right arm, his fingers clawing at the air.
A pitch-black sphere formed in his right hand.
Chibaku Tensei.
As one of the forbidden techniques of the Rinnegan, Chibaku Tensei required an enormous toll on the user's lifespan to execute. This technique created a black gravitational core akin to a black hole, possessing an immense gravitational pull. Even the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki, had used this technique to seal the Ten-Tails, which had transformed from the Divine Tree.
Gradually, the black sphere floated toward the skies above Konoha. Staring at the sphere, Deva Path Yahiko clasped his hands together and uttered four words:
"Chibaku Tensei!"
In an instant, the gravitational pull of Chibaku Tensei erupted.
The broken remnants of wood and stone from the battlefield were immediately drawn toward the gravitational core. As Chibaku Tensei rose higher, it absorbed more and more debris, its gravitational force growing exponentially stronger.
Buildings across Konoha were torn apart, and villagers who failed to reach safety zones in time were pulled into the sky. Within mere seconds, the once-thriving village had been reduced to a scene of utter devastation.
"Kai!" Minato's voice rang out, filled with urgency. His expression was one of desperation. Minato could see clearly that if Chibaku Tensei continued its unchecked destruction, not only would Konoha's surface structures be obliterated, but even the villagers hidden in underground shelters would have no chance of survival.
But Minato was preoccupied with the rampaging Nine-Tails and couldn't spare any attention to deal with this unknown technique. He had no understanding of its nature or how to counter it, so he could only place his hopes on Kai.
"Minato, focus on the Nine-Tails. Leave this to me," Kai said firmly.
Hearing Kai's words, Minato felt a slight sense of relief. Though he had no idea how Kai planned to handle such a terrifying technique, his unwavering trust in Kai allowed him to shift his focus back to the Nine-Tails.
Kai, however, stood beneath the growing Chibaku Tensei, his brows tightly furrowed.
At that moment, Deva Path Yahiko spoke coldly, "Mitarashi Kai! Once Chibaku Tensei is complete, it becomes an irreversible process. I admit you are strong, even comparable to me, but you have defied the will of a god. The destruction of Konoha is the price you must pay. Feel pain, so you may understand the value of peace!"
"Such laughable reasoning!" Kai sneered at Deva Path Yahiko's words, his voice dripping with disdain. "Watch closely. I'll show you how I destroy your Chibaku Tensei!"
Open the Gate of Opening! The Gate of Healing! The Gate of Life! The Gate of Pain! The Gate of Limit! The Gate of View! The Gate of Wonder!
In Sage Mode, Kai unleashed the first seven gates of the Eight Inner Gates. Intense natural energy surged around him, flooding into his body. The immense Sage Chakra coursed through his meridians like a raging torrent.
With the vast reserves of Chakra provided by his Sage Body, combined with the power of the seven gates, the amount of Chakra within Kai had reached an incalculable level.
"Sage Art: Wood Release - True Several Thousand Hands!"
A colossal wooden Buddha, towering over a thousand meters high, materialized on the battlefield. Its eyes were closed, and thousands of arms extended behind it like a fan, forming an awe-inspiring display.
Even under the immense gravitational pull of Chibaku Tensei, the True Several Thousand Hands stood firm, rooted to the ground as if immovable.
"What is this?" Deva Path Yahiko murmured, momentarily puzzled. His confidence in Chibaku Tensei prevented him from taking the wooden construct seriously.
"Underestimating me, are we?" Kai smirked. "Then let me show you its true power."

A Buddha may descend with compassion, but it can also manifest as a wrathful protector!
The wooden Buddha's eyes snapped open. Thousands of arms behind it moved in unison, some forming fists, others palms, striking toward the Chibaku Tensei at a rate of tens of thousands of blows per second.
In Sage Mode, combined with the Tenseigan Chakra Mode and the power of the seven gates of the Eight Inner Gates, Kai had entered his strongest form.
It was precisely because of his confidence in his own strength that Kai hadn't immediately resorted to destroying the gravitational core of Chibaku Tensei with a Rasenshuriken.
Under the relentless assault of the True Several Thousand Hands: Top Transcendent Buddha, it took only a few seconds for Chibaku Tensei to show signs of collapse. The gravitational core began to falter, unable to withstand the onslaught.
After a dozen or so seconds, Chibaku Tensei could no longer endure the relentless barrage. It was forcibly blasted into the far reaches of the sky. Perhaps the gravitational core remained intact, but that was no longer Kai's concern.
"Impossible! How could Chibaku Tensei be destroyed?!" Deva Path Yahiko exclaimed, his corpse-like face showing a rare hint of fear and disbelief.
Kai raised a Rasenshuriken in his hand, ready to finish off Deva Path Yahiko.
But before he could act, a figure wearing a swirling mask appeared beside Deva Path Yahiko. The figure's right eye, a Mangekyo Sharingan, spun as he activated his technique.
In the next instant, both Deva Path Yahiko and the masked man disappeared.
"Kamui, huh? A personal space-time technique... Truly an enviable and frustrating ocular jutsu," Kai muttered, frowning. Then, he turned his gaze toward Minato's battlefield.
