Something felt off from the very moment I woke up this morning, and I couldn't tell what it was even though I could feel it in my guts. Maybe it was because I was finally resuming the office today after weeks of reconstruction. Maybe I was weighed down by the knowledge that I won't get to spend the whole day at home with Nicole and the kids. Maybe or just maybe my body was giving me a sign that something unpleasant was about to happen.
Nevertheless, I climbed out of the bed, and made my way to the bathroom where I heard the sound made by Nicole as she brushed her teeth. Strange! It was a few minutes past 05:00 AM, and she should be in bed, sleeping. We had agreed that she wouldn't resume the office, at least not physically, and now she was getting dressed. Does it mean she wasn't in line with the idea?
The thought of Nicole resuming the office distracted the feeling I had earlier that something was off as I made my way to the bathroom.
