Chapter 150 - Chapter 150: Seizing the Treasures

"The banner has fallen!"

"The banner has fallen!"

"Disaster! The chieftain has been slain!"

"It's the Wizard, the Wizard…"

"Run for your lives!"

As Atedia's sword struck down the flagpole, the commander's banner tumbled to the ground.

Roy, too, wielded his chain spear, dispatching the last few Black Knights who had surrounded him.

The cavalry of ten thousand was in complete disarray!

In truth, the number of men Roy had directly slain thus far barely reached a hundred.

Not even three or five hundred, but merely one or two hundred.

Yet an army is composed largely of low-ranking Knights, including slaves and captives.

They could not maintain high morale or the courage to fight to the death.

With the banner fallen, they scattered in an instant.

"Hold your ground! Hold your ground, I say!"

"Damn you cowards, afraid to die!"

The leaders of the Bloodhoof Tribe tried to stem the tide, but to no avail.

Everywhere was a sea of people, colliding, trampling, discarding armor, fleeing in panic…

Even those who turned their weapons against their own were countless.

At this moment, a small contingent of troops emerged from the side.

It was a war band bearing the banner of the Blood Mane Tribe.

Yanila and Celine had finally found their chance to strike, pursuing the fleeing enemy and swiftly expanding their gains.

On the other flank, Andov, Winter, and others also joined the fray.

With strong acids, poisonous mists, and raging fires…

They felled scores with each strike.

Having left his homeland, Roy had not opened the exchange for the "Orchard Curse" in his personal store.

But for Blood Mercury and Blackening Potions,

he had gradually made them available to his subordinates.

This was a benefit granted to Andov and others, combined with currency issuance,

and a tool for their advancement.

Roy watched as Andov cast spells, unleashing vast clouds of poison.

He specialized in "Strong Acid Refinement," and with the Blackening Potion, he could create a corrosive liquid of terrifying lethality.

Inspired by Roy, he had mastered the "Acid Mist Spell," which was highly effective against large numbers of mortal beings.

Olinda also used these materials to craft nitrated Magic Crystals, combining them with "Element Extraction" to create more potent Alchemy Bombs.

These had always been formidable weapons in mortal warfare, and even on the Plane Battlefield, they still served well.

"It's said that on truly brutal battlefields, each person must endure thousands of such bombs every day…

Without sufficiently sturdy shelters or protective arrays, even a formal Wizard would be blown to smithereens by attacks of this magnitude!"

Roy thought to himself, and as expected, he saw large numbers of centaurs being blown apart or injured.

Roy paid them no mind, first inspecting the armor of the Black Knights and the various supplies.

"These ten sets of Black Knight armor at the Grand Knight level, sold to my teacher, should fetch 50,000 Magic Stones."

This was almost equivalent to the reward for the mission itself, bringing him one step closer to his goal of exchanging for the "Shatranj Chess" secret technique.

Indeed, refining the Star Iron Chain Spear earlier was like sharpening the axe before chopping wood!

"Lord Roy, we've found some good things, come and take a look."

At that moment, Ivent, Ottoli, Greet, and others called out, their voices tinged with excitement.

"What is it?"

Roy patted Atedia's waist, and she, understanding his intent, trotted over to them.

The first thing that caught their eyes were the scattered supply carriages on the battlefield, filled to the brim with large chests of gold coins.

To call them "gold coins" might not be entirely accurate; "gold discs" would be a more fitting description.

Their craftsmanship was far from sophisticated, even bordering on primitive.

Yet, a faint trace of magical energy, tinged with leyline energy, subtly emanated from them.

This mark of magical radiation contamination was a characteristic of enchanted items.

Even in the Wizard World, these held value equivalent to magic stones.

They could be directly used as materials in certain wizardry rituals or alchemical operations.

"There must be at least ten thousand of them, and we didn't take a single one!"

Ivent and the other two quickly assured.

Roy chuckled, "Yeah, right."

However, since these people didn't possess storage wizardry artifacts, even if they had tried to sneak some, they couldn't have taken much.

Roy didn't say much more and simply collected them, then turned his attention to the other treasures nearby.

There were dozens of treasures scattered around!

All of them were apprentice-level materials imbued with wizardry energy or some form of demonization.

"Is this... a Wisdom Fruit?"

Roy's gaze settled on a fruit-like treasure, and a look of pleasant surprise appeared on his face.

"This can be used to brew Wisdom Potion!"

It had a golden exterior, resembling a lemon but more solid and radiant, exuding a peculiar fragrance.

Similar to the "blood persimmon" in the Blood Persimmon Potion he had consumed before, it didn't enhance physical strength but rather boosted mental attributes.

For wizards, its use was limited, but it could help apprentices manifest their willpower runes.

"This Magic Wolf Heart, once crystallized and specially treated, becomes a demonized organ with corresponding elemental attributes!

And it happens to be of the fire element. Properly refined, it can become a decent 'Magic Heart,' capable of unleashing several tens of degrees of spell power!"

"And the Frost Leopard Skin, also a demonized treasure, offers some cold resistance and can withstand minor spells like the Ice Cone Spell..."

Various plant fruits, certain ores, organs, fur, claws, and teeth of demonized animals.

They could either be used as potion ingredients or in wizardry rituals and the creation of arcane objects.

All of them held considerable value.

"Where did they get so many good things?"

Andov and the others, upon hearing the news, also came over to take a look, feeling quite astonished.

Roy said, "This is not surprising. A low-magic world, especially one that has produced second or even third-tier heroes, would always have some leylines or magical veins.

Although they have been strictly controlled for centuries, some would inevitably fall into the hands of the centaurs."

Everyone nodded, "That makes sense."

"Thankfully, they haven't mastered the processing techniques. If they had turned these into various spell tools, they could pose a certain threat to us!"

Roy pondered for a moment and then addressed the group, "Each participating apprentice will receive 3 materials and 1000 magic gold coins.

The previously promised war mission reward of 1000 magic stones is separate."

"Oh, that's great!"

"Generous Lord Roy, we really love you!"

Everyone exclaimed joyfully.

The distribution here was equivalent to several thousand magic stones per person.

These centaurs were far more powerful than the local Fishmen, but with a Wizard-level expert leading the way, dealing with them wasn't too difficult, and the rewards were even greater.

They were all quite satisfied.

Roy didn't pay them any attention and instead turned his gaze to another treasure chest.

Inside, there was a stone mostly wrapped in colorful silk.

The centaurs seemed to hold it in high regard, placing it on a golden platter as if it were a sacred offering.
