Date: 22-08-2550. 6:02 AM. Location: Edge of the Farhan Desert.
The Osprey with Honor team on board was now approaching the edge of the Farhan Desert. No Concord had followed or intercepted them yet. Seven still sat in the cockpit. The others were sleeping. Seven however hadn't had sleep for two days straight now and she did begin to feel it though she was still a bit off from falling asleep. But she did notice tiredness and fatigue setting in.
The cockpit door than opened, Seven looked kept her gaze out onto the outside infront of her. Mason walked in to the cockpit and and walked up to next of her. He than looked to her. "Seven you should take some rest you haven't slept for several days now." Seven looked to him and gave a nod. She stood up from the pilot seat and Mason got onto the pilot seat. "I'll fly the Osprey while you Seven, get some rest it's still at least eight hours of flying."
Seven nodded and walked out of the cockpit and into the back of the Osprey where everyone else was sleeping. The cockpit door closed behind her. Mason turned his head to look outside infront of the Osprey. He got comfortable it was still a long flight ahead of them.
Seven walked over to the right bench next to At'aria who was curled up on the bench sleeping. Seven sad down next to her, placing her RA rifle and shotgun in the weapon holsters attached to the Osprey's interior walls. Seven laid back and closed her eyes she slowly drifted into sleep.
Date: 22-08-2550. 14:21 AM. Location: Farhan Desert. Destination: 136 Kilometers from the Farhan Drydocks.
Seven woke up first out of everyone sleeping currently. She looked around she saw everyone was still sleeping they were exhausted from the last few days. Seven got up and grabbed her RA shotgun and rifle and reattached them to her back. She than walked upto the cockpit door and opened it than walked into the cockpit. "Good afternoon Seven." Mason said as Seven walked into the cockpit. Seven looked at him. She gave a simple nod back.
However as they were flying. Mason looked to the sensor next to him. The exterior sensors detected enemy movement. Mason frowned under his helmet. "Fuck not now goddammit not when we are so fucking close." Mason cursed out loud of frustration. Seven grabbed her RA rifle. And walked over to the back ramp. The commotion caused everyone to wake up immediately.
"I guess the Connys just had to ruin the party huh." Ivan joked. Seven didn't respond to Ivan. She instead pressed the side panel and opened up the back ramp. Seven aimed her RA and took a shot precisely for the pilot. The shot from Seven's RA Rifle passed straight through the Concord fighter and into the head of the Concord pilot.
The Concord fighter than began descending and crushed straight into the ground. Than more concord fighters began approaching from the back Seven shot each and every single one of them out of the sky. Mason also shot Concord fighters out of the sky with the heavy guns of the Osprey. However a Concord fighter than approached from the side and plasma shot the thrust engines of the Osprey's front left side.
The plasma shot melted through the armor around the thrust engine. Than the plasma got into the thrust engine melting it. Mason than began to lose control over the Osprey, it began to fall towards the ground. Seven shot the Concord fighter out of the sky who shot them out of the sky just now.
Seven than closed the back ramp. And she than grabbed the grab handle on the sealing of the Osprey. Mason than yelled "Everyone get ready were about to crash!" Dozens of seconds later the Osprey crashed into the ground.
"Agh Damned Connys" Ivan said. While having a metal pipe in his leg that pierced his hip during the crash. But he grabbed a still intact sniper rifle and shoot one of the engines of the Concord fighters. Resulting in one of them crashing into a rock formation. Is "Is Corthania still intact?" Mason asked.
"Yes sir" Seven responded. "Good. how far do we still have to go six?" Mason responded than asking Elena the distance still left to go. "136 clicks, that's at minimum just over one full day of walking if we keep our pase up sir." Elena said. "Yeah, I don't think that's going to work for me sadly" they all looked to Ivan as he said that. "Dammit, this isn't good" Mason reacted. "Yeah, I got a metal pipe shoved up my hip like that's gonna stopped me, I'll use it as my new walking stick hahaha." Ivan jokingly said. "You're bleeding badly and unable to walk. And you find this funny?" Elena said irritated.
"Nah just some ugh, just a bit of water for along the way." Ivan responded. "Cut it both of you. We need think of something." Mason said to both of them. "No you don't boss, agh fuck. just leave me here I'll only just slow you guys down. So I'll keep the Connys busy and even offer them a snack haha, huh, agh" Ivan said while holding a bullet and showing it the team. "Stop joking Ivan, this isn't funny" Mason said. "Ha, sorry boss, no can do." Ivan replied back. "But seriously just go, there isn't much time left the Connys are coming and we don't know how long the Dawn will remain hidden from them. Or stay on planet" Ivan said.
Mason Took off his helmet and knelt down on his knees besides Ivan. "We won't leave you behind Two. We already have lost enough" Mason said in a saddened tone." Ivan grabbed onto Mason's shoulder. "This isn't an request Boss. It's an order from me. I can't walk anymore so just go! I'll slow them down while get going." Ivan responded to Mason.
"I make the orders here remember?" Mason replied back. "Haha, I know but I'm ordering you as a friend." Ivan responded to back to Mason. *sigh* "Alright, Ivan we will leave behind than. As you want." Mason placed his hand on Ivan's shoulder. "It was good to have you on our team and to have you as a good friend." Mason said somberly.
"Huh who knew you had a soft side." Ivan jokingly said. Mason laughed to that. "Goodbye Ivan" "Goodbye Mason." They said to each other. "Goodbye Ivan" Elena said to Two "Goodbye to you as well Elena you never liked my jokes so now you'll finally be rid of them" Ivan joked. "To think I'll actually miss them huh." Elena said sadly. "Hah I knew you liked them" Ivan joked.
"oh I didn't imply that you old dumb ass." She joked back. "Farewell Ivan." Elena finished "Farewell Elena" Ivan replied back with a nod. "Seven you never did say much did you." Ivan said to Seven. Seven looked to Ivan in the Eyes. "Ah you don't need to say anything." Ivan saluted to Seven so Seven saluted back to Ivan. "And you At'aria, It was for these fews days." Ivan finished. "And you as well Ivan. I did like your jokes I miss." At'aria responded. Ivan took off his helmet. He smiled at her. "Ha good someone at least liked them" he replied he than looked to everyone.
"Go now no feel sorry there's a mission for you to finish. And for me to finish my final mission, delay the enemy. And than afterwards get early retirement." Ivan finished the goodbye conversation. Ivan raised his hand and saluted Honor team. Go give them hell for we have lost." Ivan Said. The remaining members of Honor team saluted back to Ivan. Mason, Elena, At'aria turned around and began to walked away. Seven give one final look and her final nod to Ivan. He than returned the gesture. Seven then looked to the others who were now existing the downed Osprey. Seven then also walked out of the Osprey and rejoined the others.
Ivan grabbed that sniper rifle again he used to down a Concord fighter earlier to his left. After Seven existed the Osprey. He looked to the pipe in his hip. "It just had to be that damn area for a pipe of all things to finally get me. Ha ironic I did say that something dumb was gonna get me killed. Ha I guess I was after all." Ivan said to himself. He than grabbed the pipe that was stuck in his right hip with his right hand and ripped it out. He grunted a bit from that. Ivan than threw the pipe away and crawling over to a broken open area of the Osprey.
He got on his belly and placed the sniper rifle on the ground and aimed it at some Concord ground forces whom had just arrived.
"Alright Connys your snack time is here." Ivan said to himself. He than began to shot dozens at the Concord soldiers they got shot dead. However more arrived and eventually Ivan got surrounded his sniper ammunition ran out. He switched to his RA shotgun. "Well I'll one of the Connys kill me." He said to himself.
Ivan than aimed his RA shotgun just as the first Concord Durtan bursted into the Osprey. The Durtan got shot dead but after a few more Ivan knew he only had one round left in the chamber before needing to reload. Something that he didn't have time for he knew. It was gonna get himself killed. Ivan aimed the RA shotgun to his head. He closed his eyes and [BANG!] The last shot the remnants of Honor team heard.
They knew what that last shot was. No one Siad a word they all knew what that final shot was. "We lost Marco, Amelia, George... and now, Ivan too. Because leave behind." Elena remorsed. "Yeah, this war has taken to much from us" Mason said in a somber tone. Seven continued to remain silent she remained focused. Ivan's death was one of many she had experienced before. The Honor team continued walking on in silence further.
Date: 22-08-2550. 17:21 AM. Location: Farhan Desert. Destination: 118 Kilometers from the Farhan Drydocks.
"Ugh fuck it we wont make it in time. We need transportation" Elena complained. "And good thing too I just probably got us some." Everyone looked to Mason. Mason turned around to face everyone and to show his holographic map of the area "Look over here an old small military outpost it will have some transportation waiting for. Turning this several day journey into a few hours of travel." Mason explained.
"Good than get of this dying rock. The sooner the better." Amelia responded. Seven simply nodded and so did At'aria. "Good than let's get there." Mason responded. "It's only 3 clicks away from here a minute run for us." Mason finished. Seven grabbed At'aria and placed her on her shoulder. At'aria got suprised by this by Seven. Mason, Elena, and Seven with At'aria on her shoulder began to sprint.
The distance was covered just within two minutes of running. They encountered no Concord on their way. The fighters had lost them a short time ago. When they arrived they were out of breath. "*Heavy breathing* We made it. Let's get inside before we get spotted. *heavy exhale*" Seven placed down At'aria as Mason told them his next order. They all nodded and then walked over too the metal fence of the small military outpost.
They jumped the fence Seven helped At'aria get over the fence while she climbed it. Once they were on the otherside they got to the entrance their backs against the wall. Seven pushed the door open and she walked in slowly, her RA shotgun raised. She scanned the room. Clear she gestured the others walked in.
Mason walked in last and he closed the door just in time as Concord fighter flew overhead the small military outpost. "Alright let's get to the garage than get on a vehicle and get the hell out off here." Mason said to the others. "Yeah let's go check the garage." Amelia responded.
At'aria than thought to herself about what looked like a human hangerbay. "What about the hangerbay this outpost has?" At'aria asked Mason, who turned to looked back to look at her. "No to risky especially with these damned Concord starfighters in the air. It'll attract attention more than if we drove in a ground vehicle." Mason answered At'aria's question. At'aria nodded to him and walked with them to the garage. Seven walked to a window first to check if any Concord were coming. She looked through it, nothing it was clear. Seven turned her head to the door. She grabbed a metal object and pushed into the handles of the entrance doors.
Looking them to the outside.
Seven then walked to the Hanger instead of joining the others. Seven walked through a few small hallways and reached the Hanger. Seven saw a single Osprey was behind by the troops who were posted here. Seven walked to the hanger door and pressed a button, which lead to them starting to open. Seven ran back to the Osprey she walked onto it's back ramp and into the Osprey. She got to the cockpit and sat down. She turned it's engines on and she head a loud boom. and she than a transport driving out of the garage from the hanger she was in.
Seven knew the others had gotten into that transport. Seven grabbed the controls and took off with the Osprey. as she than got a question from Mason through the comms "Seven where are you?" He asked. Seven didn't answer immediately as she first took off and shot a single rooming Concord fighter out of the air while she was at it
Seven flew the Osprey to the transport where the others where in. She than answered Mason through the comms, "In the air, sir" she replied with in a firm tone. Mason that said something to himself. "You do like dramatics don't you?" Corthania asked Seven. "No" Seven responded to Corthania.
Meanwhile just a moment before this. "Where all the troops at? There's no one here." Amelia asked Mason. "I don't know Amelia probably evacuated to the Dawn or they fled elsewhere to probably find their families or friends. Or simply got evacuated to other more important regions currently or were besieged by the Concord like New Amsterdam was." Mason answered Amelia.
"Alright that does answer that question. Anyway this Armored troop transport vehicle looks good right? Heavy autocannon on the top great for against Concord fighters or Silvoths in the air." Amelia responded and than pointed at the Armored transport vehicle as she finished her sentence.
"Yes this will do nicely I'll take the drivers seat." Mason replied. Elena you got the gun" Mason told Elena. Elena nodded. Mason walked to the front of the transport opened the armored front door and climbed in. Closing the door behind him he got into the drivers seat. Mason checked the key slot the keys were in luckily. "Good the keys are still in here and the fuel tank is full good." Mason said ro himself. He than placed his hands on the steering wheel.
Elena opened the back door. And climbed into the back of the transport. She walked to the back and got into the enclosed armored cannon seat. At'aria walked over to the garage door. And when she was about to open it. She heard movement on the other side. Heavy footsteps Krovon she knew. She gestured to Mason that there were Concord on the otherside. He than turned on the armored Transport immediately.
"Elena aim the autocannon at the garage door. We got Concord" Mason ordered Elena. "Copy that." Elena responded. At'aria pressed the garage door button to open. The garage door than started opening. And she then ran quickly to the back of the transport and climbed in. She slammed the door closed behind her and slammed her fist against the transports wall. Signaling Mason she was in.
The garage door opened halfway, the Krovon already began to enter. Enela than opened fire on them tearing them to shreds. Mason than pressed his foot against the gas pedal. And the transport began driving.
The transport got out of the garage. But At'aria noticed Seven wasn't in the back like she thought. "Mason where is Seven?" At'aria asked Mason through a small window between the driver seat and back of the transport. "Wait Seven didn't get in? Shit!" Mason responded concerned. He turned on his comms "Seven where are you?" He asked. He was met with silence for a few seconds than he heard engines coming to live and something taking off into the air. And hearing something being shot out of the sky. "In the air, sir" Seven responded.
Mason sighed. "Of course you are, well at least air cover now i guess." He than said. Both vehicles with them than headed towards the Farhan Drydocks. Both traveling at 230 is kilometers an hour. They would be there in 30ish minutes from now
Date: 22-08-2550. 17:49 AM. Location: Farhan Desert. Destination: 118 Kilometers from the Farhan Drydocks.
"Sir can see the Forward Until Dawn's Shield Dome" Seven said to Mason through the communication system of the Osprey. "Good thanwere almost there just few more minutes." Mason responded. Looking at Seven through the holographic screen of the transport he was driving in. "Elena and At'aria were almost there." Mason said to both of them "Good than we can finally get off this rock.
They continued traveling until Seven noticed the Osprey's sensors alerting her of several Concord fighters approaching them. "Sir, Concord." Seven warned Mason. "Elena shot them down" Mason told Elena. "Copy that" Elena responded. Than starting to shoot at the Concord fighters. "Seven land Osprey we can't risk you getting trapped in it if you crash land or worse."
Seven gave a nod in response and turned the Osprey to the a Concord fighter. She got up from the cockpit while pressing a button to open the back ramp. She than ran out of the Osprey as it crashed into a Concord fighter. Seven than landed on the transport. Where the others were in. She than opened the armored door of the front passenger seat. And she then climbed in and sat down.
"Impressive Seven." Mason remarked. Seven gave a nod. They than continued on in the Armored vehicle. Mason pressed a communication console and opened up contact to the Dawn. "This is Riftan-III Mason Stone squad leader of Honor team, we have the package Dawn." Mason said to the Dawn. "Good we are about to take off. You have ten minutes to get on board. as we can't shut off the engines otherwise we will sitting ducks to the Concord." Admiral Kells responded through the comms.
"Copy that sir." Mason responded. "Very well Riftan. Im sorry to say but one of you must stay behind as to retake a MAC turret from the Concord. Because they have taken control of it" Admiral Kells continued. "I'll do it. Elena responded. "Good than we will wait for the rest of you." Admiral Kells finished. Before cutting communications.
"What?! No! Elena you won't I'll do it. Can't stand seeing more of us dying." Mason responded shocked. "I'm sorry sir but I lost to many to carry on. And both you and Seven are far more important than me. I have made up my mind sir." Elena countered. *sigh* Mason sighed before responding. "Alright than, you do it. Six" Mason said in a somber tone. They soon encountered rubble of the road preventing them from continuing in vehicle as they were on an cliff side. "Shit we need continue on foot." Mason said as everyone got out of the vehicle.
They all began to ran Elena carried At'aria on her shoulder in one arm. They had two kilometers to cover. They ran as hard as they could all reaching just about or above 70 kilometers an hour. They ran through dozens of Concord soldiers whom were getting really close to the shield dome. When they reached the main facility Elena split off. "Good luck all of you she said." While putting down At'aria. "You too, Elena said with an heavy heart. Knowing Elena was going to die from this. Seven placed a hand on his shoulder and pointed him they had to go. Seven gave a final nod to Elena and so did she to her.
They than split Mason, Seven and At'aria ran to the shield dome. Elena looked to the facility and made her way inside running through its hallways. Dead league soldiers everywhere she looked . She fought through hordes of Concord getting to the top in about a minute. Going through dozens of floors. She finally ran to the gun when she got to its location. She hopped on.
Now controlling the light class Mac turret. She aimed it at Concord dropships whom were firing on Mason, Seven, and At'aria. She lowered the output of the MAC turret as to not cause a massive explosion. When shooting at the Concord dropships. Mason, Seven, and At'aria meanwhile got behind cover. The plasma fire almost hitting them. The covering fire from Elena destroyed the concord dropship. The local Concord forces were defeated for now.
So the shield dome lowered as Mason, Seven and At'aria got to a ridge of the dry dock bay they were on. that stopped them from continuing. But dozens of Osprey's came to pick them up. One of them landed in front of them. Admiral Kells stepped out of it. Seven pulled Corthania's AI chip out, And gave Corthania to him. "Doctor Madison said you would successfully bring her to me." Admiral Kells said as he got back on the Osprey. "Not alone I haven't." Seven remarked not a hint of emotion. "Indeed they will be remembered for this. Now get on." Mason got on first than At'aria whom confused the soldiers guarding the Admiral. But as Seven was about to step on. "AAAAGHHHHHH!" A loud stream came from the MAC. "NOOO ELENA!" Mason yelled.
"Come on, Seven get on!" Admiral Kells shouted to Seven. Telling her to get on the Osprey "Negative, I'll finish this fight." Seven responded. "No, Seven you wont survive!" Mason countered desperately. Admiral Kells however gave a nod. "Very well, good luck to you Riftan" he finished with a salute to Seven as the Osprey's backramp he was on closed. And flew back to the Dawn.
Seven looked to the MAC turret. three minutes left she knew. Seven ran into the facility of the MAC turret and encountered new Concord soldiers in it Dozens of Senglos Seven ravaged through them with her RA shotgun. And her PSGs providing good energy shielding keeping her safe from plasma shots or plasma swords. Seven killed the last of them.
When she reached the last floor. She ran out of the door and to the MAC turret. She jumped up a few meters and landed on the cockpit of the MAC turret. She than got in. As a 2 kilometer Concord cruiser arrived to fire it's plasma scorch cannon. Seven turned up the MAC turrets firepower output to max. She rotated the MAC turret to face the Concord cruiser. And when it was about to fire it's plasma beam from the plasma scortvh cannon it lowered it's shield in that section.
Seven pressed the fire button. The MAC turret fired with the fire power of half a megaton of TNT right into the exposed plasma scorch cannon. It caused a critical over load in the Concord cruiser's reactor. It began to tilt left wards away from the Dawn. It than crashed into the ground.
Seven climbed out of the MAC turret. When she got off the ladder and onto the foundation of the MAC turret. She looked to the Dawn. It took off flying into the sunset as the sun was now setting. She was now alone on Harvest she knew. Seven left the MAC turret and walked over to Elena who was dead thrown onto the ground. Seven picked up her corpse and carried it with her. She than walked to the door she had just gone through and opened it. Coming across a Senglo down the hallway.
She killed him with a simple shot from her RA shotgun. Seven fought through another wave of Concord until she reached the bottom floor again and existed the facility. Seven headed for the shield dome. Passing the ridge that was in her way earlier as she now had time to go around it.
She got into the kilometers long shield dome and walked through it looking for an Osprey. After searching for a while she found one. She walked to its it's back. And lowered it's backramp. Seven then walked onto it and into the Osprey she closed the backramp and leaned down a bit to lay down Elena on the left seat bench of the Osprey in the back. She then stood back up and walked into the cockpit. She sat down, and took off her helmet looking at it for a second before putting it back on.
She pressed a button and started the Osprey's propulsion engines she grabbed onto the controls and lifted off the ground. flying out of the hanger where the Osprey was located in. Seven then fly out of the shield dome as two Concord corvettes and a single Concord cruiser arrived out of orbit near the shield dome. They than began scorching it after a few minutes.
Seven didn't glance back the mission was done now Corthania got safely delivered to the Dawn.
