The existence of the Solace Clan was a mere myth, a clan blessed by The Dragon of Evil, 'Solace' lived peacefully. Hidden away from the rest of humanity, they were seen as protectors of the unknown, keeping the rest of the world safe from what they were unaware of. The clan was secure from the dangers of the outside world through a specialized Magic Barrier. Up until the birth of this accursed child came to be.
The night of this child's birth, She was left to rest. As the night carried on, an Archangel, one descended into a devilish state of pure madness and mischief, appeared before the newborn child.
"You're the key to my perfect future!~ whether you like it or not~"
He laughed as he pressed his finger against the child's head, Infusing her with the curse of "Rollback", something that would change everything about her life. The Archangel stares down at her, a cruel look plastered onto his face.
The next morning a young clan member goes to meet the newborn Heir to the throne, As he stands before the young girl, a wicked sensation falls upon him. He stands in fear, feeling this strange Mana swelling deep into his core, he runs off to the head of the clan, Ardun Solace, a strong-willed man with the signature crimson eyes and burning red hair of the Royal Solace Family.
"There's just.. something about this child, I'm telling you! It's sickening."
The young clan member cries out to Ardun, a desperate plea for him to listen. Ardun's face grows into an expression of pure anger with The young man's next words.
"That foul Mana leaking off of her! It's that horrifying curse.. Nightmare!"
Ardun stares with a furious look, he stands up, walking forward until he stands directly in front of the man.
"You assume someone of our blood would be tainted with such a cursed essence.. Especially my own daughter?!"
The man steps back, thinking before he speaks, preparing for what might come to him after the outburst.
"Yes.. Yes! I do assume! I fought against that disgusting curse before.. that child gives off that exact sense of nightmare!"
Ardun bites back his obvious anger and begins to speak calmly.
"Tell me, is this child's curse her fault? I shan't punish her so cruelly over something out of her control. In the future, shall something horrible arise from letting her go on, I shall take responsibility for it."
The young man looks at the ground, having realized his rushed accusations, his eyes stay glued to the floor. He musters up the courage to raise his eyes again, now staring Ardun in the eyes.
"That accusation, It was wrong, I am still on edge, after what happened three years ago."
Ardun turns around, walking forward to return to his throne. After sitting down, he speaks in a firm tone.
"I understand your concern, however, to assume something so crude, and use that tragedy as an excuse. It brings a bad image to the Solace Clan name."
The man turns around, apologizing as he leaves the room. Now alone, Ardun looks to the side, staring into the eyes of someone standing in the shadows.
"You have taken what we owed you, why are you still standing before me here."
From the darkness, a voice reaches out in response to Ardun.
"I must ask, Ardun, Why were you so willing to allow me to claim that debt you owed? One you knew would effect her life in such a way, you know you could have turned me down, right?~"
The voice taunts him, obviously trying to anger him.
"It makes little sense, sacrificing your daughter's chance at a happy life, simply to just repay what you did three years ago."
Ardun looks away, a nervous and embarrassed look on his face, speaking quietly.
"We both know, had I said no, you would have taken much more than my daughter, Maya's freedom."
He steps from the shadows, a crooked smirk on his face as he stands before Ardun.
"oh my~ it seems that you know me all too well, Ardun."
Ardun's angered expression grows upon seeing the face of the Archangel that cursed Maya.
"I'm well aware, now that you have your answer, I must kindly request that you leave, Caelos."
Caelos laughs as he turns around, a red static surrounding him, as he begins to vanish, he speaks but eight words.
"What is to come, know it's your fault."
Ardun's eyes sink to the floor, knowing Caelos' words carried a heavy truth.
"I must apologize, when you're old enough to understand, I'll explain everything, Maya."
