"..."
Sadako held her face where she'd been slapped, and she actually looked a little wronged.
Just then, Roy noticed that Kayako, who he'd just been tangling with, had already run off, and even Toshio, who had been squatting by the windowsill, had vanished.
"Damn it! They actually ran!" Roy was really ticked off. For someone with his build, taking on two of them was just a warm-up.
Looking again, this Sadako in front of him didn't seem so bad either. Sadako's face was similar to Kayako's; maybe all vengeful evil spirits just have that kind of terrifying look that freaks people out.
Figure-wise, Sadako's... assets definitely couldn't compare to Kayako's. After all, Kayako had already had a child when she died, while Sadako was still just a girl.
But Sadako had really long legs. Even if they weren't quite as amazing as someone like Jennifer, they weren't far off. Hmm, maybe this could actually work?
Sadako looked terrified, her mouth opening and closing as if she was trying to say something. But even if Roy could understand her, he wouldn't have cared.
"Come here, you!" He grabbed Sadako by the hair and forced her down. For a disobedient evil spirit like this, the first step was a little... talking to. Hmm, he really was too kind, still willing to give her a chance.
Female ghosts were definitely different – ice-cold temperature, weightless feel, and a unique kind of touch. It was a shame he couldn't understand what she was saying; Roy couldn't get any feedback from the ghost.
But seeing Kayako's and Sadako's faces go from terrified to... well, normal, they probably weren't in too much distress, right? It's a shame the Key of Solomon didn't have any relevant information on this. Looks like there haven't been many people throughout history brave enough to become... spectral riders.
An hour later, Roy finally finished his... encounter. This time, since no one interrupted, Roy could clearly see the change in Sadako's face, and the malice radiating from her had definitely lessened.
When Roy finally let go of Sadako, he could see her bashfully covering her face before quickly disappearing into the floor. Huh? Did he just... fix her brain?
As soon as Sadako was gone, all the appliances in the house started working again, the heat kicked back on, and the room warmed up quickly.
After getting off twice, Roy's mood had finally stabilized, but then he realized he hadn't gotten any kind of reward. What gives? Didn't those two times just now count as conquering Sadako and Kayako?
These ghosts were definitely harder to deal with than regular women! Plus, Roy's fear level had completely bottomed out. He didn't even get to try out any of the special abilities of his Son of the Devil form; he just ripped open a dimensional rift out of anger. He felt like he'd missed out!
"Damn it! Don't let me catch you again!" As soon as he finished speaking, Roy gained some fear points out of nowhere.
Could it be that those two ghosts were still lurking around in the house, secretly watching him? He needed to come up with a way to draw them out, otherwise it would be a pain in a couple of days when he left Heather to go find Niddy and Jennifer!
Roy's eyes lit up; he suddenly had an idea.
Just then, Heather woke up, her eyes hazy, and hugged Roy. "Roy, did I just fall asleep? Why does it feel like there are so many people in the room?"
Not many people, just three ghosts. Roy definitely wasn't going to say that; otherwise, Heather would have nightmares for sure.
"No, you're just too tired." Roy kissed Heather's forehead.
"Roy, you're so incredibly strong! I feel like I can barely keep up. Every time we're done, it feels like my soul leaves my body!"
Well, there wasn't much he could do about that. As Roy's physical abilities became more and more superhuman, Heather was just going to have to get used to it. "So, you feeling up for another out-of-body experience right now?"
Heather's face flushed red, and then she rolled on top of him. "I am not giving up!"
Roy really admired her never-say-die attitude, so he decided to give Heather a good workout. This kind of uneven match was pretty tough on Heather; she only lasted about ten minutes before she ran out of steam.
"Heather, you about done?" "Hmph! Roy, your body is just too much! I'm going to have to find some backup to take you on next time!"
Roy hadn't expected Heather to come up with a plan like that just to beat him. So, he took the chance to switch things up, taking the lead while whispering a few things in Heather's ear.
"Hmm, really? Well, I'm totally on board with that. I'm willing to do whatever you want! Ahhh—"
With that, Heather let out another scream. The... activity ended there. Roy was still concerned about Heather's well-being and didn't push her to keep going.
Holding the exhausted Heather close, Roy finally closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. He realized he hadn't had a proper rest in two days. But even in his sleep, Roy remained highly alert.
If those two ghosts dared to show up in the bedroom, they'd be caught in an instant.
The night passed without incident. Sadako and Kayako were apparently still too scared to cause any trouble.
The next day, Roy woke up refreshed. Heather was quite tired last night and was still fast asleep, so Roy began his plan.
He bit his finger, used his blood to draw on a fresh bed sheet, and quickly, a complex magic circle appeared.
Roy placed the bed sheet with the magic circle facing down on top of Heather, and then left the bedroom to go downstairs and make breakfast.
At that moment, Heather was the only one left asleep upstairs... along with three ghosts.
As soon as Roy was gone, Sadako and Kayako got a lot braver. They couldn't take on that terrifying Son of the Devil, but surely they could handle one little girl, right?
But when it came to deciding what to do with her, the two ghosts didn't see eye to eye. Sadako argued that Heather was the one she'd been after first; she'd been following her for two days. But Kayako disagreed, pointing out that this was *her* turf, so naturally, the guest should defer to the host.
Neither of them could convince the other, and the next thing you know, the two ghosts started going at it right there by the bed.
The power of evil spirits mostly comes down to their own resentment, and Sadako and Kayako both had built-in curse power, making them stronger than your average ghost. Plus, Sadako had been a super powerful psychic in life, able to imprint images onto videotapes with her mind, so she definitely had the edge.
But Kayako wasn't exactly a pushover either. She had her little buddy Toshio, and the two of them together, big ghost and little ghost, weren't too far behind Sadako.
After a silent but intense showdown, both ghosts realized that the other wasn't going to be an easy win. If they really went at it, they'd probably both end up worse for wear.
Besides, if they were being honest, the two ghosts were actually pretty similar. They were both Japanese women, both had suffered terrible deaths after being persecuted, and both had some kind of supernatural powers. If they were living people, they probably would have become best friends by now.
So, after some kind of ghostly negotiation that no living person could ever understand, the two ghosts decided to split Heather as their prize, each taking half.
Just as the two ghosts reached out, one towards Heather's upper body and the other towards her lower body, a golden magic circle suddenly materialized out of nowhere.
