Sylvia stood amidst the ruins of the battlefield, dark mist slowly receding, leaving behind thin but distinct traces of death energy. Beside her, Alicia and Stacia were still chatting casually, as if the recent events were nothing more than a short training session.
"I thought the gods would be more creative," muttered Stacia as she shut her book with a snap. "Just one giant sword that got deflected right away. Disappointing."
Alicia smiled softly, her blue lantern flame still swaying gently in the air, casting a calm light on her serene face. "Maybe they're just testing us. This could've been merely a warm-up."
Sylvia exhaled lightly, her gaze turned to the sky, now clear again but harboring hidden threats behind its white clouds. "If they want to keep testing our limits, I don't mind. But we can't just keep waiting for the next attack. We need to take the initiative."
Stacia raised an eyebrow, slightly intrigued. "Take the initiative how? You have a plan?"
