Chapter 207 - Chapter 205: The Flame That Won’t Die

---

It had been three days since Chirag returned from the jungle. The news of Zheron's return had already spread across every village, city, and land. People were scared. Everyone could feel the change in the air—like a storm was coming.

But Chirag… he was calm.

Even though the enemy they now faced was older than legends, stronger than rulers, and darker than the deepest night—Chirag knew one thing clearly: this time, they must not fight alone.

---

Gathering the Strong and the Brave

Chirag stood in the great courtyard of Origin Point. He looked around at the many faces—some familiar, some new.

There were warriors with golden armor, peaceful monks from the mountain temples, young element users still learning, demon allies from the Crimson Woods, and even a few gods and rulers who had once refused to work together.

Siya stood beside him, glowing with quiet power.

Kael hovered above the crowd, wind swirling around him.

"Today," Chirag spoke, his voice echoing, "we are not from different lands. We are not just humans, demons, or gods. We are one force… standing against Zheron."

"Zheron doesn't want to rule just a city or a kingdom," Siya added. "He wants to erase everything that exists now and build a world where only his power matters."

"He was locked away by rulers long ago," Kael said. "But no one remembered him. Not even the gods. And that's dangerous. Because forgotten evils… return stronger."

Chirag looked at the crowd. "That's why we need you. Each of you. Whether you can fight, heal, create, or protect—your part matters. Together, we'll stand."

The crowd stood in silence for a moment… then raised their weapons, hands, and voices.

"For the world!" they shouted.

"For balance!"

"For peace!"

A New Team Forms

That evening, Chirag sat at a stone table with his closest allies. A map of the world was laid out before them, glowing with energy points.

"We've marked the strongest energy points where Zheron's power might grow," Rivan said, pointing at four glowing red dots.

"He feeds on fear, pain, and destruction," Kael added. "We must protect these places, or he will corrupt them."

Chirag nodded. "We'll split into four teams."

Team 1: Siya would lead this group. It included powerful energy readers, defensive spell users, and a few demon warriors. Their job was to protect the Temple of Serenity—a sacred place that kept the balance of emotions in the world.

Team 2: Kael would lead a team to the Northern Storm Caverns, where wild wind energy could be used to either empower or trap Zheron's forces.

Team 3: Rivan would take the earth wielders to the Molten Lands—an area with strong volcanic power that, if corrupted, could burn entire cities.

Team 4: Chirag himself would lead the final team to the Ruins of the Forgotten, where Zheron first awakened. He believed Zheron might return there to gather strength.

Each team was given crystals to communicate across long distances and enchanted scrolls to block dark energy—created by the Top God himself.

A Moment of Peace

Before they all left for their missions, Chirag and Siya sat together under the starry sky. The moonlight made her hair shine like silver.

"Do you think we'll win?" Siya asked quietly.

Chirag looked up. "I don't know. But I do know we won't give up. I'll fight until my last breath… not just to stop Zheron, but to protect everything you and I built."

She smiled softly. "You've changed. You're not the same boy I saved long ago."

"And you're not just the Demon King's daughter anymore," Chirag replied. "You're my light."

They held hands, feeling a rare moment of quiet before the storm ahead.

Into the Fire

The next morning, the teams set out in different directions.

Chirag's team traveled for two days through wild forests, thick mud paths, and finally arrived at the Ruins of the Forgotten—the same jungle he visited before. But now… it was different.

The trees were blackened.

The sky above was covered in dark clouds.

The energy in the air felt thick and poisonous.

"Zheron's power is growing," said Maya, a light wielder on Chirag's team. "He's been here again."

Chirag looked around. "We set up camp here. But quietly. He may be watching."

That night, as the team tried to rest, strange whispers echoed through the jungle. Dreams turned to nightmares. One soldier ran into the woods, screaming about shadows.

Chirag followed.

He found the soldier standing still, eyes wide in fear, whispering, "He showed me the end… He showed me everything burning…"

Chirag grabbed his shoulder. "You're stronger than your fear. Zheron is trying to break your mind. Don't let him."

The soldier nodded slowly. Chirag helped him back.

A Silent Visitor

On the fourth night, as Chirag sat alone near the fire, a dark figure stepped out from the trees.

It was tall… cloaked in black mist.

Zheron.

"You're brave," the dark being said. "But that bravery will become your curse."

Chirag stood, fire lighting in his hand. "I'm not afraid of you."

"No," Zheron said, walking closer. "But you are afraid of losing her. The girl. The one who saved you."

Chirag's heart jumped. "Leave her out of this."

Zheron grinned. "Ah… so that's your weakness. Love. How soft."

Chirag's flames grew brighter. "Love gave me strength. You wouldn't understand that."

Zheron's voice grew colder. "You will kneel, human. Just like the gods once did before me."

"I'm not a god," Chirag said. "I'm something new. Something you can't erase."

And with that, he launched a fireblast toward Zheron—but the dark being vanished, melting into the mist.

Preparing for Battle

The next morning, Chirag called his team together.

"Zheron is here. He's watching us. Testing us."

"So what do we do?" Maya asked.

"We hold the ground. We don't move. We set traps, reinforce the ruins with our strongest spells, and we prepare."

Kael's voice came through the crystal. "Storm Caverns secure. He hasn't reached here."

Siya's voice followed. "Temple protected. But something is building… like a wave of darkness."

Chirag looked out at the jungle.

"He's getting ready," he said.

"And so are we."
