Xavier's broad shoulders blocked most of the view as the cool night breeze slipped through the slightly open window. It was 10 PM. After ignoring work for weeks, he was finally catching up, working overtime to restore order.
Things had been looking up lately, especially after news that his daughter had been found. Brown had told him she was alive, but for some reason, that useless assistant of his still claimed he couldn't locate her.
Xavier clenched his jaw. How big could Owlsgrave possibly be? How could one girl stay hidden this long?
