At a high-end mall, Xavier and Osvaldo sat on opposite sides of a plush sofa, pretending not to glare at each other while they waited for Penny.
She was inside the changing room, trying on a new outfit they were supposed to "judge" for her. It had been her idea, more like an order, and neither of them dared say no.
Before they entered the store, Penny had warned them, twice to behave.
"Don't you two dare cause any scene. If I hear even one growl or threat Father, Mr Osvaldo, I'm walking out and leaving you both to bond over women's handbags."
So, here they were. Silent. Stiff. Civil… on the outside. But on the inside, they both want to tear each other apart.
Xavier sat with one leg crossed, arms folded, lips pressed into a firm line. His sharp eyes, cool and calculating, slid over to Osvaldo, who lounged across from him like he owned the mall.
