It was later than expected.
The bell rang, and they hurriedly jogged back down the stairs when all the lights were gone. They would've left long ago, but Ash insisted she stuck around for a bit more to try a new kind of fusion edible rock that Nroe was working on.
Tarnisha had to pull them out of their delusion of time and told them to return to the dorm before any teacher found out.
"Oh no… We'll be late, Dad will be mad if the academy calls home." Tarnisha muttered, walking down the stairs.
"Relax, it's going to be alright." Ashrosaliera chuckled, patting Tarnisha on her back, "This is not my first rodeo, you just have to run the other way if any of the staff is patrolling that night."
"One day you'll be caught, Ash." Tarnisha frowned, "My dad used to say: Keep walking at night and you'll see a ghost."
"Pfft, what's the worst that could ha-"
