He stood behind a desk, so Kaiden thought he might be the receptionist.
"Morning," The man spat, letting Kaiden know hospitality was not a strong suit of this establishment.
"Morning. I'm looking to speak with another receptionist working here."
"Another receptionist?" the man asked back with a tone that suggested Kaiden was speaking a foreign language.
"Yeah?" Kaiden was surprised. Aria said her mother worked here as a receptionist. If her colleague didn't know her, then just what the hell was going on?
"Let's clear this thing up. You got a name?"
"Julia Levander."
The man smirked upon hearing his words. "Thought so. She was fired, or should I say demoted?" He then started chuckling ominously under his breath, letting his ugly, rotting teeth show.
"… Demoted?" Kaiden couldn't help but feel that something was horribly wrong here.
"Just this morning, the boss had enough of her. She's one of the working girls now."
"I still wish to speak with her."
"Speak?"
